There's a planning ahead and there's being able to respond there and then. If a new boss arrives, you'll figure out it's strenghts and weaknesses. And although the thought being able to weave yourself through the fights dynamically might sound good, look at Monster Hunter, you want a little planning ahead kind-of-action. I think doing it with a pre-setup sounds way more enticing to me than being able to respond with a flick of a switch. Also, it has to do with the balance of the combat and overall feel with a mission board system, I think it will be interesting to see how it ends up. I am keeping my eyes on this, gonna wait until I watch some more gameplay when it releases, but it looks promising. Not entirely convinced yet, I hope it has some depth in the end-game. Also, very nice to see that there are game developers that don't abuse its playerbase with microtransactions. Genshin Impact is something I never understood why was accepted in the first place. I've grown to love jrpg's since I played the early FF series and the best way to aquire items in games is by unlocking them through gameplay. When cosmetics came along, I had a strong gut feeling, it is preying on the players. I am against it for the same reason now as I figured out back then so many years ago. Cosmetics is one thing I can live with though, if there are good looking stuff already in place, but p2w tactics is something I boycott games for, with ease. So here's to hoping this will be nothing of the sort, and that the game will be great. Here's to a healthy game!
as a fan of the original mobile game its already feel unreal that the game is finally coming out(its becoming inside joke in the gbf community that the game would keep delayed and will never came out) let alone seeing so many people who didnt know the franchise existence say they cant wait to play the game when its released

It feels like the game was tailor made for me specifically with everything I enjoy in a game all mashed together lol, been counting the days up to its release since I first learned about it 3 months ago I'll definitely be checking out other gbf content, at the very least by watching the anime
I love it as well, been playing gbf on and off for so long and also started playing granblue fantasy versus, my first ever fighting game. What cygames is doing is just amazing, they are certainly the japanese blizzard.. I hope they don't end up like them tho.. A lot of people don't know cygames outside the gacha sphere even tho their games are always top of the line.,Rage of Bahamut is amazing, Shadowverse being one of the best card games ever made, Granblue Fanatsy being one of the only gachas that put gameplay first and now Granblue fantasy that is on a similar fotting to Guilty Gear Strive now and now we get Relink which will end up on thr same fotting like Monster Hunter.. And all in their style, they don't just copy.. And they don't stop there, they also publish amazing gachas like princess connect. I really love cygames and it's still one of the only game companies I believe they do it because they like games and gamers, I don't feel like a cashcow. ❤❤
God, if this game is everything it is hyped up to be, this is going to be even more amazing then Genshin Impact. Having to unlock everything through game play instead of micro-transaction would be a breath of fresh air.

I think the reason it has little publicity is because granblue as a whole doesnt have a very huge community or following compared to other games like GG, DBZ, MK, SF plus GB doesn't do a lot of promotion for their games either.
You should NOT FORGET that CyGames doesnt have an all great name in japan because of very scummy business moves they have thrown at players in their gacha game Granblue fantasy. Granblue as a Franchise is really big in Non-American countries and of course Japan. It's like the Dragon Quest games. Sure it's a big series with the DragonBall Artstyle but it's still niche in terms of the wider gaming/anime community.

Same here man. I remember seeing their initial gameplay showing siegfried, percival, vance (?) and I forget the third one. Fighting the ancient dragon at the end. I was so goddamn hyped to have a stylized co-op game. Gods I cant wait to sink so many hours into this game.
Criticism to hub based has dropped when the loading for hub became instant. Seeing this in play makes me excited for hub load speed for the next Monster Hunter AAA title
I also played the demo and the combat reminded me of the Ys games. If you are fan of fast paced action combat on a full fledged complete title i can only recommend at least Ys 8 and 9 and even the older titles.
ys 8 was the one with the island ?? got my save corrupted with the shitty pc port on launch and the awfull translation made me refund it did they fixed it or just ran with it? never touched 9 cause of that it was just terrible so Im curious if something changed

