I recently brought the Chloe Tess... and I must say that I am in love. I love the chunky gold hardware and the two handles. I have become a minimalist when it comes to carrying handbags; so perfect size for me. Thanks for the review Emma. I had my eye on the bag for a while and finally bit the bullet and purchased...
Girl, you are the queen! What a great review that relly can be relevant for any big expensive purchase, to really think very good of what our big money goes towards.
most bag companies insert the internal leather "flap pocket" in the same type of leather as the outer bag. This way you, the user, can try out any leather conditioner, water proofing agent etc. on the internal leather, before using it on the outer - thus avoiding ruining the outside of the bag if the specific leather treatment has an adverse reaction to the leather. as an avid worrier it soothes my mind to have tested things like that on the internal part.
Personally i also end up using that kind of pocket for my travel/oister card, so that i dont have to get out my cardholder on a busy station (theft prevention ;) )

I was going to add, it’s a good spot for a valet parking ticket or coat check ticket so you can easily slip it somewhere easy to access when you later will want it quickly.

I think it's a very cute bag and I love the size of it, since I prefer a smaller size bag with age. Adjustable shoulder straps are always great too! I liked your review a lot and your ending is cute and realistic. :)

"15% off, that may as well be free!" - that made me laugh a lot. 😹 I don't have any designer bags, my small black leather cross-body bag was £2.50 from a charity shop. Pros - it's a Clarks bag and had never been used. Con - it's pretty damn small.

I absolutely love your bag reviews!! I've been thinking of buying this bag (I'm a sucker for Chloé bags) but the main thing holding me back is actually the thick strap which does fit the bag but I'm not sure it'll fit my small frame..

Great review. I saw it in Bloomingdales around Christmas & knew it was too small for me & too stiff. You’re right about how firm the magnet is, I casually wanted to glance inside anyway but didn’t tug on it. I thought there might have been a press & release button underneath. Another Tip: put the item into your favorites, when it’s almost gone you’ll get an email from the store w/discount. I got my dream bag that way with a huge discount . It was the last one. The Macken Fringe solid black crossbody by Burberry, w/tassels & laser cut detail. I love structured but soft leather. Fits a ton, not like your Mom which I used to be like :) thick bi-fold Wallet +card case, phone, hand lotion, sanitizer......it’s 1450.00 US but I got it for under 1,000.00.

When I purchase a bag, my test is; is it going to fit my prescription sunglasses. I don’t own a cell phone, so I don’t have to worry about that. My favourite bag of yours is Judith, I love her to bits! 💖

You do make me smile Emma- that discount thing is deadly , my only saving grace is being perpetually broke and not having a credit card lol. This bag me of my beloved small Chloe lexa, but unusually for Chloe the lexa doesn't have a lot of noisy hardware. It's also a little larger so more practical for me.I use Collonil products on my bags and shoes as it's the best I've found .
the only bags i use are by FOSSIL are 100% leather and are hardy to every day life , not so much hardwear but i love them x

Out of all the Chloe bags out there this is the one I love the most and one that I will keep in my collection, I found the others like the Faye very heavy and the chain on the bag was annoying as it would always get in the way when opening and closing, I didn’t like the drew strap and the Nile was gorgeous but I could fit my phone in ( a lot smaller then the Tess small) and only really looked good in the small not medium ( same as the Tess) but this is the perfect combination of all the bags put together!!! Love mine in the bleached brown as the strap also goes with a lot of me Louis Vuitton bags as well! ♥️

Matchesfashion is always better than Net-a-Porter for discounts and sales (seriously, 15% off is ridiculous). I did the same thing! 😁 bought the Susanna boots (hum... because of you... LOOOVE them) and a gorgeous APC bag on Matches, and was THIS CLOSE to get the Tess handbag instead.

Hi Emma ❤️ As you told us the shorter top Strap is removable. Is the larger, adjustable Strap also removable or can you only wear Tess on the Tophandle with the large Strap still hanging down? (which is a pretty cool look) 👜 But maybe for using it with a - for example - Wedding-Guest-Dress it does seem a little bit too cool/bold ..

Thanks for the comments about the noise. My God, I have probably worn my Chloe Susannah boots 3 times due to the noise, and they were the very first edition I got.

Hi Emma, I saw the sweater you are wearing is dry clean only (love the sweater, but hate dry cleaning), I was wondering if you have tried washing it possibly? 😄
talb0807 yeh I never take anything to be dry cleaned. Just get some Woolite and pop it in a garment wash bag and wash in the machine on the ‘hand wash’ setting 👍🏼 Just make sure you re-shape whilst wet and lay flat to dry and it’ll be good as new x
Do you find that it makes noise when you just walk around? (Like an annoying amount or a bearable amount)
alongforthememories personally I’d say it was bearable but it also depends how you’re wearing it and with which strap. Wearing it cross body seems to produce the least noise 👍🏼

Lydia Carels no it’s not that heavy. In comparison to something like the Gucci Soho Disco it’s slightly heavier but not by much x
