The beautiful lady in the car is Angelina's maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani. Angelina wrote "Million Miles" after Mery's husband passed away in 2019.
Angelina has told her angels that "Fire and Rain" is about us, as she carries us with her wherever she goes.
"All My Fault" seems very personal to me. Angelina desperately wants to keep a relationship going and is willing to take the blame for any troubles.
I like to think Angelina is getting rid of all the negativity in her life with her "Good in Goodbyes" which is my favorite track on the EP.
"Diamond" completes the Old Enough theme by letting the world know, she is strong and confident in her talents. She will dazzle the world with her music.

Sofia Vergara is 5'7" tall and has heels that are 5", so she is standing 6ft, Heidi Klum is 5'9" tall and has 2" boots on, so she is 5'11" tall, Angelina is not wearing shoes, and she is at least 6'1", if not taller. and she is stunning, to say the least. I wish they would not tilt the camera; I hope AJ is happy with her stature because there is nothing like her on earth, she is greatest storytelling signature voice I have ever experienced in my 75 years.

It is her grandma Mery (biggest inspiration for Angelina) in the car. When she gave out this EP she said she have writing over 100 songs( this are six of them) so loads more to come. Also a new one is Our time that is used in SoFi commercials. In Paris she met Steven Spielberg and performed for him, so let us hope... She also appeared at German Next Top Model so you see her perform on a show were contestant go the cat-walk...

Angelina has been writing songs since she was 10 years 0ld - So far 12 have been released: Oslo, What is Life?, Shield, Million Miles, 7th Heaven, Love Don't Let Me Go, Now I'm The Fool, Fire and Rain, All My Fault, Good in Goodbyes, Diamond, and Our Time. Angelina has stated that she has written about 100 songs that have yet to be released. Her songs are taken from her Journal writings. When she was 10/11 she rewrote the Lyrics to Amy Winehouse's Back to Black and Rehab to make them more age appropriate at that time.

Yes, Angelina wrote the core lyrics and melodies for her EP and has stated that - but she also collaborated with others on the recording mix which would include tweaks to phrasing and perhaps changing a few words for better flow, backing vocals, and instrumentation. The EP production credits list several co-writers including Rachael Platten and Tara Stinson. In addition, it is rumored that Dianne Warren one of the greatest living pop songwriters has had some input on Angelina's forthcoming full album. Angelina has stated that she has written about 100 songs so far and that will be sharing them with the World as time goes on.
It’s most likely that we will never hear all of the 100 or so songs that she has written to date because she will continue to write and probably write even better songs than some that she has in the vault right now.
@@pjg58x You are probably right to some extent - for example, I don't think we will hear What is Life? going forward as the lyrics were written from a younger Angelina's perspective - However, as she gets older she might devote a segment of her concerts for some of ther early songs and her personal memories. You might see album titles such as Angelina Jordan - Early Works or Songs From My Journals. She may also end up using some songs for concert-only performances.

Angelina has been writing in her diaries since she was 6 or earlier & her room has bookshelves full of them. She said she gets all her songs from these diaries & she has written over 100 songs, so far. She said she picked these 6 original songs from that pile of 100 songs. Her record label has provided a couple of songwriters to help her polish up each song, so she does have co-writers, but she is the main lyricist. Yes, do Our Time & be sure to put on your dancing shoes since it's a real "Banger" that has also been used in a nationwide commercial for SoFi Financial, which is an on-line bank catering to women. One small criticism. it's very difficult to hear what you are saying when you talk over her singing. You might want to consider pausing when you comment. My favorites are Now I'm the Fool & #2, Good in Goodbyes, but I love them all.
Great comment Keith. Many have debated the importance of her co-writers. I think your characterization is perfect. Any creative artist whether they paint, sculpt, or are a poet or a composer of music realizes that pure art isn’t created in a vacuum. Angelina epitomizes this. Her talents, the essence of who she is as a musical artist, all stem from her absorption of jazz music and jazz (and other) musicians affecting her since she earnestly started listening to music at around the age of two. Polishing the edges of her thoughts and emotions with the help of co-writers is only natural.
Her bookshelves filled with her journals attest to the fact that her music is authentically hers, sung and performed from her heart.

Hello guys, she is 17 years old and in just under 2 months she will be 18, the whole EP is such a masterpiece, everything is original and so well written by her, I can only say she is outstanding and by far the best singer of this decade or Century and Diamond is an even bigger surprise I have never experienced in my entire life that an EP only contains number 1 songs, each of the 6 songs is a hit and grammy worthy I hope that Republic Records finally starts the promo engine and gets them on the radio and TV only played on TH-cam is not enough. The crazy thing is that she said that the EP with 6 songs is a small selection of over 100 songs that she has already written, that gives hope for the future that we will be surprised with even more beautiful songs. The "Lady" in the first video is Angelina's Grandmother Mery - who herself was a child prodigy in art and poetry and introduced Angelina to jazz when she was an infant. The two are inseparable as Mery is Angelina's inspiration and muse.