I'm soooo excited for this game. I played the demo for 5 hours, getting hooked on max ranking the Quakadile fight while stubbornly keeping Katalina as my character. I LOVE THIS GAME its amazing, its the perfect mix of final fantasy and monster hunter. This is what I've been waiting on for years. I'm looking forward to new characters and bosses. I hope this game gets the love it deserves because a lot of us have been waiting on something like this Granblue did way better then blue protocol
I've been hype for this game for literal years now. I plan to master all the characters and be well rounded, but I feel that i may main Lancelot, Yodarha, Gran, and Siegfried the most.
It has a total of 5 add-ons. I'm over 100 hours into the game, have beaten all of the content and I haven't bought a single one of those add-ons. 4 out of those 5 are color packs, which only speed up the acquisition of those packs. You get them all by progressing in the post- story mode's battles. You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but "there are too many micro-transactions" is an incredibly weak and unfounded argument against this game 😅

I'm so glad you talked about the difference between Relink and Genshin, your opening statement had me worried that you thought the two were much alike!
I played Genshin close to launch for a bit, I just wanted to nitpick that it also has important party mechanics with elemental interactions, healing, buffing, alternating ability cooldowns etc.
Genshin is also an open-world game that heavily emphasizes exploration and stuff. This isn't. I don't really understand the comparison, other than they're both anime-style.

