Right? lol I literally can’t imagine anyone hating Emmy lol she so cute and sweet and has the most wholesome content 🥰 this is literally like my TH-cam comfort show lol
I just read this and was curious as to why I rarely get notifications for Emmys channel anymore… I’ve been Unsubscribed! If this is happening to others, it’s no wonder why some creators are struggling to reach certain benchmarks or feel they are plateauing. Emmy probably isn’t but many have expressed concern. TH-cam must be fiddling with their algorithm again. I also notice that it’s getting harder to “Like” content, even when you’re still subscribed. It moves too fast into the next thing on the feed or the ending commercials, even before you have a chance to cancel it. I don’t have “auto play” enabled, and I don’t have TH-cam Premium.
I'm so glad Emmy's channel not only is highly intriguing to me, but is able to make her a living. What a blessing to make money doing something you love. Keep chosing your sponsors wisely Emmy!
Emmy , you're amazing ! .. you have fun, you love to share, you are so well spoken and friendly ... Your channel is wonderful and so lifting .. Thank you Emmy 🙂
Two things… I saw someone making a clear cheese burger and I thought “I’m going to wait until Emmy makes this” and two days later here we are with bacon. So I’ll wait for my favorite YT food experimenter. Secondly: this sponsor is finally something I can see myself using. I’ll do my own research to see if the pros and cons are going to fit in my life but I absolutely LOVE this idea. 🤟🏾
Emmy I'm so excited to watch you hit 3M!! You've been blessing us with your beautiful soul, pretty face and extraordinary talents for years and deserve absolutely every good thing you achieve for you and your little family!!! ❤❤
I love the science of cooking! This was actually pretty cool but does seem like the length of time isn’t worth it. Leave it to Emmy to make a recipe that is weird and cool at the same time. Let’s get Emmy to 3 million SUBS!! Heck YEAH! Thanks so much, Emmy! I so look forward to your videos!
I’m Irish and we call bacon Rashers as in rashers of bacon, there’s streaky and back bacon rashers. Bacon to us would be like a piece of ham that you boil. And a ham is a ham lol!
Very cool! That would have been something that I could have shown to my elementary school students when I was the Science Lab Teacher. They would have loved it! I wonder if you could adapt this method to make a kind of bacon "candy". Hmm...
There's a recipe from the channel Crazy Pieces and Crazy Middles called "Cheez It Chicken" it's chicken covered in cheez it and seasoning and stuffed with Mozerella cheese and it's put in a muffin tin, so it's shaped like a muffin. When you cut into it it's gooey and cheesy!! That would so stinking good to make!! 😊
Emmy and Bob Ross got me through Covid. I was so sick and honestly felt like I probably was not going to make it through. Their voices were so soothing it helped me be calm and breathe
I'd love if you and Barry could colab some time. Maybe one of you will holiday near the other and get to do something. You're both such amazing channels with great energy.
Unlike Canadian bacon, UK bacon is actually not from the loin only. It's referred to as 'back bacon' and is a combination of pork loin with a strip of pork belly hanging off it.
The first Emmy video I ever watched was when she made clear potato chips and I was honestly expecting this to have a similar result. I'm glad it turned out better!
I feel like these clear starch-and-flavor foods like this bacon and those chips would be a good thing to know how to make during hard times when we can't afford or can't find comfort foods. Something maybe to spice up mundane survival rations if we ever find ourselves in a true apocalypse scenario.
Fun fact in Canada there is no "Canadian" Bacon, we call it ham, peameal bacon is another thing, but as the name suggests it has a coating of peameal. Bacon to us is traditional cured and smoked pork belly bacon.
I love the way u speak, the tone of your voice n the way u thoroughly explain things w\o being a bore lol. U would make an awesome high school or middle school teacher. U would be one of the "cool" teachers 😊 edited for typos n also to say your sub count was 2.99m n i just subbed. Hoping u get to that 3M soon!!!🎉
Try making homemade liquid smoke. It seems most folks think it's artificial or weird chemicals but its typically just real smoke captured through condensation... easy to do at home and tastes better than the store bought stuff, especially with different wood types
Lately I've been watching random videos and H-Mart pops up. I just had one open near me (I went in opening day 😊) but I've learned if so many different things that they have that I missed because it was SO busy. I'm going to wait a few weeks and go back and take my time exploring.
You can actually make liquid smoke. Alton Brown did it. It's literally yhr smoke condensation concentrated. Its a wonderful way to add an umami, savory flavor to anything. It should be in everyones spice cabinet. Just like soy sauce, & Worcestershire.
Canadian bacon and peaneal bacon are not interchangeable names. What Americans call Canadian bacon is a kind of circular cut ham. Peameal bacon is made from wet-cured but unsmoked pork loin that is coated in a crust of cornmeal. Prior to WWI, ground, dried peas were used instead of cornmeal, which is where the name comes from. I’ve never seen peameal bacon in the US, only in Canada - and even then it’s centralized around Toronto, where it was invented. For non-peameal Canadian bacon , omit the crust and smoke the loin after curing. The Glen & Friends channel has a video making both. Sincerely, a Torontonian living in NYC who was jonesing for peameal bacon sandwich during COVID.
This is truly the food of nightmares, or dystopian science fiction. It’s in the same category as that “smooth sandwich” Emmy made that one time. Yikes! I must say, though, I admire Emmy’s always-adventurous attitude toward food, even scary foods like this one.
I watched Barry's video & wondered...will Emmy try? I think Barry might be the British version of you - wholesome food videos & experiments delivered with affable charm.
Man. Clear bacon. I wonder how that would go with banana pudding. Actually I wonder if banana pudding would be good? Actually I bet banana pudding would be a great southern favorite. But who would want a video about such a thing?
Curious, I have a 3x3 silicone food mold for candy bars. It's only about an inch and a half wide since its tapered. With how thin yours came out, I wonder how a thicker pour might react. I'd still want a good crunch, but not as hard as peanut brittle.
My Son has been watching Barry since high school. I'm relatively new to his channel. Emmy, I saw a rabbit get hit by a car today and was almost tempted to pick it up and make roadkill rabbit, but I knew I couldn't do it. I did cry though, seeing the poor thing get hit.
I believe Liquid Smoke is made from real wood smoke. My Mom used to use it in some meat dishes. I haven’t seen it for decades. But it must still be on the market, since Emmy has it.
Have you ever seen the clear milk tea in the bottle in Japan? It's crazy... completely clear like water, but sweet and creamy like gogo-no-kōcha or Royal Milk Tea!
Sorry, just need to clarify/correct… that is not “peameal” bacon. The name literally comes from pea meal (crushed dried yellow peas) being rolled around a brined (cured) piece of pork - cornmeal is now used. What is typically called “Canadian bacon” is nothing more than smoked ham rounds. If true peameal was used the “bacon tea” would pretty much be salt water 😆.
i think she’s one of those youtuber/vlogger who has zero haters. i love her voice so muchhh.
She's adorable. 😊
Right? lol I literally can’t imagine anyone hating Emmy lol she so cute and sweet and has the most wholesome content 🥰 this is literally like my TH-cam comfort show lol
Her voice is very calming. It's honestly at least half the reason I watch these videos lol
Right lol