Fantastic to see you again react to Angelina, thanks girls for this beautiful reaction! This EP "Old Enough" it's so intense and passionate, I still can't decide which song to prefer... but as usual with Angelina, the result is, all of them. She is absolutely stunning in her vocal talent and her technique is of one uniqueness so evident and so incredibly captivating and piercing! I love her fantastic ability to mix old and new in music, another of her amazing features. Angelina has done a beautiful and intelligent musical work with this EP, the lyrics are excellent and are mainly the result of her ingenuity, even if in collaboration, and they tell an evolutionary path, from a breakup, through the stages of demonization and suffering up to the full self-revaluation and self-affirmation of the last song Diamond. Is a wonderful EP, new, unique, passionate and with very beautiful and deep lyrics, written by a seventeen year old girl who is absolutely fantastic. What a wonderful evolution of our little chrysalis over the past 10 years. And if consider you that this EP is only a part of the definitive LP that will probably be released in the last part of year and should contain 11/12 songs, imagine what more she could put in it! ❤🧡💛

Ms. Angelina Jordan may well be graciously and thankfully accepting insight and help from two very experienced industry experts, but frankly I'm not sure who is learning the most from whom. At 18, with the family dynamic she's grown up with, and the preparations for living her life that she's received from her whole family, but especially Mery, her maternal grandmother, her lyrics are EXCEPTIONAL. And the music, where I'm sure those experts have helped the most, is so finely crafted to fit the song, the message, the mood.... I'm in awe. A perfectionist, I suspect, hard at work crafting her future, one note, one phrase, one step at a time. Brilliant!

Hi Girls. We missed you very much and so it was a real surprise to see you again reacting to Angelina's EP. I highly recommend you next do her new original, Our Time, and the from the Portsmouth Concert last July, her rendition of Unchained Melody which many feel may be one of her greatest performances to date. Although filming the Portsmouth concert was not allowed, BigAngieFan was able to piece together this performance from 4 different recordings concert goers did. It was so spectacular and special, prepare yourself. Looking forward to meeting you both at her upcoming world tour in 2024!!
Angelina co-wrote all six of the songs on the EP. Mery Zemani is the older lady in the Porsche in the first song, Love Don't Let Me Go. Mery is Angelina's maternal grandmother (i.e., the mother of Angelina's mother, Sara). This song has become extremely popular with line dancers in the Far East. There literally are dozens upon dozens of TH-cam videos of people doing a line dance to this song. Ice skaters typically pick the music that they choreograph their skating performance to.
Angelina was one of the 21 young women invited to Le Bal des Debutantes that was held this past Saturday, November 25th, in Paris at the 5-star Shangri-La hotel that overlooks the Eiffel Tower. This is the most exclusive debutante ball in the world as one can only go if invited. It is also a fashion and charity event. All the debutantes had a custom haute couture dress made for them, each from a different designer. Angelina had Dolce & Gabbana and had two dresses, one blue and the other wine color.
On Friday, November 24th, much of the day was spent with fashion photographers taking individual to full group pictures of the women. In Vogue magazine online you can check out some of the pictures taken. One picture has Angelina (in her blue Dolce & Gabbana haute couture dress) and the Countess Lara-Cosima Henckel von Donnersmarck (her father is an Oscar-winning filmmaker) who look striking together. A second picture has Angelina with her cavalier (i.e., date) for the Le Bal event. He is the grandson of the first President of Indonesia (his name is Frederik Kiran Sukarno-Seegers). This picture has Angelina in her wine-colored Dolce & Gabbana haute couture dress.
According to Gala magazine, the German-made ca1880 emerald-diamond tiara that Angelina is wearing is worth $1 million. With her wine colored Dolce & Gabbana dress, during the ball event in the evening, Angelina also added an Italian-made ca1940 ruby-emerald-diamond necklace and bracelet with the emerald-diamond tiara. The value for the necklace and bracelet may be $500,000, or more. Thus, the three pieces of jewelry were thought to be worth $1.5 million, or more. Note that Angelina was mentioned, and had multiple pictures, in The Royal Watcher blog. That is because, the emerald-diamond tiara was said to be from a Royal Family. You can see both the blue and wine colored dresses in the blog posting (go way down the posting to get to Angelina).

That was an interesting choice until you know the history behind the song. The melody is based on "Plaisir d'amour", a popular French love song composed in 1784 by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini. Jean-Paul was well known in Parisian circles. In 1787, he directed concerts for Queen Marie Antoinette. With the French Revolution he left Paris for Lyon and returned in 1800 to become the Professor of Composition at the Paris Conservatoire. So, what better song than Can't Help Falling In Love to end the night of Le Bal in Paris?

It was fun to listen to Mother talk about fashion shows, because recently Angelina sang, at the invitation of Heidi Klum, on Germany's Top Model as background for the models. She was also one of 25 young women, invited to Le Baule des Debutants in Paris. She looked absolutely incredible. She recently debuted a concert in Maine, U.S.A and sang a version of Unchained Melody that should go down in history... one of her best, if not her best, ever. I would love you to react to It's our Time, because it has already been picked up as a jingle for, I believe a bank or an insurance company.

I think you both differ from most posted angel rankings even while most will say they can't choose a favorite or they're all great. The "problem" (and you saw it too) is that it's an exceptional body of work. As you listen to it more, it is likely your rankings will change (lol, and then change again). Time, place and circumstance will evoke different responses. You've already seen the criticism. We DO want to know what you're saying. That's part of the reaction. I enjoyed this reaction and loved the "disagreement". We all are individuals. Mother, she is NOT wrong. Its just a different choice. We like what we like. Of course. The first time through its understandable to concentrate an the music and vocals. But after listening to the lyrics, and hearing each song a few more times, I got a much better understanding of the EP as a whole. On that basis, Good In Goodbyes is clearly my favorite.
