i do not mean bragging OR ANYTHING ELSE! im here to help some people that needs tips , btw thank you eren for this good vid , im a " bait " player but in a bit diffrent way , i mostly keep playing defensive to make the opponent FORCED to use their best combo , when i know what style and combo they use , i know when to , ragdoll cancel or use the chance to attack , mostly use saitama for this , bait people into wasting their ragdoll cancel with shove slam trick ( 3 M1s + shove + M1 after shove directly ) bc shove is a fast cooldown move it's fine using it for this , after they wasting the evasive , time to play aggressive

I think I’m a mixture of aggressive, defensive and bait. I have a lot of experience with fighting games (about 6 years) and adapted to movement, blocking isn’t what I’m use to since most games have an easy block break but I’ve gotten use to the TSB block. If your going up an aggressive player. Go defensive and wait until they dash, you can use counter or just block their dash and get attem, if your facing a defensive, try to wait them out or maybe use a bypassing skill. There’s many types of movements and skills that you can use to beat an opponent. This is just my opinion and there’s many others but this is what I use in my mind when playing.

Garou is used for: evasion offense
Saiatama is used for: good combos,aggresiveness,patience
Genos is used for: bait&punish,predicting your opponents,and wasting their blocks using blitz shot upclose for combo.
Sonic is used for: evading ult moves(ex,mt ults),better comboing on ult,team combo extends,and running
Metal bat is used for: aggresiveness,rushing your opponents for better hp damage,and running
There's another fighting style that I would suggest, and its the people who adapt to their opponent. Usually, in ranked they will play on the more defensive side, still learning their opponents play style. Usually, after they die one time, they are adapted fully and are able to play more aggressive and counter their opponent more often. This works with basically any character, but mainly ones with counters, like atomic samurai and garou.

I'm proud at myself for being a mixture of aggressive and defensive. I block, alot, but not like too much. One of my super famous defensive tricks, which my tryhard friend fell for, is kind of a bait. I pretend to do the 4m1 downslam when a player is on the ground, and right as I perform my 3rd m1 I use prey's peril because they wake up when the 3rd m1 is performed. Trying to counter my 4m1 downslam, they attack, and fall for the prey's peril. This doesn't normally work with runners and spammers because they just backdash out and run another marathon but ig it works alot. I also have a pretty good garou combo that gets their health to red and some players even ask me to train them even tho I'm not good at side dashing myself lol

I'm a mix of aggressive, defensive, I'm also a bit of a turtle and punisher, I play with all the characters using these 4 fighting styles, and it works very well, I went from 4k total kills to 17k total kills doing this, and I also have a good advantage in combat: aim lock. (I play on Xbox)

HawkEye: These players usually waits and backs away to the enemy until the enemy uses a move or use their side dash and then the user will strike behind them to counter them
Statue: these players are similar to turtles but they often stay in their positions and waits for the enemy to strike and block their attacks so that they can counter them. they're just chilling while you absolutely get cooked
Untouchable: These players are similar to runners but they uses Genos/Sonic and use their moves to knockback the enemy away from them it's like they're playing far range play style and they still attack you tho.
The Serious: These mfers will not go away even if you have ultimate activated they will fucking strike you down and will do anything no matter what just for you to die and they're similar to Aggressives but more suicidal

My playstyle is the Adaptive playstyle. I essentially understand every playstyle, and whenever I get attacked by a certain playstyle, I change mine accordingly through muscle memory and previous experience.

You forgot the adaptive player, they just are waiting for an attack and let the fight go on until they know if they like to side dash a lot, forward dash, and other key factors which you recognize the timing and movement to easily counter.

Initiator Fighting Style, basically a more refined and more respectable way of playing like a Zoner.
The key is spacing away from your opponent and knowing when to go in and go out.

