I just got this exact guitar today. Within 5 minutes I fell in love with it. I was shocked how light it felt. Also shocked of how small the body was compared to my fender strat. I’m 5ft 6 so these are all good things for me :). Excellent reach on the higher frets and neck felt great, not too thin and not too thick. Thanks for all the great content! Just discovered your channel when researching guitars.
I recently started getting serious with my guitar playing and this has been one of the best channels I've run across - its very enjoyable watching your lessons because it's very apparent you love your job and sharing your experience with others. SUBBED.
I have that exact model (AZ2204N) and color and I love it. Especially the alt switch and nine available settings. My trem was also set flat and incredibly stiff from factory. I haven't messed with it yet because I use the trem sparingly, but I suppose loosening the screws inside the cavity and perhaps removing one of the springs should do it.
You’re awesome. Maybe you should do some giveaways someday but only if the guitars are free for you then I would feel bad. Checked out a couple of your old albums very diverse tracks
I have recently just thought of getting this type of Ibanez when I can get a new guitar and now you have one. Maybe not the prestige model but I think it's a sign 🧐
Beautiful guitar. I *almost* bought this model!! I got a Jazz master instead and now wish i would have got this instead! Wanna trade?? LOL. Looking forward to hearing you play this and show us the versatility.
There's something nice about the black body and the tortoise shell pickguard. What is the fingerboard? The HSS pickup configuration should provide an abundance of tonal shapes. Premium price for a premium guitar though. Definitely for high quality players. Set that thing up and plug it in!
I wish that there was an hardtail version of this or any HSS strat like guitar with higher specs cuz over the years can't seem to find anything like it.
@@TomoFujitaMusic How do you mean "swap it" I always wondered why guitar manufacturers never seem to do hardtail S-style guitars... I think that would sell like crazy because personaly don't use a trem at all if ever.
I'm very interested in making that my 7th Ibanez. But I'm wondering about tuning stability w/o a locking nut and a trem? Especially compared to my Prestige S6570q and RG5120m's near flawless tuning stability
@@TomoFujitaMusic I very much like the AZ2204 in hazy rose. With the roasted maple fretboard. I would put the Seymour Duncan Lari Barsilio pickups in it... Thanks so much for the comment back👍 For that, your awesome guitar licks. And your seemingly natural fluidity 🎸 I subscribed!✌️& ♥️
My az2402tff didn't come with the Ibanez manual. I bought the only one in stock here in South Africa. But when I got it the Ibanez manual and the Ibanez warranty paper was missing. The store ignores me regarding the issue. Not sure how to get hold of the manual.
@@TomoFujitaMusic ibanez Japan have contacted their ibanez rep here in South Africa, and he has been in contact with me. Seems like ibanez Japan will now sort me out 🙏 will let you know when I've received the items :)
Simply I am not great at. So I have worked on my bending & vibrato more than anyone! Glass is FULL. If I add something, something will spill out! So I keep everything as simple as I can. I limit myself so that I can be good at certain area. Not everything!
where do you store all this stuff, let alone maintain it all, Tomo-Sensei? You have Fujita Luthier / Guitar Tech Army? Rick Nielsen and Joe Bonamassa have less guitars than you! hahah
Tomo sensei is this okay if I play funky guitar without a pick? I'm a fingerstyle guitarist who finds awkward with a pick. I don't even like the muddy dull tone I make with a thick pick when strumming
Anything you wish as long as you enjoy! All good! But these are choices. 1) Pick 2) Finger Picking 3) Finger Picking and Pick I just don't want people to miss anything. That's all. Pick playing is another art! Very very difficult to control!
@@vietnammg You're welcome! Finger picking is so great and pick playing is so awesome too! Anything to master really we'll... it will take more than 10 years!

Hi Tomo, what a lovely guitar! Thanks for demo-ing it for us. It sounds great even acoustically, so resonant.
My pleasure! Thank you!
I was expecting a piano this time with the size of that box and concerned you might take the wall out at launch time. :)
Nice looking guitar.
Ha ha! Big box! Thank you!
Ibanez japan is the best! I still have and play a jem 77FP 1991!❤️

I'm loving the az series. Hope you love them as much as I do! Amazing guitars from ibanez!
So happy to hear that.
The guitar sounds great - even just acoustically. I'm really looking foreward to hear it played by you with a one of your great amps!

BTW, What's your opinion on their J.Custom line?