@@kevadu it's a longshot comparison, but people in the west aren't really used to seeing actual good action rpg games so they naturally compare it to the first even remotely similar thing that comes to mind. Now remember people, i knoe yall kids are used to live service games with years of post launch support, but this is not one of those games, this is a stand alone complete package, do not expect a ton of post launch support, because this is not a live service title, im expecting maybe a year of updates, QoL and a few dlcs, the JRPG community is fine but im expecting the more casual AAA community to cry about a lack of post launch support, and believe me, this game not being a live service title is definitely a good thing, things like live service, microtransactions, cosmetic dlc and battle passes have collectively ruined the AAA industry, thats why we traditional gamers have had to rely on Eastern titles, AA and indie games to get our fix, this game is a breath of fresh air
Hope the game's ending isn't to geared towards multiplayer. I prefer to play solo and generally am unable to play online for multiplayer, plus none of my friends do online either
I've been following this game development since BEFORE Genshin was announced, if i were to pick any of the 2 then this one takes the cake. I'm so excited, i just hope it works well on PC because, it seems every game developer hates PC and their games come with performance issues all over the place.. One can only hope this time, just this time, it's going to play well on PC.
The demo is definitely great! So many different characters. I think I put around 8 hours already into the demo. I've been waiting for Granblue Fantasy Relink for years! I can't wait to play this on January 28th 👊🏿
If you like grandblue relink, you guy should check out Tales of arise, its exactly the same genre, with a story like final fantasy, graphics as pretty & artstyle and pc version with great control & the game run butter smooth.
Why is everyone going "cannot switch characters mid combat omg" just STOP! omg...This game is like an action MMO, think of your characters as classes, because that's what they are, they have skills, roles and mechanics unique to each of them. There is no game in which you can switch classes mid combat, and it further reinforces the fact that it is a class/role you are playing, plus it gets you use to multiplayer. In regards to the game, is a main story scenario, then the duty/trials and the rest in the hub. This is great cause I rather have a hub and wait 1 minute for the start of the instance than be in an open world like FF14 and wait 20-40 minutes for a single instance while mindlessly moving around with no purpose. There will be over +100 instances, and more will be added in updates. We have a total of 20 classes, plus another 2 in April for 22. That's a lot! And each of them with their trees and lv 100. We don't know what the endgame is? Uhh we do? They will be adding extremely hard boss fights and raids. Have you checked the Lucilius boss fight? Fight looks rough, he can one shot you with like 90% of his attacks and aoe's and in the devs words: "Yeah...you are gonna need max level, max gear, a dedicated party and even then some real, REAL effort to take this guy down. Expect to wipe 20-40 times." Brutal. People should approach this as an action-RPG and an action-MMO, only that we don't get the social aspect like an MMO does. We can still chat in the hub and emote, plus communicate in battle and use keyboards with pairing. Nice video, thanks for covering the game!~ Waiting for my Deluxe Edition!
New to your channel, I really like the way you make your videos.. the eye contact, the pace of your speech, the structure of your videos.. dude you are killing it! :)
The delay really did this game a service it looks like. I don't think if they had released on the original given date, it would have nearly as much polish or characters. I love mission based games: Monster Hunter, Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, MGSV, Toukiden, and even Wild Hearts. WH just was way too hard so the Platinum dragged out. In the demo I played Narmaya and I surprisingly picked up on her pretty easily. Now I just need to learn how to weave in the skills.
I've been following this game for what 8 years now since it was announced by Platinum games yeah you could say I've got some time to vested in it and I can't fucking wait
Thank you for that summary brah. That was really in depth. I was lazy to play the game because I actually thought you do have to switch characters like Genshin. I thought I’d have to learn each character to play them all optimally at least. To me that’s actually a positive as I would prefer to have a frontline tank and fight while I bombard enemies from the back line. So that seems quite appealing to me where I can stick to my comfort character and see how the AI play them and then choose if I wish to learn the others.
I knew nothing about this game or the granblue fantasy universe like a week ago and after trying the demo I’m very hyped and it shot up to one of my most anticipated games of the year so far. What’s crazy is I just started playing tales of arise for $20 and then this drops and they’re very similar accept this game is more my style with the multiplayer deep customization aspect. I agree with everything you said in this video!
I was a bit turned off at first with not being able to swap characters mid-battle, but the more I learn about how unique each character is, and how much more unique you can make them with personalized builds, the more I think it's actually a good thing. The game is urging you to stick with one particular character for a while, so you can get used to them, learn them, and start customizing them, allowing you to make a much better informed decision as to whether you really even want to switch to someone else.
First, let me just say that intro to your video is the motivational speech anyone should hear to play this game lol I had the demo downloaded but didn’t rush to play it until after I saw your video. Second, I just finished the tutorial and the combat is so simplified and fun that I can’t believe this game exists. It might be a terrible comparison, but I got the same feeling when I played Ni No Kuni II and how addicting that gameplay was for me, that’s the vibes I’m getting so far. Can’t wait to sink time into the main game!!
Interesting. I liked Ni No Kuni II as well, but the sprite war battles turned me off. I've been familiar with GBF ever since 2017 when I played their mobile game for a few months and I think that I will try this game out over the weekend. Cheers!
15:27 In the original game, there is a system that gives insane buffs to your party (this is how easy mode works in GBF), but with a catch. You can only play solo. Maybe they will use this approach for the Relink end game content for some people who do not want to play multiplayer.
This is my first experience in the franchise. Holy Cow!! I didn't know I needed an action rpg until I started playing this. I went in completely. I knew nothing about it. All the quests are so exciting!!
I'll keep saying this but the fighting game sold me on this game. If you think this was good, the fighting game is pretty feature complete. The first time was bad, the game didn't have the features it needed and it launched at the start of the pandemic. Gran Blue Fighting Versus was the second launch of the game and has single player features such as a quest mode with a BMU aspect and far better online netcode (called rollback netcode) that has become the standard of fighting games. Cy Games really impressed me with the push to make sure all their games succeed including this one.
