The names are awesome, you type in the name and it shows the exact guitar you want. If I search Gibson Les Paul, 500 different guitars with a sunburst show up
I LOVE my IC400. I usually prefer med to thick necks, but the neck on it is thinner and wider -and plays amazing. It balances well and looks killer in black. I’d love to refinish it like J Yuenger’s, but for now it’s collecting stickers and rocking Monty’s Fully Monty pups. Glad to see them back!!
I had an IC300, but I always wanted an IC400, of course I really wanted the J Iceman but the IC400 was attainable at least, can’t find them used in decent shape for a realistic price anymore, but they don’t make them like they used to huh ?
6:28 the Ibanez and DiMarzio combination has a specific bark within the mid-range when using mid or high gain tones. It's great, I've been loving it for about 25 years.
I’ve gotta say, I appreciate these videos so much, breaking down brand lineups is huge and you do it so well. I’m always stoked to see a new one, I click so fast.🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Great breakdown. Looking forward to a full breakdown of the new ESP line. And some reviews of those single pickup LP JR like EC01FTs would be cool, too. :)
I am actually really excited for the new iceman’s because I’ve always wanted an iceman, but not sometime super heavy looking. I’m not a big metal player so if I ever get the money I’m going for that violin burst
I get your concern- I play a 335 and we do some pretty heavy stuff- you should see ppl's faces when you're ripping a hot lead on a semi hollow guitar- and it sounds good. Ppl forget- Alex Lifson used one with Rush- they rock. Well- he had a Gibson- the real 335- but they're super similar.
Using wood stain and sharpy can make your fretboard look darker. But it's not as easy as it sounds. You can also use steel wool dissolved in vinegar but that only works on some types of wood. Amaranth is NOT one of those types of wood. I did this on my HB-35, It looks like dark rosewood now, very happy.
Been playing my S470 for 10 years now, the S series is weird and it's definitely not for everyone but I love it to bits. Seriously considering that S770, what a beauty
you deserve more subscribers in my opinion!!!!! you seem to be a good dude:) I really enjoy your content even though our music styles are very different:)
I bought the 1221 pb in twilight flat that guitar is so amazing n awsome to see there doin another finish on that guitar such a rippn machine n those dimarzio pickups rule!
The bass shop has been really cool matte colors that i wish we could get on some 7s. And i really hope we get another RGD drop this year we get an XL 7 string with evertune
I ❤ the Iceman. It's unique and sleek for a pointy without looking like a medieval weapon. I have a 2008 Iceman ICT700 Neckthru in white with black binding and hardware. I put Sperzel Locking Tuners and Duncan Full Shreds on it and set up to Drop C tuning 🤘
ESP needs to start doing what Ibanez does with their basses. At least as far as options go. I've been an ESP artist for years and the bass options are always super limited compared to their guitars.
I always covet Ibanez basses! My Dad plays an Ibanez Musician (Top line Japanese neck thru walnut/maple/gold hardware) he bought new in 1983.), and so have always wished for a guitar just like it. I always see the basses Ibanez puts out every year and think...dayum! Make guitars like that! Just like that! The SR body shape, not to mention perfect headstock (for straight string pull thru)...but the body...that rounded, sci fi looking globule of liquid metal...! I have always loved how Fender does rounded edges. I don't see the craze about all angular edges most other guitars do. A Joe Satriani Sig has it... But the SR is like an amalgamation of a PRS, a Strat, a Joe Sat, and a Petrucci Majesty... And in Blue Chameleon, with angled Fluence Modems?? C'mon! Let's gooo! 15:05 Do that with guitar scale length...so the hardware pushed up...but otherwise the same...or slightly shortened. Thru neck, and I'd sell all my guitars, and buy 3 of them! And play nothin' else!! (Ok, that last part is alie🤥! But I'd def buy one!☝️😊)
As an Ibanez fan (mostly a fan of the RG series) I feel like there's so much potential for the Iceman shape. I'd like to see the Iceman with 24 frets, a wizard neck, and an edge tremolo. Maybe also with more modern options like 7 string variants or sustainiac pickups...
With the Ibanez first original design thing, the iceman wasn't their first original design. The AR or Artist series (ar wasn't the model name yet) was actually their first. It's like a double cut away Les Paul with a modified headstock design.
The Dimarzio hype, is that they where perfect when paired with Marshall, the premier amplifiers for rock at the time. They also work well with Mesa/Boogie stuff, adding to the snarl that is possible when using those rigs. They where meant to supplant the old man sound of Seymour Duncan pickups, which are weaker usually than a Dimarzio variant. Ive always prefered Dimarzio over Duncan, and a side by side of both Super Distortions, is a game changer. You'll swear off Duncan immediately in this case, they simply arent on par.
Ibanez has the bass workshop which is dedicated solely to doing cool unique things with the basses, they don’t have an equivalent with the guitar branch
Putting in my two cents on the edge zero II trem: I had an RG with that bridge and it was decently stable for tuning, but every damn time I changed strings the G string would pop out of the saddle. Also the head of the hex screws that lock down the saddles for intonation were slightly bigger than the intended hex key, so they would strip pretty easily if the hex screw got stuck too tight (which happened with mine from the factory. Hated it with a passion and sold the guitar
I am having a breakthru... what if our entry level floyds were not the problem... but our entry level set up skills? cause now I have a Lo Pro and an OFR... and they are not magic. If I hadn't like.. 15 years of experience with floyds.. maybe they would be frustrating too
Budget IC guitars I think can absolutely blow away a LesPaul affecionado! Imagine basically the same thing in a smaller lighter package but with the same great feel. P.S. Add a neck dive though :D
I never realized that the ukulele was popular enough to justify all the different kinds that are available now. My mom had a Martin mahogany ukulele back in the early seventies, and yes it was beautiful but it was not a guitar, so I never played it.
Another thing to add about the Icemen: They come with Ibanez's Super 80 pickups, aka "Flying Fingers". This is notable because, while a lot of Ibanez-branded pickups are "passable" at best, the Super 80s were hugely popular back then as Ibanez's answer to things like Gibson Dirty Fingers and Dimarzio Super Distortion...something that allegedly stands on par with them! I have not played Super 80s yet so cant vouch, but given the affordable price on these Icemen I might soon...
Ohhh I didn’t know they were highly-regarded as “Flying Fingers”! I glossed over them because the Ibanez pickups I’ve tried in mid-level RGs were as you said; extremely OK lol. Thank you for teaching me something today
Even though the entry levels have the cheaper Floyd's....Ibanez's cheaper versions really do hold up well, I have top shelf Floyd's and a couple of cheap Ibanez one's....I've never had issues with either.👍🤘
Editing this took forever lol.

