(IMPORTANT EDIT: I know that Garou was created to be a no range high damage character but he barely does that high damage in so many instances due to his combos being ridiculously prestigious and difficult to land. So either give him buffing listed below or they buff the damage of the base move set and for the ult replace water stream rock smashing fist with a hunters grasp variant (like og ult) and buff his 4th move so he can actually catch up to people.)
Garou has the worst over all ultimate which is why it’s easy to fight with any character without ultimate. All you need to do too 90% of the time to guarantee a win against garou ult is baiting out final hunt. But from that point it’s more skill than anything. So if you’re bad at game good luck. Also if you miss final hunt (which any good player will try to will trick you into using it early) you’re cooked. Unless your opponent sucks. Also x2 garou has gotten a few buffs to make it so once garou gets you with his 4th move and he has final hunt you’re done for so that’s cool. If you’re good enough sometimes you’ll be able to land his 4th move and from there can pretty easily win but depending on your opponent you may not. To make garou better they need to do a missed variant of hunters grasp which has him grab one of the small rocks mid air and throw it wherever you’re aiming and I guess maybe the same for final hunt where he can kick a giant boulder like metal bats 4th move missed variant which would then fix his no ranged move issue and make him 10x better.
Those who miss final hunt have major skill issue

Honestly any good garou users punish baiters by using 4-1-3, which gives the baiter a very hard decision, waste evasive and dodge the damage and risk getting hit by 4-2 or get extremely low because of 4-1-3
Not really, its easy to dodge the ultimate.
Also you can counter the 1st and 4th move. (Final hunt is crazy tho)
It's pretty OP with Xbox players since they have aimbot.

at savage tornado you can also do another neat little thing, its either if you have atomic or brutal demon. when they use it, and get close to you either jump and pinpoint cut or grand slam. Sometimes it works.

Also tip for countering crushed rock, so basically you need to side dash away so it’ll take longer for them to reach you. If you have backwards dash available use it when they use because back dash has 3 seconds of infinity. Making them waste it.

just saying, when you used sonic ult, i loved how you played inking mistake in the backround. not only because i love undertale lol, i just think it suited the type of character
for twinblade rush and straight on, atomic quick slice and sonic scatter can often quite easily grab them out of these moves unless the sonic is aware of them but even if he predicts the quick slice its hard for him to avoid it and still hit you because he will run out of time

