@synapticflow . I do got glasses just forgot to throw them on 😂😂!! Didn’t run it stock I should’ve so I can’t really say good or bad but it’s really responsive running it in the house. Carpet track bout HR away so👊🏾💯

@julzgalang . Don’t have a guide on the xmaxx but the esc is plugged into the throttle slot where the old esc came out the motor needs a different mount . There’s a lot of them search eBay for xmaxx motor mount 56series something with the large can size. For that motor 5690 it use 8mm shaft so you will need a mod 1 pinion with a 8mm bore.

@ i already have the 30mm pnw rc motor mounts on the way. And a mod 1.5 gears coming. Does the motor already have slots for the mounts? I really need to see how people do it.

@julzgalang . The motor has the holes in it just need to screw them down to the motor mount. The pnw mount should come with the necessary hardware.

@hydroboy35th . If using the Traxxas remote you might need the BlueTooth adapter and get your reverse at 100% the esc is not sensing a signal. I don’t really have experience with Traxxas remote I replace them immediately don’t like the way they feel personal preference. That’s my guess why it’s not getting reverse.

@ what you’re saying makes sense however, wouldn’t you need the Traxxas ESC to run the Bluetooth? Pretty sure the Traxxas link only works with Traxxas ESC’s.

@hydroboy35th . Yeah I didn’t think bout that ( Traxxas be making sure you use their stuff 🤣) Maybe trying the multifunction switch at 12oclock there’s two zeros on the remote ones all the way left the other is at the top.

@@LBizzyRCI found the problem, it was the receiver. I had a Spektrum DX3 radio/receiver laying around that I tossed in real quick and everything worked as it should. The stock Traxxas receiver wasn’t putting out enough voltage for brake/reverse. This is a brand new never ran xmaxx by the way lol.

@hydroboy35th . That’s Traxxas for you 😂😂 you see why I get rid of that quick🤣🤣🤣 guess that’s why they only go with their esc. Try to lock out the receiver going through loops to make it work on another esc. Glad you got it to work👊🏾💯

@keldonator . Haven’t geared it down was waiting on thermal shut down just seeing if it works with the sensored setup, was hoping to hit thermal so I could adjust.

That’s pretty cool upgrades don’t worry about the negative comments. I’ve seen several $800-$1000 rigs being upgraded with motors and ESC, suspension parts gearing and so on. I own an off-road RC track and I’m building a track for smaller groms and the mini maxx inside of my off-road track. It’s going to be epic. I also ordered a mini max and don’t plan to do any upgrades, just run it on my track. Most of these people are just jealous because they want one. I don’t want to admit it.👍🏽👍🏽

@No-rh6zp . Turn on transmitter make sure your throttle is at dead center. Then hold the power on button on esc for 3sec then release it should be blinking that’s for neutral hit the power button once to set then pull full throttle while holding it hit the power button once that sets full throttle go full brake hit power button that sets brake when you release brake it should calibrate start blinking turn off esc and then back on and it’s set.

@@LBizzyRC it didn’t work I’m having a lot of issues like it does not stay set and when it decides to work and I turn it off I have to recalibrate it and it sometimes doesn’t work can you make a video please I can find any other videos

@TheRealStuntShady . That’s the stock pinion , I used a 5/64 drill bit to bore the pinion out for the motor shaft.