as OG GBF player, I'm glad they keep the MMO like aspect of skill on every character (even tho MC lose their ability to switch classes), it do feels like you doing raid in MMO
Even if the mc losed the class change, the build variety is so vast, that you'll "discover your own classes" (as said by Sierrokarte VA during the Part 2 showcase).
This game was so damn pretty and epic it gives me hope for the next Big Fantasy RPG coming out. Dragon's Dogma 2, which I already know it gonna be amazing with how great Dark Arisen was years ago! Granblue Fantasy set the bar for RPG games for the beginning of this year in my opinion.
I just got this game as a bday present and I'm a huge fan of Final Fantasy and the Tales of franchise, what I hear is that the game's story is on the shorter side, but everything after the story and the endgame content make up for it, as well as the great combat, bosses, and music 👌
This game has been in development for what feels like forever. I would hope they would be confident with a demo. It was first announced in 2016 meaning it was already in development then.
I am just wondering if co-op be at least like Monster Hunter with a semi open world and we can tackle quests. Not just join, fight a boss monster or a wave.
I knew nothing about this game or even the franchise prior to trying the demo. When I played the story mission I was impressed and had a good time. But then, when I went to the hub for missions, I was giggling with excitement. I haven't been this hyped for a game in a long time.
I remember saying last week, "man I wish Wuthering Waves and all these upcoming gacha RPGs were just... normal full-priced RPGs so I didn't have to feel like scraping by to get my favorite character". And here comes Granblue Fantasy Relink, about to satisfy that niche. I wouldn't mind paying, like, 20$ for a DLC with 5 characters or something. That's way better rates than gachas. I hope this format becomes popular, because altho I love Genshin and HSR and will swipe a little here and there to guarantee my fav characters, adding any more to the tab will become unaffordable for me lol.
Don't forget that Wuthering Waves is designed so that you can play it forever, for years and with regular new content. For the time being it was announced that we would get free updates march (new raid), april (2 characters) and may (secret), and while the devs did say that it will not be a live game with constant updates, as long as the player numbers and the sales are good enough it wouldn’t surprise me if they will build up on that.
@@alexiosblake9804 How can they make this a live service with updates if they have already stated that they will not do this? Are you saying they might be lying?
@@angmar87 Updates and live service are two different things. What I meant was that if everything does well and the sales are high enough there might be a chance for a few more updates but nothing long term.
@@alexiosblake9804 Live Service games are games that have updates that are released regularly, at least once a month. If they are not going to do regular updates, then there is no point in wasting time on this game, because it will end anyway. Im excited to play this with friends but i dont think this will have the longevity of a MHW. Should still be fun for a few months. what else can i ask for.
Mate I have already spent 20hrs with the demo alone. JUST THE DEMO. What more the full game. I really cant wait for release, its been a very very long time coming!
It's indeed been confirmed and shown at least 20 characters in release, and they said there's almost another half not shown for the sake of surprise, so it's safe to asume it's not just 20 characters, but 30+ on release. Also, I'm interested, how would you introduce the mechanic to be able to switch between characters in single player without: 1) Screwing up mid-combo one of the characters, since all of them play around timed attacks and cooldowns. 2) Getting dizzy with the camera moving from side to side of the screen continuously (because changing in the spot and having characters teleported would make the game broken since you can just tank with a tank, switch to someone with a counter, and re-switch with someone else with another counter and just keep rotating to infinite no damaging-loops) 3) Trivializing boss mechanics because you can't do the ranged mechanics or the melee mechanics, such as "i'm gonna switch to the melee character so the IA deals with the mechanics outside of range, and when it's time for the melee mechanics I'll switch to the range so the IA deals with the melee ones". ...etc
Tales of Arise has a similar system with being able to switch between characters mid-combat while keeping their positions. But, they have an additional step where the switch is done through the lock-on system, so the game "pauses" and lets you tab through the characters' positions so you can get a sense of where everyone is before switching and it isn't too disorienting. They also have a system where you can force characters to teleport by using a link(?) attack when they have enough charge built up to maneuver people around the battlefield more quickly.
The only thing I Wish is that they allow to change the lock on button. As a Souls Game player I got very used to use R3 😅 still didn’t take long to get used to the new button mapping.
This is the best game ive played in about a year. I cant stop playing it. I love 3RD PERSON A/A, SOULSLIKE, BULLETFESTS, but Woooooh Buddy!!! This is freaking AMAZING!!! and super fun.
I like the idea of forcing roles during combat. I find that I typically default to 1 or 2 roles for the entire experience, really confining the enjoyment I could get out of a game simply because I'm too lazy to learn the patterns of others. I'm actually really excited to explore roles outside of my smooth brain default mode. I think for the lazy gamers like me, it'll be a lean-forward, elbows on knees moment.
i really liked it at the start but later on when u start hard farming sigils. the inventory system is an absolute nightmare to manage it is wildly bad. also the reason I bought it was because of a recent update with new chars thinking oh cool if im going to see more of this im fine investing into the future of the game only to find out weeks later that the update was actually the final update and will get no more updates ever. also considering how popular the game is its wild how hard it is to find multiplayer games but the mp ui being super clunky does not make doing mp any easier. i regret buying it but i did have alot of fun for like 20 hours leveling up.
I am buying it just to support devs. I love that we have such game with full box price without any F2P BS and stuff which is typical to games with similar visual style.
Unfortunate that this drops around the same time as P3R. Ill be playing this over P3 but a lot of people won't. Hopefully it still pops off regardless because it is super fun.
11:32 that isn’t completely true. Plenty of games have all their characters have different normal attack chains that use multipliers differently or apply statuses differently etc. The demos I’ve seen so far give me Ninokuni dressed as FF/Zelda characters playing monster hunter
The game is great but I have 1 well maybe 2 ish big criticisms. 1. The effects on screen can be a bit much , it's hard to see your character sometimes with everything going on , especially if you choose a small person . I hope its options to tone it down in the official release , I miss dodge's and blocks cus of it sometimes. And 2. During the end of the 1st boss fight sometimes the game would glitch out and slow down until someone leaves the party .

