I had a similar idea and installed a SR6100AT receiver and bound it to a DX3 Smart. It works great and the truck benefits from it. It's not a must, but the truck used to drive all over the place with my skills. That is now a thing of the past.
@chrish.6629 . IMO it’s something they should’ve added, for the size of the truck it definitely makes it feel more controllable. 👊🏾💯
