    I don’t think Big wrote that song thinking of Pac but Diddy most definitely knew what he was doing dropping it at that time. Diddy played with Bigs life and was responsible for him losing it.

    • @larryscott8423
      @larryscott8423 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The person who killed Big is responsible, let’s not get that twisted. If dropping a song at an in-opportune time made you responsible for another grown man’s actions, then rap music would have been banned.

    • @JacobC479
      @JacobC479 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      @@larryscott8423 Diddy is responsible for setting up the situation that got Big killed. Security told him that 3 different people had told them they were coming to kill then that night since they were leaving the next day. What did Diddy say? “You don’t gotta go then.” Big was supposed to be in London when he got killed, Diddy called Kirk Burrows and told him to cancel it. He was determined to go to that party and show his ass and get a little money and it cost Big his life. That security guard, Gene Deal, is the only reason Diddy didn’t get shot up. Diddy wouldn’t let Gene ride on the car how he wanted and made him get in the back seat, then moved the seat all the way back. Gene told the driver to run the next three lights. They ran the light, Big didn’t. If Diddy wouldn’t have made the decisions he made then Big would still be here.

    The first time Everyone outside of the NYC & Tri-State area heard “Who Shot Ya”, we all said “why he’s dissing Pac”. Puffy was foul, but brilliant (albeit sinister) marketing. Pac saw thru the bullshit. “Hit Em Up” was greatest response. But on “Against All Odds” Pac did not mention Biggie only Puff.

The fact the song was written, recorded, and meant for an entire different Mary J. album speaks to as much. In this interview, he’s asserting Puff released the song in a way to antagonize and stir up public discussion, hence bringing more attention to the song. Even thought it wasn’t specifically about Tupac, he designed to the release to create an association.

Who didn't bust a sick verse for the heads on this back then? Hell, I even got one! Maybe I'm making dude's point. But if you didn't rhyme hard on this it wasn't worth listening to.

    Perfect example of how the industry puts these artists in harms way just to collect on their "untimely" demise. Everybody in the Bad Boy camp kept telling anybody who would listen that Biggie wrote Who Shot Ya months b4 Pac got shot. But what we fell to realize is that Diddy put the record out intentionally after Pac got shot. So Diddy started the beef between 2 friends who both would end up dead. And Diddy reaping the benefits of Biggie's death.

Puffy and his whole camp claiming their innocence . Then while locked up this song comes out! It wud have been smart if u was dealing wit a studio gangsta, but Pac being the man he was wasn't that by far. Then enters Suge, then shit gets REAL . @@smokey5100 True, in Pac’s mind. If you really take a deep look at Pac’s life, he was not a rational individual but had a very one-dimensional mentally. Often seeing the negative in a situation as opposed to other positive outcomes. So of course he would not differentiate that Biggie was his own man and judge Biggie based on what he knew about him as an individual. Biggie did what he could. He warned Pac to no avail about Henchman and Haitian Jack…and even after the shooting he looked out by hiding Pac’s gun in the studio at Quad so he wouldn’t catch another case! Big Stretch’s brother Majesty said in an interview that he told Pac while he was in jail about Biggie’s loyalty before the beef (he even forgot that the dudes who robbed him in the elevator pointed their guns at Cease while he was trying to come get him) and that was the first time Pac really considered that Biggie was actually his friend and not his enemy and that he had nothing to do with that situation. However, once he joined death row it all became a marketing scheme for him to come after BIG and Puff.