Here's to a healthy game!

that's me, man. It feels like the game was tailor made for me specifically with everything I enjoy in a game all mashed together lol, been counting the days up to its release since I first learned about it 3 months ago
I'll definitely be checking out other gbf content, at the very least by watching the anime
Amen, brother!
God, if this game is everything it is hyped up to be, this is going to be even more amazing then Genshin Impact. Having to unlock everything through game play instead of micro-transaction would be a breath of fresh air.

The only thing that saddens me a bit is how little publicity there is for it. This game could be massive.
Sure it's a big series with the DragonBall Artstyle but it's still niche in terms of the wider gaming/anime community.
i've been waiting for this game for almost 6 yrs since i first saw the gameplay, and now it's finally coming, it's like a fever dream, and i can't wait to play it on Feb 1

I also played the demo and the combat reminded me of the Ys games. If you are fan of fast paced action combat on a full fledged complete title i can only recommend at least Ys 8 and 9 and even the older titles.
Especially since Narmaya and Dana are voiced by the same actor :)
ys 8 was the one with the island ?? got my save corrupted with the shitty pc port on launch and the awfull translation made me refund it did they fixed it or just ran with it?

@@Sm0ke821 that's insane value :D definitely go for it man, could be a good prep for Granblue as well as the action combat in Ys 8 is hella fun and somewhat similar (4 abilities per character, dodges, parries, breaks, etc.). Yup. It remind me of white knight. Look like this game will replace that game for me till dragon dogma 2
I'm soooo excited for this game. I played the demo for 5 hours, getting hooked on max ranking the Quakadile fight while stubbornly keeping Katalina as my character.
You mentioned going back to Baldur's Gate. Have you taken a look at Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown? You strike me as someone who would enjoy a good action-based metroidvania. It's really, REALLY good
I LOVE THIS GAME its amazing, its the perfect mix of final fantasy and monster hunter. This is what I've been waiting on for years. I'm a ffxiv main and having my custom character is a big deal but for Granblue... its my Genshin, a universe of cool characters to dive into plus after playing granblue versus I already have characters I'm vibin with and to use them in relink feels awesome.