There is also a long range offensive suitable for genos and sonic mostly used by noobs, amateurs and trollers (since they only have long range but metal bat is best for agressiveness) the long range offensive player stays in one place far from you and they will always use blitz shot or exploding shuriken but if you get to them they will always find a way to go far away from you ex: he will always block when you dash into him and he will use machine gun blows/flash strike and some combos, but whenever you go mid range he will use ignition burst/scatter same with jet dive/flash strike but jet dive is mostly used for close to close encounters and will always keep you from entering close to close range combat the sonic users mostly use their utility to run away from you and always uses exploding shuriken to counter you from getting close to him basically a fusion of bait,runner and spammer. How to counter it: just have an ability that is long range too or a movement ability ex: grandslam, foul ball, jet dive, scatter, blitz shot, exploding shuriken, beatdown, flash strike and whirlwind kick
There is also a trickster (isn't the same with bait and punish) the trickster pairs with genos saitama and garou they are mostly used by amateurs and advanced players, they mostly use blocks waiting for you to dash but if you successfully sidedash they will always know your strat and how to counter it basically a fighting style to waste your skills ex: your unleashing a combo and you think you got it then you spam flowing water and jump you just wasted a skill, they will always rely on evasive dashes and side dashes at the first round they play defensive at the second round they trick you cause they have analyzed your combo your movement and your fighting style they have known how to counter it and they will always unleash a killer move when you made a mistake. How to counter it: play diffrent fighting style/never let them know your next move ex: switch combos switch aggressiveness and don't get repetitive
There is also some that is annoying aka Ult users they pair with sonic and saitama mostly used by trollers,advanced or noobs🥶 they will always do anything to get ult Ex: steal killing,throwing trash cans and most of all Spamming💀 and whenever they want to 1v1 they got their ult ready also when you use ult they will always use omni or just run away using second skill of sonic with ult💀💀
How to counter: have ult ready when sonic and don't have ult when saitama but when they use ult first ex: table flipping serious punch and death counter use ult now🥶
There are also some called
KILL STEALER or KS(mostly reffered to an ML term) they are pairable with everyone but the ones who use it are noobs and people wanting emotes or people wanting kills🥶🥶🥶,
They mostly use ults and trash cans🥶 ult ex: carnage,table flip,serious punch,incinerate,garou awakening intro(gives a smash to a ground),flamewave cannon,thunder kick aoe and speedblitz drop kick😭😭😭
How to counter: 1v1 someone far away from mid if someone watching you they sus if they pick up a trash can theu really sus.
You all know that one friend that just rushes people? Well you got the name they are called "Rushers" obviously, they are pairable with metal bat,sonic and garou, they are mostly bored players,people with low attention span or people that wants to fight a worthy opponent they always dash at people and after that they use prey's peril or they block beware of those players cause they are a mix of aggressiveness,defense and bait they love dashing into people and after that they block or they use prey's peril after that they unleash killer combos if you make a mistake
Mostly rushers is the one friend in duels just going to fight a 2v1 when your afk instead of waiting for you at spawn, rushers are good at killing teamers since they rush one person then get the other one or sometimes he rushes a gang alone but to this he gets an opportunity of his enemies using a skill affecting other gang members gaining him a free kill or he can just use ult to get more free kills he is a man of courage and balls of fucking steel so beware of this guy

there is a good bait for saitama. When fighting garou players, after you do consecutive punches, there will be a small period of time when they can use preys peril, this can counter Uppercut, Shove, and Normal punch. but if you dont do any move after consecutive punches, you can bait them into using preys peril. i use this tip alot cuz its very useful, but anyways. after you bait them into using preys peril, you can start your combo again
Good players know how to switch between all of them also its rlly fun to ragdoll cancel and use preys peril if u know the enemy is gonna attack
The best thing you should really try to get a grasp around is adaptability. It would help you fight against players if you can learn how they play.
Depends on the character, for Saitama I use aggressive due to his overpowered combos. For garou I use a defensive and bait style. For genos its alot of calculated aim for spam, so I'd say calculated spam. For sonic its based on movement, so defensive. I dont use metal bat very much but, metal bat has slow m1s and I cant master him for the life of me. Atomic samurai is really defensive since he has 2 moves.
I would say Genos is also great for being aggresive due to fast and catching moves , its combos are escapable but if your skilled , Genos is a good Alternative for being aggressive

But i wanna add something. There is a second reason of why you should choose the first option. Because if you ever choose the 2nd opion and If the runner use sonic; the user might turn around and scatter. Which means you will get comboed back
Another way to counder a runner is by running from them and make them get close to you, not two close but close enough to dash to them or something to hit them and if they don’t follow you then jump catch them off gourd, that’s what I do most of the time. Or I just switch to sonic and chase them down ez as that 👍🏽
As someone who’s never played this game but has played other fighting games, this video is very funny because most of your advice is “if they are defensive then attack them well to not get punished” which is just, obvious.