Ibanez makes some very cool looking guitars, but those trems are absolute shite.
The names are awesome, you type in the name and it shows the exact guitar you want. If I search Gibson Les Paul, 500 different guitars with a sunburst show up
Bassists are eating good this year!
Ibanez's prestige guitars are so nice and you can find some very good deals on used models just by keeping your eyes open.
No joke I used to use my Ibanez RG's model name as my high school laptop password for a while back in the 2000s 🤣🤣🤣
Same I used mine for my wifi password
@@neil2706that's genius really
These basses are really sick 🤩
ibanez names their guitars by having their cats walk on the keyboard
I have to say that was perfect microphone placement, I almost got to see the logo on your sweatshirt! In all seriousness very clean looking logo!
FYI, the Ibanez S1070PBZ also has SS frets and a Rosewood fingerboard.

Thanks Hunter! Been hoping someone would give an in depth list

absolutely lost it at 5:38 lmaooo
5:44 💀💀💀💀
Lost my mind multiple times this video 😂
Great breakdown. Looking forward to a full breakdown of the new ESP line. And some reviews of those single pickup LP JR like EC01FTs would be cool, too. :)
The 5 band parametric eq, and noise gate are
Pretty interesting
Ibanez will do just about anything but make a new line of Destroyers. Still an interesting lineup.
I am actually really excited for the new iceman’s because I’ve always wanted an iceman, but not sometime super heavy looking. I’m not a big metal player so if I ever get the money I’m going for that violin burst

Looking forward to hearing your in depth opinion after you get to play them.
Amazing Tim Henson got a new signature right after this released XD its the TOD10MM
It's a dong away cut 😂 Brisk model 😂
My ibanez guitar sig name would be s8008 or l134
I’d prolly have them do a guitar version of their UB upright bass, the U4M0M 🤷♂️
@@agufish that WiFi password isn't long enough!
Yes! Daron Malakian is what started my love for the Iceman!
Ibanez GRX20 was my first electric 😂 I feel called out.
I really hope they keep making the xiphos 7 until i can afford one.
I love them all, and this was a very well presented video of Ibanez 2024's! Thanks!
I've heard the Prestige factory is changing which is potentially why there's not a lot in the prestige line this year.
Really? That would be wild considering Ibanez has to be Fujigen's largest production range.
First ever Ibanez was a Floyd Rose, oh how I regret it :(
"two ridiculous wifi passwords"
Not wrong though, lol
i hope they realease more S series with floating bridge and fishman fluence humbucker
Been playing my S470 for 10 years now, the S series is weird and it's definitely not for everyone but I love it to bits. Seriously considering that S770, what a beauty
Those bass styles are always so much cooler than their guitars. I wish they made a guitar look like that. Also, no mandolins?
emoji for the youtube engagement, appreciate you covering the Ibanez lineup
You'll hit 250k dude. Keep doing what you're doing. Love the content as always!
you deserve more subscribers in my opinion!!!!! you seem to be a good dude:) I really enjoy your content even though our music styles are very different:)
I bought an Ibanez Iceman IC300 in 1980 and played it a few years back and love it as much as when I sold it in the mid 80’s.
Love my Ibanez JEM7 BRMR. Still plays like a dream after 19 years
Cool guitars! Please give Pringle a boop for me! Good to see her again!😎👍✨
About iceman: the 7 string went online after 2019, in my memory about 2020.
The Ibanez bass shop is sooo cool next bass will be from them
The Iceman cometh!!!!!! Can't wait for the review!
Every Ibanez review you should start with a rendition of Culture Club's Do You Really Want To Hurt Me
Dimarzios rules dude. Crunch lab is probably the best pickup ever made. Especially when you factor in the price.
been watching ur vids since like 2018 ur a goat🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
this is a comment for le gooofish