Yep looks great, was considering buying, then saw more purchasable DLC than the SIMS on their games, put me right off
It has a total of 5 add-ons.
@@DillaryHuff True for this recent game, Gran blue fantasy versus (when I searched on steam stor efor this) has 53 DLC,s .... 53... so altho I was mistaken and they werent for this particular game, I can see where this is going but I appreciate you making me check
@@nolongermatters4671 Ah. I'm not familiar with their other games, but I read that they're big on mobile, so it would make sense that they're familiar with adding micro-transactions. That doesn't seem to be in issue in this game, though.
None of their 5 DLCs are worth buying if you intend to to play the game beyond the 10-20 hour story, which is arguably less than half of the game.
I expected it to be sort of a tales of arise like. Not a monster hunter game that stripped down the things I didn't enjoy in MH and double down on what I actually enjoyed about it, great game that now I'm looking forward to.
I'm so glad you talked about the difference between Relink and Genshin, your opening statement had me worried that you thought the two were much alike!
well yeah... the games aren't anything like one another.
Yet for some reason I can't understand people keep comparing the 2... as if they're anything alike @lenajohnson6179

@@Goujiki Hmm... do you think Granblue can become the first live service game, but without gacha elements and without timegates like energy and stamina?
This would be great, besides the DLC with a price of 10 bucks per character is much cheaper than the 150 bucks per character price tag in Genshin.
@@kevadu it's a longshot comparison, but people in the west aren't really used to seeing actual good action rpg games so they naturally compare it to the first even remotely similar thing that comes to mind. Others are comparing it to Monster Hunter, which is probably a bit closer to what we have here, but still different enough for the comparison to seem silly
If you like grandblue relink, you guy should check out Tales of arise, its exactly the same genre, with a story like final fantasy, graphics as pretty & artstyle and pc version with great control & the game run butter smooth.
Personally I like Berseria and Vesperia better, Alphen just wasn't as strong of a protag.
We will see what the pc launch looks like. No demo makes me wonder if it's going to be optimized poorly. Fingers crossed cause I want this one
Why does the background music sound like…. BG3? Are you subconsciously trying to make me play BG3 again? Because, I am still playing!
Sucks that you can't change characters in mid battle like on arise
The UI reminds me of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Does that mean it's a similar system?
That demon was a big W. It left me wanting more honestly
This video has made me even more excited for Relink. Thank you so much!
Thanks for your uploads. You really do your community a service. Even if it's something peripheral to your interest.
My pleasure!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Interesting. I liked Ni No Kuni II as well, but the sprite war battles turned me off. I've been familiar with GBF ever since 2017 when I played their mobile game for a few months and I think that I will try this game out over the weekend. Cheers!
just found your channel, thanks for your videos mate. i never heard of this grandblue game but i will try it.
15:27 In the original game, there is a system that gives insane buffs to your party (this is how easy mode works in GBF), but with a catch. You can only play solo. Maybe they will use this approach for the Relink end game content for some people who do not want to play multiplayer.
Full character costumization might be a bit hyperbolic. Unless i have missed something.
This is my first experience in the franchise. Holy Cow!! I didn't know I needed an action rpg until I started playing this. I went in completely. I knew nothing about it. All the quests are so exciting!!
Can’t wait! When does this come out?

If they add classes to gran, I'll go with KENGOOO ALL THE WAYYY LOL

This game was so damn pretty and epic it gives me hope for the next Big Fantasy RPG coming out. Dragon's Dogma 2, which I already know it gonna be amazing with how great Dark Arisen was years ago! Granblue Fantasy set the bar for RPG games for the beginning of this year in my opinion.
I just got this game as a bday present and I'm a huge fan of Final Fantasy and the Tales of franchise, what I hear is that the game's story is on the shorter side, but everything after the story and the endgame content make up for it, as well as the great combat, bosses, and music 👌
It's very telling when I see most people on my PSN friend list putting in 30+Hrs on the demo - myself included. That's bonkers to me. 😂

I just finished listening to the video. When can I open my eyes?
Might as well just go to bed now.