I got own style “freedom” to use it u must turn back from enemy and just spin around them in a forward dash distance (its passive form of style) its mostly like bait or punishing style but never let them get a side dash distantion just wait for them to forward dash next form is aggressive its the same just spunning around the enemy but in a side dash distantion, this form is really hard to learn but worth it. So, u just spinning around them without turning back and if u wanna u can side dash behind them in any time, or if u feel like they would do it u just pre block the zone that u think they would sidedash (this form is good, but only if u adapted to their playstyle and good at preblocking) works for me like most of time, when i was 5k i killed most of 20k+ with this style but in additional, when u spinning around them, u can spam jump side to side which makes them pass out
This style CANNOT be punished in passive form but, if they dash towards you to less the distantion u just dash from them to the same distantion, remember its not a 1v1 if both plays passive, so dont forget to use aggressive form too
I'm actually adapted a style not listed that I use with atomic samurai. Where I don't really focus on combos too much, instead using my moves as tools in neutral to wear down my opponent, and occasionally doing a mini combo. Works surprisingly well because most people just don't expect it, they expect me to conserve my cool downs for rhe big combos. I don't spam, I use them when there's an opening where I know it will hit. This play style is pretty similar to a zoner play style honestly, focusing on slowly wearing down your opponent, I'd call it the chipper play style.
You cant combo with atomic that's why i consider it inferior to garou although your playstyle is best for it

Honestly, since I'm not usually the most "competitive" person on these types of games, I try not to get into fights. You could call me a Runner, but truth be told, I think I'm a mostly bait style.
I use mixes of aggression and defensive, but I haven't really mastered the baiting part yet.
Nonetheless, I don't usually go in fights, so I barely practice alot.
I might practice a bit more, once I get back onto roblox.
I'm a spammer but I only started playing the game today so I just took a random c and went with the flow. Now I can actually try to win by changing styles
Here is a my personal favourite style:
The G҉l҉i҉t҉c҉h҉e҉r.
Glitcher style is mostly running and defensive combined with a few glitches. In my opinion it goes best with the Genos (Menacing cyborg) or Sonic (deadly ninja). I recommend using those two because of their ability to fly (kind of). Here is how to play this style and how to counter it:
To play this style just fight enemies like you normally would. But then, when you are low, or when enemy gets too cocky... Start using unfair techniques to your advantage. For example the *tab glitch!* As Genos jump, press 2 and aim upwards. You will fly up. Then just do the tab glitch to float in air. Its hard to counter but here are some ways:
1. Use characters with either big AOE attacks (for example Sonic 3 or Atomic Samurais 2). Although tab glitch helps you stay in air... Moves will still drag you around. Use it to get enemy back down and punish them.
2. Use Metal Bat. His 3 can hit enemies in air. If your opponent is very low on hp and does that to survive, use 3 to do the Finisher.
3. Use help from other players. For example you can ask a player using Atomic samurai to help get the enemy down by using their 2. Or you can for example use a player as a stepping stone. Jump on their head and then get the enemy.
3. Use Genos 3. It will not only hit the enemy, but if you charge it, it can even potentially kill them!
4. Do not let them get in air at all. Try to cancel all their moves that can potentially help them get up.
Also another cool style is the ULTer. Ulters usually try to get their ULT as fast as possible. Even if it means hitting innocent bystanders. Usually its Genos players or Sonic players. Sometimes Metal bat can work too thanks to its 3 but it doesn't really matter. They will just search for people that are low hp and finish them, gaining ult. Then they will use it as soon as they have it. To counter them try not to let them run away. Use dash moves (Sonic 3 or 1 for example) or use projectiles. Also try to isolate them. Get them into a corner of the map so that there are no players around.