Another tip for atoms cleave, you are able to punish it by doing yout evasive in a curve and m1 as fast as you can.
hello!! i really liked this video, it does a great job at being informative and teaching people a few things about the game but there are a few errors or things i would personally add an asterisk to, and i would like to make a little list of the things i noticed/would make a comment on.
1. for garou's ult, yes, the consensus is to not engage at all, but ive found lots of success in staying within range of just barely the tip of the fourth move, as if you side dash right away and then forward dash to punish, you can combo the garou if they have wasted final hunt and youre willing to take the risk. though, as previously stated this is a very risky move and i would only suggest doing this if youre confident and dont have more than ~110-120 ms
2. this is numero dos because i thought of it after my first thoughts, but its on saitama's ultimate. and this only works if the saitama is semi-seasoned and knows not to immediately waste death counter. if the saitama is full hp or almost full, try to tag them with an m1 to see for when they regen or not, and otherwise, just keep your distance play super passive. most saitama players will get impatient and start trying to forward dash or m1 combo you. in this instance, make sure that they havent used death counter and use this oppurtunity to start a combo of your own and pressure them into wasting death counter.
3. on the genos ultimate, as crazy as this sounds, but something you want to do is to stay close distance to the genos, as it is easier for the genos to whiff moves, and if youre ever at distance from a genos ult its best to try and avoid the 30% from incinerate all together rather than eating it. another thing on incinerate, is that punishing the endlag with m1's isn't consistent at all, just stay within side dash distance of the genos and then side dash m1 as soon as the incinerate ends. it may take a few tries getting used to the timing, but its a free combo starter on any genos ult.
4. on sonic, scatter has VERY high endlag, and most people dont realize that. so if you're ever within forward dash or close distance of a sonic's scatter when it ends, make sure to get use to aim predicting and reacting quickly to punish. for sonic's ultimate, i suggest keeping as much distance as possible, as it does in face make the ultimate much easier to counter. when it comes to the first move, you can actually use backdash to get a few s against it, and most sonics wont be able to easily track you down after whiffing the move unless theyre seasoned, so you can use a side dash to further get away from the move. and for the fourth move, just try your best to dodge it like an incinerate, it, or pray. imo its the only move that needs a big nerf or change.
5. for metal bat, with the grand slam alternate, try to not use your evasive right away, as if you have any amount of slightly high ping and the metal bat uses grand slam right away, itll instead force you to be ragdolled and waste your evasive, so the metal bat gets a free win. on top of that, much like sonic's first ult move, instead of trying to side dash metal bat's fourth base move, backdash it and then side dash for punish. for metal bat's ultimate, fight it complete opposite of garou's ultimate but only if youre confident. if you pressure the metal bat during their ultimate really hard, it often pressures them into wasting death blow or you can try to predict when they'll bait you into death blow. not to mention, staying on the metal bat's a** makes hitting 3 MUCH harder.
6. for atomic samurai, the base moveset explanation was done really well, and i have no comments on it. but as for the ultimate explanation, you can in fact back dash the second move, much like the other moves previously explained. backdash has s to some specific moves, and atomic's ultimate 2 is one of them. for the third ultimate move, this isn't very well known at all, but you can actually use a counter against it. and finally, for the fourth ultimate move, you can forward dash right away as soon as the move ends to punish the atomic and get a free combo off.
i dont normally like asking for pins, but i feel like if you pin this it could really help spread the information. thank you to all those who took the time to read this, and i hope this new information bids you very well!
Fun fact: final hunt is not affected by counter moves

Here's a tip for countering atomic slash when you get caught in atomic slash while in downslam or mini uppercut it actually gives you a second to do something so I would consider using ult or as the video says use a move with i-Frames
I will say, for sonics first two moves, twinblade rush and straight on, there are ways to counter/cancel it, if someone is using twinblade rush, you can use a move like jet dive or ignition burst (or really just any move that brings you in the air) to go in the air and dodge it, or you could use scatter or blitz(or something that has long range so sonic would be good for that) shot to cancel it, with straight on your best bet is to blitz shot or scatter (OR ANY MOVE THAT HAS LONG RANGE)if you try and go in the air and dodge it, it is hard to dodge it as it lasts a long time and can come right back
this video taught me something very useful..
For Twinblade Rush, I recommend just trying to keep your distance as most Sonic users use the move blindly when they believe they can land it
Fun fact, u can block the genos thuner kick when it is un-variant, then second part (when it targets and slams)

Back-dashing/Backhandspring out of foul ball at 9:38 since it will give i-frames to avoid being hit. Normally backdashign behind them to punish can also be good, just keep track of how you evade their attacks.
8:20 you can't block or counter the attack, then after it's used and he kicks your character what you CAN do is side dash back and combo them or If you have an ult use upt moves on sonic, well that's my way of dealing with twinblade rush.
Btw, u can machinegyn blows and before ur opponent gets ragdolled. Turn back and sometimes, its unpredictable since people are used to the normal machinegun Blows. and it can be a combo extender.
8:16 if you have a fast reaction speed or if your opponent is a bot far i recommend using quick slice or moves that have fast start ups and big aoe
Hey, if you ever decide to make this video again I've got another tip for fourfold flashstrike. block the initial hit and it will do nearly no damage, only the aftermath hit will do dmg.
1:47 I once survived wall tableflip. He was way too close to wall so I walked behind him. Then continued the fight
if a garou uses crushed rock its really easy listen for the audio cue and pay attention so you can side dash out of the way and use the end lag to free combo
Tip for crush rock Run and try to bait them in to using it anf Run and after the end animation you can M1 them ( CR doesnt have s at the end of the attack)
For ignition burst you can black it to negate most of the damage. but if they use the tech where they turn around fast to get u hit then its essentially inescapable

