I mean “taste is king” all the judges have always done it, they will compliment the flavor no matter how bad the dish is put together or presented lol he’s just doing what they all do 🤔
Meanwhile julie the season 1 who can't do anything and almost drag marida down with her during S1 challenge just complain literally like a karen... "Left over food" The difference of character between them is so staggering its comical how annoying julie is
I like how Marida came in Eric's restaurant as they were finalists in their season... Also David and Lin ... My favourite from season 2, David performed really well in all the episodes specially the last team challenge with Christopher.. and Eric look really happy and proud now😊
Mary may talk a lot, but she's a great contestant, even giving compliments and advices to her competitors, she is like that one contestant that'll lift a runner with broken leg
I absolutely love Alvin and Erics bond/partnership they have. Something out of a movie and its so wholesome. You can see how proud Alvin is of Eric too.
A fun team challenge but also shows some of the arrogance and attitude from the Season 1 contestants, mainly Julie is still there. Regardless fun to see this episode in full.
As an Asian watching these people complaining about a giant fish bone or lobster shell in their food is hilarious. I remember eating an entire mackerel at 7 with hundreds of bones in it. My mom just told me to eat slowly and be careful. Growing up I appreciated bones in my foods, I often deep-fried fish bone and ate it as a snack, or sucking on baby back rib bones because of all the flavor seeping into the bone.
It's because it's lobster cartilage in a chow mein dish. Sure fish has bones and in typical asian restaurants stuff is served on the bone or in a shell but that's not how a chow mein should be. It should be easy and quick to eat
I remember one time when I was a lil kid still living in the Phillippines I was eating some delicious fish, and a fish bone got stuck in my throat. My grandma told me to just drink a bunch of water to get rid of it, and it worked! So whenever I get bones stuck in my throat I just drink it down 😊
David: no disrespect, theyre doing an amazing job, i totally understand... Julie: it was an leftover dish... Me: yes thats her, she did not get kidnapped and replaced by an impostor😂
once you've been behind scenes in the kitchen cooking. you then know what the pressure is like and you have respect for them. it's like working in retail. once you have been both a customer and an employee, you have respect and the understanding for both sides.
once you know how to use the wok, you can flip dishes with any kind of pans even skillet with handles. i learned short order menu back in 2017 as a line cook in a chinese oriented restaurant in dubai. i trained tossing with a boiled egg without breaking it. until now, its all muscle memory.
The face Chef Claudio made the moment that B Julie started opening her mouth and whining like she knows everything about lobster cuisine and as if she could cook better, plus that extra insult at the end, when the fact that she should've been eliminated at early-game. He knew well she's only here to whine and use her privilege, her comment card went straight to bin
As I researched, inviting alumni back as guests were maybe the first idea of MC Canada, and it’s the very interesting thing that keeps me rolling through every next season
Chef Alvin is amazing. To think he is one of the three judges in the whole MasterChef franchises that hold multiple Michelin stars (along with Gordon and Graham) is amazing.
13:56 seeing Line back to this ep. was so emotional, I could never forget about how ambitious she was to every last dish, besides, David’s also very emotional when talking of his family 😊
Matthew complaining a lot, he isn't even do the wok, just arrange the dish. What jeremy did is tough job so makes sense if he focus on his job bcs that's eric's winning dish
I think matthew complained mainly because Jeremy was the team captain and should have been looking after the orders that were going out and coming back. A little bit of word of acknowledgment or appreciation or even how you doing would have helped them.
David. S2 winner Complains about the lobster but understanding and complimenting the effort Julie. S1 contestant who can NOT do anything on her own almost bringing down marida with her during dim sum tag team challenge. Complains like a Karen saying "it's a leftover dish" Different quality of these 2 people are staggering. So glad David won
Matthew’s flavor combo sounded amazing. I didn’t get Jeremy’s chocolate-orange-mint combo. In fact if Matthew’s glaze hadn’t leaked through, I bet it would have won.
I guess they just did that to get that product on camera... Most likely "Finish" must have been a sponsor, I saw it in one of the other episodes... You know the Casanova one where the cooked for the designers of the spring collection.
The confidence from Eric with his experience now you can just feel it and he teaches people which is so cool and inspirational
And roasts CantoMando's cooking skills🤣
@hiyuur Eric had learnt a lot, which I'm glad of
