    9:45 Relaying these tips to my partner, as I do not want her unable to make good financial decisions later in life (my mistake for solely managing the finance side of things). This advice is golden - thank you!

    Hey Tasha! The workshop sounds AMAZING! Just what I need to learn! However, I’m not an American and I live outside the US, so I’m wondering if the content will still apply to me? Thank you!

    It’s so interesting how financials have changed generation to generation. I feel like the generations before us didn’t have to depend on investing as much. They put a little bit of money away, but they often times didn’t need to- it was more because you’d get free match money from employers ON TOP of getting a pension from that same employer. Add that to a funded social security and there is no stress about “what am I going to live off” or “I need to work until well into my 70s and won’t be able to enjoy life”.
    We (current working generation) HAVE to learn about investing as pensions phase out and as social security becomes less and less secure. Bonuses and cost of living raises aren’t so common anymore.

      And savings accounts rates these days are practically non-existent. I work with seniors and their advice to me is outdated, as they haven’t kept up with what’s going on in the financial world theses days. They say Wall Street is overrated and to open a savings account because I can get interest from a savings account and my money would be safer. Lol. Oh no ma’am. 14% vs .01%? I’m going with 14% 😂
      And the looks I get when I say I won’t get a pension (pension plan at work have been frozen indefinitely).

    Great video! I'm based in the UK and interested in your course. Will the advice be relevant to my region? I'm looking for the right apps to help me start building my portfolio and clarity on what companies and currencies to pay attention to. I hope it does 🙏🏽

    In addition to my 401K, I’m only able to invest $100 a month. I’m putting it towards a Roth IRA. Should I keep working towards increasing my Roth IRA contribution or start putting it in a more general brokerage investing account? 😥

    • @ameliaryczek8433
      @ameliaryczek8433 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm not an expert, but the main difference between a Roth IRA and a regular brokerage account is that any growth that happens in your Roth IRA doesn't get taxed as income, whereas in a brokerage account it would. That's why a lot of people recommend maxing out IRA and 401k accounts first - because they're tax-advantaged.

    I save/invest 20%of my income right now. I'm currently doing 10% investing 10% emergency fund. The plan is to get about a 1 month emergency fund and then start putting money into my ROTH IRA. Is that the best strategy? Should I divide the 20% I'm saving and investing differently so i can also fund my ROTH right now?

    This an awesome video… 😍🥰😘. You expressed my fears about no pension/security social concerns… I am saving in company 401k( 19,500) a brokerage account, an Acorn and Stash accounts and old fashioned savings account. Biggest fear, old and broke woman eating water and saltines
