This is why Inspectah Deck is my favorite MC of all time.
Ohh shit, respect you actually break down lyrics, and not just quietly listen and then say nothing constructive.. Props for that, as that is precisely how one should react to real hiphop.
Always been, and will continue to be a Gangstar fan. Since the 1980s living here in NYC, its like GangStar was a must heard, played especially during the summer. Block party, passing car, in a bedroom. The five percenters was acknowledged on this track, but so was life in general. Our minds and creativity is far beyond earth. Guru's tone, and style was always opened for a collaboration, but he did not collab with any and anyone. Years later, when they heard inspector decks voice, and flow, its a nice fit. No shit talking, just two hip hop cats, that respect the culture. Guru, continue resting in beats. Been enjoying your style and flow, since my Junior high school days. Now i have grey hairs, and im still enjoying.

Whenever you here percent, mathematics, gods and earths and a bunch of other key words in hip hop you should start thinking about 5% Islam. It’s a movement that grew with hip hop in NYC. It underlies the metaphysical thinking of a lot of great MCs to some extent. Ideas like “real” facts being synonymous with absolute land area, a practical middle ground between underlying your worldview with either religious or materialist ideas exclusively. The ideas exist on a plane that in practice let’s one oppose imperialist and/or capitalist ruling oppressors.
In a nut shell… we have all of these 5.5 GPA’s giving you advice about life… what can they tell you about a black man that came from nothing… where did he get his knowledge from… far example you got ppl like Jay-z is a billionaire… how did that happen…we get our knowledge from a higher power…keep digging you will find…so keep digging…learn on your own…and let’s come together and see what we learn.

This is my favorite Premier beat and my favorite Guru Bars are on “robbin hood theory”. Inspectah Deck is a part of Czarface which is him doing MF DOOM lane stuff but not biting DOOM, they actually collaborated and have projects together.