11 hours and we’re still waiting….
She’s at 2,990,629 right now

Oh man you know Barry! 😭❤️ The collab I never knew I wanted until today. You both seem like the most heartwarming people ever!
didn't they collaborate on something clear like this like 5 years ago?
I'm so glad Emmy's channel not only is highly intriguing to me, but is able to make her a living. What a blessing to make money doing something you love. Keep chosing your sponsors wisely Emmy!

Forever marveling at what can be done with potatoes. Also I can see one of the molecular gastronomy fancy chefs using this as a garnish.
Im watching Emmy for many years!!! She is lovely and so positive! She makes my mood❤️ Thank you dearest!!!
Today, Barry made a clear Big Mac. Yes that's what I said a clear Big Mac.
I was just thinking that soon Emmy would be able to make a full clear bacon cheeseburger with a side of clear chips 😅
Who made it?

It's only worth it if you're getting paid, which all these unoriginal viral followers do via ad revenue and sponsorship.
The mere mention of Barry and, well, he's utterly one-upped the clear bacon with his clear big mac video earlier today... :P
I love Mr Barry’s channel.
OMG!!!! I hadn't heard of Barry before now. I'm all here for clear bacon; but clear Big Mac is too far for me lol
He just did his clear big Mac! It's amazing! I love you both so much and this is awesome!
Please get Emmy to 3 million. She’s the best TH-camr.

Did you see his clear tomato soup or ketchup? 😁
I am so glad that you try this stuff so that I don't have to.

I am so down for an Emmy x Barry collab. Love both of your videos and you both look like you have such a good time in the kitchen!

a monstrous creation that flies in the face of the natural order. i love it.
Barry did the Clear Big Mac, so clear BLT is perfectly within reach.
"It tastes like ham water hahahaha!" 😋
I had to click. I was intrigued!
Jones canadian bacon is the BEST!! It's actually made here in my hometown in Wisconsin. I love seeing it "in the wild"

Oh man, the very next thing I will do in the kitchen is make bacon-salt.
I will use it selectively on... Everything!
On a grilled cheese bacon salt is killer
Love Bacon salt!
Awesome video, this is always a fun recipe!
The first Emmy video I ever watched was when she made clear potato chips and I was honestly expecting this to have a similar result. I'm glad it turned out better!
Emmy, in the time it took to make this "bacon" I could have made at least 20 lbs of regular bacon. 🥓 🥓 🥓 You have the patience of a saint.
I think that's clearly amazing 👏
I see what you did there
Sold … you’re the best sales lady ever !

Brit here. I'd of called the meat Emmy used ham as well.
I've always said that "Canadian bacon" is really ham. Good to know I was right.

That's the weirdest Canadian bacon I've ever seen, and I'm Canadian
I had never heard of peameal bacon until yesterday and now here it comes up again. LOL Twice in 2 days and never before!
I must say, that is an awesome sauce pan. Now I want one.
If you didn't add the sprinkle of the bacon essence at the end, what would it taste like? Is there any flavor? Mild bacon taste from the bacon water?

You can actually make liquid smoke. Alton Brown did it. It's literally yhr smoke condensation concentrated. Its a wonderful way to add an umami, savory flavor to anything. It should be in everyones spice cabinet. Just like soy sauce, & Worcestershire.
It seems that you could dissolve salt (without the ground bacon) into the solution, so you don't have to sprinkle it on top.

The smaller "batch" looks to have multiplied in the oven, I would say that is the biggest difference.
