It's refreshing to see someone review a designer bag that actually acknowledges how expensive (and somewhat ridiculous) they are, and how it requires saving and it's a treat to self purchase for sure. So many others just review and haul it as if it cost $10 because they're rolling in cash and it's nothing to them. Thanks for being REAL as always Anna! 😘
YES. I get that a lot of TH-camrs who buy designer bags are wealthy and I'm sure Anna has a pretty good income, but it's nice to see her still acknowledge that it's a pricey purchase - especially for many viewers who likely don't have her kind of income.
I don't understand why you don't have more subscribers. This just shows how dedicated you are in making quality videos.
I'm not usually a massive fan of 'what's in my bag' videos but I think you have made this one really well! I liked the vlog style of seeing what was in it, in different situations. It was really thought out and you can see how much time and effort was put in. Thank you Anna! Xxx

I really love how you were kinda apologetic and "don't tell my mum" about the bag purchase - it's so refreshing to hear a vlogger talk so realistically about luxury branded bags. I've been eyeing the Faye for a long time as well but it's just not practical to have a bag like that given the currency of Malaysia and on a middle class salary. However, love watching your vids Anna! xox
I like the 3-part-ness of this review in one video instead of spreading it out over several videos. Makes it feel more complete and succinct? And really appreciate that you were more honest and objective about the pros and cons. Most people, especially on youtube, tend to try to see only the positives about their expensive purchases. This review was so well thought through and planned. Such a useful and insightful review that actually helps consideration of an expensive purchase (although still undecided!!) The 6 month filming element and clear effort that went into this takes away any bragging/show off elements that other bag unboxing and reviews can have - much appreciated, thanks x

On the issue of not being able of throwing stuff into it: I had the same issue, and I bought a really cute printed canvas bag, which I fold and tuck into the side of my bag. It's really small when you fold it so it doesn't take up a lot of space, and when I go shopping or want to pick up some groceries, I just take the canvas bag and throw everything in there! Love it!
It's so refreshing to see a youtuber do such a comprehensive bag review, over months of wear! So many youtubers do 'what's in my bag' videos or unboxings and then a few months later do another one, which just isn't realistic for most people! So thank you for actually using your stuff and giving them proper reviews!

a great suggestion for taking care of the leather and helping to remover the marks, is buffing some eucalyptus oil into the leather with a dry cloth. i use a glasses cleaning cloth on my bag which is a lighter grey colour and it helps with the marks and also discolouration. you'll only need a little bit.

Bloody hell that's a gorgeous bag - they have the smaller size out in all pebbled leather, burgundy and I'm so tempted to buy it. This review really helped though, in terms of knowing what to expect from the wear of it. X

Finally a luxury bag review that I enjoy to watch, no bragging no showing off, making acknowledgement to how expensive and thoughts put in to buying an expensive handbag!
Really appreciate the amount of thought and consideration you put into this video. I love the look of designer bags but hate the way most TH-camrs don't acknowledge how expensive they are, often portraying them as an entitlement of acquired status. Thanks for being real with your viewers and not buying into the elite hype around these types of videos, e.g handbag unboxing, what's in my designer bag and designer hauls.

I absolutely love to watch any video about handbags. This was one of the best I have seen. I have a fabric bag that I keep folded in my handbag. It unfolds to a large size, but just tucks away in a corner, and takes barely any room at all.
As someone who is yet to buy a designer bag, I love this in-depth review! It's SO helpful! And the bag is stunning x
I don't own a Chloe bag, but I always use saddle soap on my leather bags. A good saddle for a horse is typically made with a higher grade leather than that of a handbag so I always use the stuff I conditioner and clean my saddle with on my leather bags and I can see a huge difference! Maybe try it on a different bag first to see if it's a result you like, but it's a trick that completely changed my handbag care!
Lexy Smith SUCH a good tip- I would never even have thought of using my saddle soap on my bags?! It's so obvious now I've read that 😂😂
I agree with one of the previous viewers -- it is so refreshing that you acknowledged the cost as a real factor because even in my early forties I doubt that I will ever own a bag that cost much more than $100 US dollars because designer bags aren't a priority enough that I would save for a long amount of time for one, but that's just me.This was an awesome, very well thought out review -- well done as always!