We-go-fish with Hunter.
This comment thread just makes me like this guy even more. 😂

Love the AG95K but should have been with a tortoise pickguard.
Very cool review! Thank you!
This was a guitar pedal announcement was some bass thrown in there
The bass shop has been really cool matte colors that i wish we could get on some 7s. And i really hope we get another RGD drop this year we get an XL 7 string with evertune
Well it does stay in tune those gio with floating trem, i test dive bomb and all the other shorts of things yet it still stay in tune
Yes! The Iceman is back! My favourite body!!
I’m loving the new frh10n colours
I ❤ the Iceman. It's unique and sleek for a pointy without looking like a medieval weapon. I have a 2008 Iceman ICT700 Neckthru in white with black binding and hardware. I put Sperzel Locking Tuners and Duncan Full Shreds on it and set up to Drop C tuning 🤘
Looking foreward to the ESP 2024 video!
Purple PG Fireman
Ibanez, PLEASE make a Hipshot tail version of the Iceman!
ESP needs to start doing what Ibanez does with their basses. At least as far as options go. I've been an ESP artist for years and the bass options are always super limited compared to their guitars.
Everybody mentions the Ibanez model names, but Solar guitars model names don't exactly roll off the tongue either.
Yeah exactly
I just miss the 2019 colors they had for the AZ premiums. So many rad colors. Now they’re kinda meh.
Same
10:44 I really wish it had a natural headstock. I don’t like painted headstocks unless it matches the finish of the guitar.
Hey - I bet you hate that big bean bag chair. LOL You thought it was a good idea but then you quickly figured out "this sucks"
I always covet Ibanez basses!

got a nice new blue Ibanez Iceman420AMF last week from MusicMusic in England... love the iceman!

Ibanez really has a knack with model names. They roll right off the tongue... like a VIN.
my buddy on six string tv got the blue ibanez iceman he said he loves it

I wish Ibanez would bring back the double edge lo pro trem in their guitars.
Now to convince them to make a lefty model for the TOD10N...
My hot take: wish they’d bring back the Roadstar headstock. Great vid.
Ibanez has the bass workshop which is dedicated solely to doing cool unique things with the basses, they don’t have an equivalent with the guitar branch
Ibanez continues to kill it with the basses
they have to get a couple ppl from the bass workshop to the guitar department
_also that blue nylon one... want it_
Love ibz
My Favorite guitar i have is an old egen-8
I was hoping they’ll release a Iceman Iron Label in 6 strings
Lmao called me out with the Ibanez gio thing
Cant wait for the GRGRGRGRGRGRGRGRGRGRGRG42069

The term iban-i is interesting
I see what you're doing with the background music, its just your version of the split screen subway surfers but for gearheads, isnt it.
8:53 it is Nissans midnight purple?

Maybe it's because I'm new to all this, but isn't NAMM like next week? Did they blow early or is this kinda thing normal?
ive got a RG7421 thats natural but its better than that one headstock is Brown with silver Ibanez logo with the Check and i like the color
“They don’t make evil sounds, only happy sounds…gross” 😂
Need more blue sunburst in my life
Budget IC guitars I think can absolutely blow away a LesPaul affecionado! Imagine basically the same thing in a smaller lighter package but with the same great feel.
P.S. Add a neck dive though :D
Sweet!
470 PB looks amazing

I'm kinda in between the Sunburst Tremolo and the Iron Label, as I'm just getting into guitar. Anyone have suggestions?
No new headless guitars?
When is Ibanez going to reissue a full size CS-9 Stereo Chorus Pedal?
When will they make a budget talman? So sick of superstrats, but i'd happily buy an affordable talman. With tele or strat pickups.