Uhh as an experienced player I'd say the twin blade rush can be ESCAPED so it's either just use metal bat or atomic samurai just jump with atomic samurai's variant or use skill 3 on metal bat trust me this works i just did it earlier in duels

For the first sonic ult move i recommend keeping your distance and not using your dash or back dash and when you see the move come out use dash and then backdash
Btw you can use speedblitz drop kick metal bat with death blow on just like final hunt but also final hunt can hit the atomic slash when the animation is happening

Fact: for grandslam if your genos get hit, use evasive in the air and free unpunished blitz shot(idk if scatter, quick slice and normal punch will hit) but your fighting a metalbat so doesn't matter
By the way, if you time it right, you can "Death Blow" (metal bat ult) a kick (even if they miss) from ulted genos
Tip for countering sunset: If your using saitama or any character that has a move like normal punch use it or hit their back its risky but it can be good.
extra tip for scatter: if you are genos just evasive it damages them and it's a combo starter.
Btw fun fact when you get hit by table flip if you have ult you can spam it, when you use ult you take 0 damage unless your using saitama(it give an advantage since they wasted they ult and you now pop ult)
if they don’t know how to stop the straight on at the right time and they keep running around you waiting for the slash, just m1 catch, it works
For metal bat, with VERY good timing, you can counter grand slam by m1ing before they reach you but its super hard to do
For sonic ult twinblade rush you can use your evasive right as they kick you and they will be stunned and you can m1 punish them
U can counter ignition burst by punching them quickly when they have dashed with the move, if the ignition dash is close enough for any of ur moves range u can punish it by cancelling the whole burst part

To counter ignition burst, if they are close enough, you can stop the blast with an M1. Not many ppl know this
The way to counter ignition burst is to use the little i-frames u have during evasive to dodge the dmg and try to hit the Genos at the same time if in range

fun fact: if a shuriken is coming your way and you dont wanna take damage but you dont have a counter move, back dashing right before it hits you gives you enough s to nullify the attack

useful tip: u can jump over savage tornado with grand slam or jet dive
Another thing for straight on is that if you have extremely good timing you can try time ur m1 to cancel the move for a free combo
I have an idea for hunters grasp and shove, you can easily block if they front dash and if they do a side dash you gotta predict that and rock spitting fist or what ever it was called and side dash for crushed rock, it’s much slower then a forward dash
For foul ball it is possible to hi it before it hits you. Very risky but an easy combo starter when you see them use it try hit as fast as you can. It might work
The calimity music goes hard
You can actually try to counter twinblade rush by just predicting and using Atomic Samurai's Quick Slash or Sonic's Scatter. If you want to counter Straight On, just do the same thing (normal punch can cancel straight on)
Final Hunt can hit Twinblade Rush AND Straight On you have the predictions of a god and good reaction time. Hitting it would most-likely change the whole battle in a life or death situation.
Me who knows how to counter every skill:
Tip to counter sonic, you can completely stop shurikin dmg by back dashing even if its a direct hit, might work for genos blitz shot too but not sure
If you back dash when the opponent is doing twin blade rush in the right time there is a chance of evading it, though it depends on skill including the opponents.
In my opinion, if Sonic uses Twinblade rush at a *somewhat* distant range, you might still be able to react and use the spinning back dash trick and escape it, I usually do that (Because Back Dash has E Frame)
If you have good vision, Straight one is very easy to punish, I often punish people who are using straight on, Usually a few seconds after the startup .
The fourfold strike you can run away backwards instead of left cuz of range and you also don’t waste a dash when they miss
If someone grandslams at you from a far, you can use concecutive punches and it'll catch right before they hit the ground
For the twin blade rush u can use a big aoe move like normal punch or atomix samurai first move but its difficult to land
Tip to un-counterplay flowing water: waste their evasive, they do lethal whirlwind stream and time flowing water just right to hit them in the air. Hope it helps, I'm not that good at the game 😅
Awakened garou is easy to fight, bait 4 and dodge, back up, their only choice is to front dash to get you so their almost 100% going to do that so just block it, then combo them and repeat, if they catch you off guard you are dead so just be careful.
for twinblade rush jsut evasive when the move ends directly to them and u can combo them
if I see an awakened metal bat user or garou user, I’m sorry but, SOMETHING INSIDE ME, JUST SNAPPED.
Tip: for crushed rock just do a back dash cause if your doing a back dash while they use crush rock it won’t damage you