I've been excited for this game for a while now. Were there any options to customize AI for your party?
Two of my favorite games kinda almost switched genres. Yakuza and Grand blue.
Happy to report the full game is an absolute dream with more free content on the way!
Can someone rank me the dragon knights based of strength in lore? Would love to know🤔
it really looks like monster hunter, but will there be online matchmaking to take on missions together or are you limited to people you know?
There's matchmaking and also invite-only.
It's indeed been confirmed and shown at least 20 characters in release, and they said there's almost another half not shown for the sake of surprise, so it's safe to asume it's not just 20 characters, but 30+ on release.
Also, I'm interested, how would you introduce the mechanic to be able to switch between characters in single player without:
1) Screwing up mid-combo one of the characters, since all of them play around timed attacks and cooldowns.
2) Getting dizzy with the camera moving from side to side of the screen continuously (because changing in the spot and having characters teleported would make the game broken since you can just tank with a tank, switch to someone with a counter, and re-switch with someone else with another counter and just keep rotating to infinite no damaging-loops)
3) Trivializing boss mechanics because you can't do the ranged mechanics or the melee mechanics, such as "i'm gonna switch to the melee character so the IA deals with the mechanics outside of range, and when it's time for the melee mechanics I'll switch to the range so the IA deals with the melee ones".
...etc
Where did you see that there are characters that haven’t been revealed yet? I’ve not seen anything about that.
This is freaking AMAZING!!! and super fun.

good video mate, spread the word
I like the idea of forcing roles during combat. I find that I typically default to 1 or 2 roles for the entire experience, really confining the enjoyment I could get out of a game simply because I'm too lazy to learn the patterns of others. I'm actually really excited to explore roles outside of my smooth brain default mode. I think for the lazy gamers like me, it'll be a lean-forward, elbows on knees moment.
I was super distracted by the shirt, spiritbox is dope as hell dude! Great video as always friend.

I just got Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising and started the anime. Once I get through those I'll get Relink.
i really liked it at the start but later on when u start hard farming sigils. the inventory system is an absolute nightmare to manage it is wildly bad. also the reason I bought it was because of a recent update with new chars thinking oh cool if im going to see more of this im fine investing into the future of the game only to find out weeks later that the update was actually the final update and will get no more updates ever. also considering how popular the game is its wild how hard it is to find multiplayer games but the mp ui being super clunky does not make doing mp any easier.
i regret buying it but i did have alot of fun for like 20 hours leveling up.
i wish they would make a full jrpg online coop game. Eternal sonata was a blast but it is only local coop
i think this will be a good game to introduce ppl to the jrpg genre

11:32 that isn’t completely true. Plenty of games have all their characters have different normal attack chains that use multipliers differently or apply statuses differently etc. The demos I’ve seen so far give me Ninokuni dressed as FF/Zelda characters playing monster hunter
Hi guys is standard edition (steam) bought comes with additional character together too? Seofon and Tweyen i mean
I'd even say that description in the intro does a disservice to how great the game is
The game is great but I have 1 well maybe 2 ish big criticisms.
1. The effects on screen can be a bit much , it's hard to see your character sometimes with everything going on , especially if you choose a small person .
I hope its options to tone it down in the official release , I miss dodge's and blocks cus of it sometimes.
And
2. During the end of the 1st boss fight sometimes the game would glitch out and slow down until someone leaves the party .
L2 for lock-on is kinda weird tho
I know it’s not a live service game but would be nice to see them add more characters and bosses down the road
I actually really liked it cause it's kinda like genshin but I won't have to dish out a fuck ton of money to play and enjoy
