- I always wanted a nice pianoshell for my Korg PA4x Musikant and Korg D1. Since I couldn't find one on the market I decided to built my own mini-grand, based on the Korg D1 digital stagepiano and the Korg PA4x workstation. This video shows how I made it.

congratulations.Great job.Almost all the DIY i ve seen are from people who have pro woodworking machinery ,but you did it with very few tools that anyone can have.Thats really great.

Thanks for your nice comment on my video. Almost all the shells are haevy but mine is including the Korg D1 piano only 26 kilo so very easy to handle.

Masterfully built, mate... Excellent idea on the remote extensions and patch panels. The magnetized leg cover was brilliant. Plus the use of light-weight ply was a superb choice. A piece of artisan craftsmanship. Well done! As soon as wood prices seem reasonable again, I'll be referring to your build video again. Again, Bravo!
I'm very impressed. Someone should create a factory for digital piano furniture like this. Why don't you do that? Wine bars and restaurants would go crazy for this.

This turned out beautiful! So many small parts to cut and glue and clamp. You really did a fantastic job constructing it, especially given that you did it in such a small space with limited tools. Bravo!

Man you're an artist, what a mindblowing piece of work, it's just amazing how you managed to do this all on your own, one thing I might have added is some speakers hiden inside the shell, faced towards the floor maybe.. congrats anyway!

Thanks for the nice comment on my video. I made this shell for on stage so I don't need built-in speakers since there's always a PA-system. But thanks anyway for the idea, who knows for in the future!

That was my question as well. If you were playing away from a stage at a park say, having onboard speakers would be cool. I love this idea and I love that you have two keyboards there so you can create a full powerful sound just like an organist, without having to split either keyboard.

How did you remove the side panels from the Korg D1 sir? great project!