Sometimes I feel like people 'love' the bag just because of the brand, the name and the hype it has, but you really went into its practicality and when you have to save up for a bag like this, these information is so important to know! I love my Faye, but I bought the small one because of the reasons you gave it cons. The smaller one, while still so expensive, is easier to manage, pack into a suitcase as an "extra" bag on a trip and to use -- although I wish mine were all leather instead of partially suede. Great, in-depth video!
i've been dying for this video. i love that it wasn't just a first impression. i still love the faye though i was surprised at how thin the strap was. my one in charcoal grey just arrived and i love her!

I actually really enjoyed the honesty of this review, plus the editing is really good.I am kind of glad that it took almost all of 2017 to make, because it kind of took up through the year of how it really worked in you daily life.
I rather like it. None of this designer stuff is really 'worth' the money, but if we want something . . . . a man/woman has to do what a man/woman has to do!!

My momhas the one with the suede. I wouldn't say it's less durable, unless you really worry about every little spot on it. She wears it rain or sunshine and it's totally fine.
Thank you for saying No when you asked yourself is it worth it?! Coz so many times on the internet people say Yes to that question when their experience says otherwise and when we can see that they cannot justify it.. people need to understand that it is Ok to put your money into something and not finding it worth.. that doesn't mean you don't love it!

Always love your honesty, Anna. For someone as practical as you, and I mean that in a good way, I can see the cons of this bag. It is beautiful, however, and definitely can complete an outfit, but I also love a tote I can just throw things in and not worry about it getting damaged or what I can fit into it. I'm not into crazy expensive bags (I have an Oroton bag I think you'd LOVE) but gosh it was refreshing to watch this. I don't think anyone else actually says how much they paid for their fancy bags which makes it seem even wankier. I totally get the "content with purchase but not in love with it" vibe you put out. Colourlock Leather handbag cleaner and conditioner is the BEST, I use it on all my bags (Gucci, Alexander Wang, Chloe, Mulberry, Balenciaga) and it works amazingly on all of them, I can't recommend it enough! You can get it on Amazon. x
If you're looking for a really functional designer bag, would highly suggest the Proenza Schouler PS1 in tiny.
Congratulations! It's pretty for sure. I wanted to mention that there are See by Chloe bags as well that are less expensive, still made by the Chloe brand and have a similar look. I bought one recently and love it. I like that you mentioned the pros and cons as well as the insanity of spending so much on one item. Somehow it is still worth it (and already planning your next purchase!).

LOVE the Chloe Faye bag but I'm definitely tempted to go for a preloved one if I decide to save up for one. Especially with the Canadian dollar being so crap and some preloved bags being in almost mint condition!
I've never seen a Chloé bag that I've wanted to buy (the Faye comes the closest, I guess), they all look too overly trendy for their time. It might be because I remember how ubiquitous the Paddington was and now no one will be caught dead wearing it, so I keep thinking all Chloé bags will go that way. There's always some detail about them that makes it look off and kind of annoying to me lol. Anyway, this is a great video and I've been so excited for it ever since you mentioned it way back when lol.

Beautiful bag - it looks so much like a classic Coach bag that I own. The bag shape looks lovely, and like you, I like to throw my things inside without thinking about it too much, but the style isn't the most practical for that. i think i've watched every chloe/luxury bag review on youtube & your video is BY FAR the best & most informative. like others have said, you've touched on every topic & i LOVE the 6 month wait to see how durable it is! that's what i'm looking for in a review, we all know the bags are pretty, that's why we are looking at them but it's the actual USE of the bag that matters (to me) & i appreciate your in depth review. Such a great video! Please do more of these 😊. Regarding taking care of your bag (and leather goods in general) leather or shoe conditoners tend to soften the leather and to make it less resistant to damages. That's probably why it's recommended to not condition bags. The best leather conditoners are classic, hard natural shoe waxes but they are a bit tricky to use on bags - who wants greasy marks on clothes 😉.

I have three Modalu bags and love them. I always buy them in their sales so rarely pay over £100, and they are superb quality--they look as nice as this one. I keep mine in the dust bags between uses and they've worn really well.
