Loved the video, I was skeptical that it would taste good as you were making it, but it was cool to see it turned out well! I would have loved to hear how they were without the bacon salt, considering it took away from the clearness of the bacon and was basically straight up bacon flavoring, it almost seemed like a bit of a cheat haha. Part of what's interesting to me in this series is to find out whether or not it's possible to make it clear AND tasty by itself. That being said, I did enjoy the video as always so please don't only take the negativity from my comment.
I agree! I was disappointed at the end because you're literally sprinkling blended bacon on it so of course it'll taste good/like bacon! I wanted to know how the clear stuff tasted. The clear stuff's crispy texture looked good though. Regardless, the whole video was a great watch. This is my first time watching his (your?! who am I even speaking to) video despite being subscribed for ages (I don't even know why I'm subscribed). I usually get bored watching these Franken-experiment videos: either it's too polished and vlogger like, or it's just someone throwing a bunch of random outrageous stuff together in a way that was only interesting in 2011. It's rare for someone to hit such a perfect mark between honest/bumbling, and yet fascinating. :)
I'd definitely want you to try your hand at something like clear cookies next - basically, something with a bit more substance than the chips-like recipes or water based ones (like the potato chips/bacon, and the tomato soup/ketchup). I'm not sure it'd be possible, but it'd be cool - especially if you manage to serve it with a clear cup of coffee as well!

When I went to live in the US as a kid for a bit, half Canadian but grew up in UK, I was quite shocked just how burnt Americans eat their bacon. In the UK we mostly, especially with back bacon cook it just ever so slightly above “cooked” no burning or crunchiness at all. Plus, we usually eat back bacon as opposed to American style bacon which we call “streaky bacon”. I can see the appeal and I don’t mind it THAT much, but I’ll keep my unburnt bacon thank you very much, preferably streaky though rather than back.
Sometimes when slicing meat the slicer hits the meat at a certain angle that the meat ends up sort of holographic, something to do with the meat deflecting light like a prism. Be cool if you could replicate something similar in a clear food.
If you are going to do a lot more clear stuff and you are able to spend the cash, look up a vacuum filter. Not the hoover type, but the ones used in chemistry. They are super fast and super effective.

In Labs we use a Buchner funnel and pump to save time filtering stuff. Not sure if there's a culinary version or if it's something that can be DIY'd?
