Audrey Roberts is a selfish woman especially to Alf and Raquel and curly are a good match
I'm not a huge Tricia fan, but isn't it truly awful that this country has put people in prison for not paying a TV licence, and still do. I felt very sorry for that character.
The Ken Denise love quadrangle is rather tiresome. Not very credible, and hard to care about any of them!
I used to love classic coronation street, but by 1996 it was spoiled by the likes of fiona the scowling hairdresser, and mind numming Jim,so it is ,McDonald, not so funny either , thanks for fred I say fred Elliott, marvelous actor and so funny Mavis &rita kept me watching ,also Jack &vera ,magic ,they had to make it more for younger audiences, as if they dont have enough to watch, give me stan& hilda any day, stopped watching todays version years ago,talk about far fetched story lines, and no humour, shame .

It was amazing back then best soap on TV now its just horrendous R.I.P Coronation Street.
Vera says she saw the ghost of Ivy. Much later the ghost of Vera appears to Jack and they have a conversation. That was very touching!

I've never like the character Denise, or the actress that much, but I have to say she's acted really well in the last few episodes & if this was her final departure it was well done & rather heart-rending!
The last couple of episodes of January 1996 are notable for the arrival of St. Stephen of Canada, long-lost and illegitimate son of Audrey Roberts, who exalted him as a paragon, but as I remember he was pretty ruthless all told. And the return of Ivy - as a ghost, in a scene that either makes you shiver, or laugh.