I am typically a defensive bait player and my main is Saitama but everyone once in a while I will switch to Garou to play aggressive. I have 2 combos for Saitama, one is a one shot that my friend taught me, and the other is a true combo but I am still getting used to the combo. I have 1 combo on Garou and it is a one shot but once again, I'm still getting used to this combo.
Sometimes it's hard to quit a playstyle you know is toxic/annoying, but you just can't since your sneaky little brain always somehow makes you press F to block even when you don't realize it. I used to play a different combat game, and only eventually did I realize by many people calling me out on the constant spam block. To this day, I still try not to, but I can safely say I definitely have started to spam block less. I also notice that it helped me improve at the game, so that's cool.
my playstyle is mostly simple and patient
i used to be aggressive and rush in, but switched to a patient 'imma wait till they do something' type of play

i'm a passive/bait/agressive, depending on my mood. if i wanna chill with others and just have fun, i'll go with passive (dont attack people unless attacked). if i wanna do a bit of trolling and tomfoolery, i go with bait (my bait style is to pop ult, and then just chill until someone attacks me, then i use death counter). and if i had a bad day, i go aggressive (and i often die when i do that XD)
Running really saved me in 2v1 duels because im able to pick 2 oponent unpredictably gainning enough ult to do some pay back pounding
Fun fact you can get hit with ult openings when using saitamas ult opening (leads to some confusioned players when tou death counter)
I think I’m a mix of adapting + spamming ( only when I am forced by my friends to use sonic or genos ) + a bit of turtle

i usually learn the easy combos, because i have issues with memorizing certain combos with precise aim needed.
runner? mostly run when i know they have the upper advantage in the fight OR if im low health.
i mostly bait people by using jet dive on garou's and then turning away, just to waste their preys peril, i use jet dive because its the most useless move when the enemy knows how to properly utilize block.
i personally made my own one scewering i mix aggresive and turtling and defensive maybe even a little baiting into 1 form of attacking called scewering :D
I'm probably a mix of every fighting style, I play aggressive when needed for example: when I start a combo. I make sure I use my defense and my block, but that's probably the less likely fighting style I am, out of all, I'm mostly bait, I try to put pressure and tempting hits to counter them with my Blade Master and then completely combo them, I try to spam bait, it usually comes on top, if I miss one, i'll try to block their m1's before counter attack and punish them, I try to run when an ultimate is coming or I run to trick the enemy into thinking that I'm free before Baiting them, then aggressive comes, okay I may have lied about who I'm the less likely fighting style, and that's no doubt Turtle, I mean it's just defensive but worse, so I don't really need to explain. My kind of baiting is the kind that i use the ability of surpsise, acting as if im standing still letting my opponents hit me while keeping an eye on them and whenever i use garou or samurai and i have counter not on cooldown ofc i use counter if i see my opponents dashing at me without changing directions

I’d say I’m a spammer-runner fighting style, it usually goes like this, use my first move then continue it with another, and maybe use all of them, or, I can M1 put in 2 hits or 3, then run and so on
For the runner playstyle, I usualy just stop following them and they eventualy come back, if it's 1v1 (If not just find another oponent)
My fighting style is doing whatever I want to do in that moment but mostly use aggressive bait and punish and in emergency i use turtle and as a last resort I use runner
Im the bait-defensive kind of player, when on defense i watch the players movement and try and find the weak point of the players movement. After i got the players move, i use my bait fighting style and pressure my opponent with it. And it makes me really overpowered when fighting ranked players.
I like sonic for running from ult also I usually try to make them stop blocking to use scatter m1 whirlwind kick and flashstrike

well for me, i pretty much am playing i style i came up with, its called the chill style, its pretty much not attacking but trying to make friends when they're trying to kill you, plus when they attack i get attacked in an emote, i attack
depends on character, saitama is defensive, metal bat is AGGRESSIVE. and garo depends on the enemy. sonic and genos is obviously spam, literally just because for me it gets the job done quicker. especially since im more used to the game now, but even then, i hardly ever use spam characters anymore so yipee ;)

A good player knows when to use each style of combat, and how to use them, yes, even the ones seen as negative.
If there is a quote to perfectly describe this, it would be “A good defense is a quick and decisive offense.”
There are times when you need to fight, and there are times where you need to run, using too much of either just harms the person, so a balance of both along with the in betweens of each sides is what makes a good player in the first place.
A player who knows how to adapt to the environment and their opponent is more likely to win than a person who doesn’t.
Did you forget the dodger style? It's like a very defensive style where people try to not get hit, but also don't run. A good way to countering them is using AoE. If you haven't got that, wait for them to hit your block, or wait for an endlag and strategize your opening in the process.
Sometimes I use Genos as punish using PS4 aimlock after evasive because here is a little for Genos if you use ragdoll cancel as Genos you can punish your enemies with ragdoll cancel because for some reason it's stuns them
I would say bait also pairs very well with sonic, and he’s a great choice if you want to learn bait. Since most of his moves have huge hitboxes, it’s really easy to punish with them
heres another 2 i found
1: very rare, mimics. theese people is pretty simple to understand yet pretty hard to counter since even if they are not the same character they will be fighting like you. the key point to kill theese annoying rats is to find your weak points and expect a really close weak point in them too
2: sisyphus, theese are the half breed of spammers and runners. they will run forever and sometimes turn back and try to rush you. how to defeat this fighting style is pretty simple. learn the characters well, and try to block or counter when they rush you. this way you will get a good hold of them

