- MasterChef Canada S01 E08 Full Episode: The 10 remaining home cooks went to CFB Trenton for their next team challenge, in which they had to prepare and serve a rib-eye steak with two sides for 151 members of the Canadian Forces. Kaila was the captain of the Red Team and she chose Danielle, Dale, Julie, and Marida. Pino was the captain of the Blue Team and he chose Eric, Mike, Tammara, and was left with Carly. The Red Team was allowed to save one member from elimination, and they saved Marida. In the pressure test, the other four members of the Red Team were challenged to make salmon wellington. Danielle made the best salmon wellington and she was safe, while Kaila and Dale were the bottom two. Dale's dish was deemed the worst, and he was sent home.

It pisses me off so much how much Kaila doesn’t take responsibility when they run out of veggies and blames everyone else
While I don't like her,they never said anything about the portions other than the potato regardless if she's the captain the objective is too win so if they were smart and individual thinkers they'd have told her.
The judges don't need weeks of this show to know who gonna win the first week they knew and structure the show around their winner

Eric's mouth wide open when bonacini was revealing that choosing the cook to be saved was a team decision, the moment was priceless.
Kaila is a massive hypocrite! When Dale saved himself in the first team challenge she called him a coward and yet she is scared on this occasion that if she didn’t get saved or saved herself she would be eliminated. If she really is this great cook that she says she is she should have nothing to fear about cooking in a pressure test. Just a ridiculous ego.
For that reason they say, "never judge another person without having walked a mile in their shoes", you don´t know when you going to have to put on those shoes.
Yeah her and dale are my most hated two people there both so silly and self centered it angers me but we also have to remember that the pressure of the moment and the 100k and more on the line means that's there gonna be self centered

Julie literally says that she knows they dont have enough and proceeds to keep prepping more despite kayla telling her to stop until kayla basically comes over to her to say your done on potatoes to force her to stop. Buddy, kayla's team ran out of both of their sides and one of them was 100% because of kayla telling her team mate to stop making more, kayla even suggested giving more potatoes after their other side dish ran out, showing and proving that kayla had no idea how much potatoes they actually would have needed, she was the one who wanted to stop making more of them, she was the leader and made that call even after her team clealry disagreed with it she still chose to stick to her call, and then when her calls conseceunces came up, she just tried to shove them over to julie who wanted to make more potatoes. kayla was shitty leader who screwed her team over and then tried to blame her mistakes on her team
@@legendaryjimbob7685 No, when Julie knew she didn’t have enough potatoes while prepping, then she should’ve gotten more. What is the team going to do if she did go and get more? Physically assault her? No, the judges would’ve stepped in, saw what she was doing and told the team that she is right but she never stood up for herself. Sorry not sorry, the team captain shouldn’t have to teach someone stuff like that. I agree that Kayla should’ve kept her mouth shut but you also have to be able to stand up for yourself in the kitchen!
@@billbob6029the whole job of a leader is to make decisions. The whole job of the team is to follow those decisions. That’s how it always is. Team members’ ideas are useful, but a leader who doesn’t listen is useless. Ironic given that this is a military-themed challenge where following orders is imperative.
Also, under your logic let’s look at the order of events that lead to failure:
1. Julie recognizes there are too few potatoes (situation)
2. Kayla tells Julie to not cook any more potatoes (error 1)
3. Julie follows orders not to cook potatoes (error 2)
4. Team does not have any potatoes to serve (error 3).
Even if Julie committed an error by not going behind her leader’s back, her error only stemmed from the fact that Kayla commuted an error before she did. It is not Julie’s fault she was put into a situation by the failings of someone else, moreover someone who had hierarchy over her. By solving Kayla’s error, you also solve Julie’s error since it occurs after; Kayla’s error is more fundamental. Cut the problem at its head.

watched this few times and still amazed every single time how Danielle, despite losing 10 minutes of her cooking time, managed to get the best looking and tasting dish. Bravo Danielle!! I genuinely hope you’re doing well in life.

@@anittas224 well, she's the only exception in that team alongside Danielle I guessHAHAHA I didn't like Dale after that ep where he went "I love drama" after messing up in being the team leader. With Julie, I'm mostly neutral to her since she's pretty much there because someone was always worse than her. With Kayla, well, this is the ep where I ended up not liking her, she really showed her hypocrite side in this ep. She even blamed Julie for the potatoes when she's the one who told her to stop making more to begin with.

Kaila has no right to call anyone two faced when she's the one who's two faced. She should of been sent home long ago in my opinion. She's a weak cook, she never followed rules and ends up messing up, she threw tantrums and threw everyone under the bus and I agree with Danielle when she said that Kaila lacks common sense.

It’s not a person competition meaning the judges don’t give a crap who likes who, it’s strictly about who can keep up with their expectations as the competition gets tougher so basically whoever can actually stay in the competition. if you think the producers care enough about their views to keep bug eyed people in a competition then you are wrong, the competition is enough drama as it is.
Attitudes aside, you gotta give Kaila props for being in like, literally EVERY pressure test in the season and still surviving time and time again.

Dale seems like an overall nice guy. Danielle recovered nicely after all that lost time. Julie seems like a red flag for any type of relationship, like the type to break all your car windows and slash your tires. Plus, for being so confident about the Wellington, she seemed like she had a lot of questions and had no clue on what to do. Kaila always has that wide-eyed look, like she walked in on her parents bed wrestling and is going to be traumatized for the rest of her life 🤷🏽♂
Bruh Dale's the worst of all. You haven't seen the hockey team challenge have you? He TANKED the team hard, didn't take any responsibility at all and saved himself and another contestant that didn't even take part in the team challenge just to spite on his teammates. Horrible guy

Wow, the fact that Kaila wanted to save herself despite leading the team into a loss really shows her character. Most others take responsibility and volunteer for the pressure test if they failed like her. This is likely why the Judges took the choice from her. They saw she lacked integrity and accountability