3:35 most players use crushed rock then water stream rock, so you can just dodge the crushed rock and punish, + water stream rock is counter able + if you don't hit anyone you don't get I frames so you can easily die while while using it the only real attack (for me) that is hard to counter for me is final hunt for its quick attack, and how easy it is to hit when you get hit with flowing water (just side dash and use it) 7:05 for incinerate if you have a fast moving move or just a one that flings you up you can use it to dodge ( quick slice + Atomos cleave, jet dive, flash strike, whirlwind kick, scatter, pin point cut aerial variation, etc. (I'm lazy to remember more)) 7:52 scatter is very hard to counter as good ninja players (or just good players overall) can just circle around you and then when you get launched further do any attack, for me the best is whirlwind kick as its easily able to combo using the aerial shuriken variation. 9:47 (im tired) hehehehehe aerial attacks go brrrr ( best for this is genos or atomic samurai if your him)
Pro tip for Death Counter, you can bypass it with collateral damage, especially with Garou you can use 2 and 3 to hit someone else, then throw/drag the person you grabbed at the Saitama
Make sure to be careful near the Saitama because the first hits of 2/3 can be hit by death counter
Also Machine Gun Blows finisher will trigger anyway even if they block it (assuming their hp is low enough)
the best way to beat awk garou is run until their Crushed rock is out of range then wait until they front dash or crushed rock into u, since ur out of range they wont hit but both front dash and crushed rock has endlag so then u can combo them
Every video or short I see telling me how to counterplay a move is not very good. This video however has very good tips that I agree with. For incinerate if your slightly far away from the player that's using the move, you can move in one direction then quickly side dash to the other because they think that you'll try to side dash away from where they're first aiming, as I see every "pro" do that. Nice editing
The counterplay to twinblade rush is to gett as far away from them, as they use this move off rip on ult, wait for them to do it, (or predict when they will) and then use normal punch, you can use shuriken, or blitz but I dont recommend it since they are way too slow, other than that, if you are good enough at dashing, dash inside to the right or the left of their move, and since its incredibly hard to turn it, you should be good (Not really lmao its hitbox is freaking massive), In theory you could use genos move 2 or move 4, or even sonics move 1 or move 3, or possibly even atomic move 1, but that probably wont work because twin is so damn fast. hope this helps
Also the fact that you can cancel gandslam with ANY ragdoll. Simply hit them before the make contact with the ground. I swiped on with explosive shuriken.

One more thing bout metal bat strength difference is that you can BLOCK it,and it does 20%less dmg(45%)which is good,but only as a last resort if you have no other choice

by the way heres a tip for countering genos: when they use ignition burst and they're really close to you when they stop you can hit them actually
one thing for machine gun blows is, if you are below the health the moves does (aka finisher) EVEN IF YOU BLOCK you will be blown up which is unblockable. You cant even punish it.
Fun fact: your able to m1 ground slam if you got right timing or they used four ball on u and use ground slam just m1 you will able to hit it unless they got ping or you (not recommend to laggy user)
The best thing u can u do when some gonna use twinblade rush use any move that lets u go in the air for like3sec best is genos or just block yes u can block it to reduce the dmg done to u
For crushed rock, just watch the player and when they play the animation side dash and forward dash them back