Here's a minigame suggestion:
Don't let him run!
So here is how it works:
A Genos will run around the map for 60 seconds until he is hit, once he is hit he has to fight the person that hit him.
However, genos will be limited to certain moves, those moves being: Blitz shot, and Jet Dive. If genos tries to use the other 2 moves, he will get a strike. 3 Strikes and he is out! But here is the catch, once he reaches 3 strikes, he will have to fight at RED hp. (also forgot to mention, genos is not limited to using his ultimate, but you guys can switch it up if you'd like.) if genos wins, all his strikes are gone and will move on to the next and so on.
quick note,
here is the moves limited to every character (besides gojo):
Metal Bat: Foul Ball and the move that chases them.
Sonic: Flash strike and Scatter.
Garou: Hunters grasp and the first move.
Saitama: Consecutive Normal Punches and Normal punch.
Genos: already know this.
Oh and you can switch up some rules if you'd like, this is just a little suggestion I came up with off the top of my head. Also forgot to note, if genos is not hit under 60 seconds (technically a minute), he will choose who to fight and has to fight the person with genos and can use ult instantly. You can choose another character if you'd like to, but I see a lot of genos runners out there. So I chose genos for this. You can also choose sonic for this, cause there is also a lot of sonic runners. Well bye bye!
Well, if you use saitama and u get through the 60 seconds the guy will be forced to fight an ulted saitama which is pretty unfair. I think if you're using saitama ult you should only be allowed to use one move

Genos has to be the ONLY one who can use ult if he is not hurt within the 60 seconds, which is something I should and AM gonna do that now.

I fought a dude who was just dodging all my attacks a bit ago. He was playing with the "I don't need to block if I avoid all your attacks" mentality. You would think he would be easy to beat considering he never blocked, but EVERY TIME I tried attacking him he would dodge, every time I would try predict him he would dodge and punish. He was playing metal bat. No clue how to beat the guy
bait the dodge, try to punish. atleast that’s what i’d try
can you do a list of what fighting style we should use first (so what is better to use when starting game) then what you should use when you get better and what you should use when you get very good
I more of a confusing fighting style like I use my side dashes and back-dashes to try to confuse my opponent but when I’m serious then I mostly play aggressive and maybe defensively
another way to counter spammers is if youre playing Garou and you notice theyre spamming a lot, counter them (especially if they do scatter/jetdive kick)
I always fight aggressively because it makes battles more dynamic instead of waiting hundreds years for incoming hit to block
Balanced: Basically where you're not too aggressive, nor too defensive either.
The opposite of baiting is a thing I like to call”ragdoll counter”mostly use for garou first 4m1 them then right as they get back up use prey’s preril making them think they can get some free hits.

I play as saitama and genos normally for saitama I am pretty aggressive with the combos, and for genos I'm a little bit defensive with it. I used to spam it since i always missed blitz shot but after a while u get rly good with it (I'm still called a spammer by the toxic players who lose non stop) also i kinda just use jet dive and ignition burst to run from metal bat ults lol
i generally try and grow aggressively and use defensive for pvp, since it gives me a space of calm
My play style, as I call it is the joker or the fortune teller. Because somehow I can predict dashes and counter them really easily. For instance: when I was fighting a player and I down slammed them, I dashed to the right since I knew they would do that and then I killed them with a combo.
Ever since I decided to go fight in Duels, I've been started to being called a "Runner".
Well, after I watched this video, I was confused. Because the meaning of Runner is they run away from the opponent, but what I do is dodge their attacks then punish. I don't know why, I'm just a Rank 5 who has lost to lots of sweats in the low Ranks.
Im a mixture of aggresive,turtle and bait i use garous counter a lot and i wait for the opponent to dash or attack and once they do so i take my chance to start a combo or attack them😅
