I really loved this deep dive into AlpenFury’s construction and everything else!! Seriously, I’m impressed with these updates. With that being said, I really don’t know if AlpenFury will be ready on time. There’s still a lot more that goes into prepping a new ride for the season and they’re pretty much still doing land work and some footings. I’m glad they’ve at least finished the caissons though. I hope the weather continues to work in their favour but we’re apparently supposed to have a crappy winter so I hope not!! Interesting news about Time Warp too 👀
11:20 Something that wouldn't sit right with me, as a buyer, is the park selling me a ride not ensuring its components are cared for prior to sale. Just a thought, in regards to the potential sale of Tomb Raider/Time Warp. Doesn't mean you're wrong.
It's pretty common for a refurb to be a part of buying a used ride. You're going to pay for that as a buyer either way - if the seller does the refurb the price is just going to be higher to cover that.

So, if recent history is any indicator, ElToro Ryan did a video showing all of the clues that were there indicating the removal of Kingda Ka. One of them was a train that would normally be going into the normal maintenance schedule being left on the transfer track. So, it stands to reason that you are correct in your thinking about Time Warp having an uncertain future, shall we say given that context clue. Another answer could be the company getting new trains for the ride, so these don't matter anymore. We'll just have to wait and see. Thank you again for all of the videos.
Sure hope it’s removal. Perhaps to begin work on Kingswood area. With the two woodies getting rebuilds, leviathan work it’s weird trains are still sitting there.
Seems like Canadas wonderland has maybe bit off more than it can chew for this off season. Love all the work and attention but please get Alpenfury going this season
Vertical will start after Winterfest Closes, In my opinion. With the park opening Full Tine for 10 days over the holidays, It limits their option for building vertical. I am concerned, but, Hoping the weather will not be horrible in January and February. In my honest opinion, They should have had all this mountain construction done early in the new year.
Like I’ve said in my original comment, we’re apparently supposed to have a bad winter but I’m hoping that’s not the case. There’s still quite a bit to be done even after a ride is finished being built such as certifying the ride and all that fun stuff so if little progress is still being made in Jan/Feb, then I’d REALLY start to worry. Here’s to hoping the weather works out for them!!
Amazing video however I fear that AlpenFury doesn’t finish construction by their opening date and it gets pushed back to 2026, considering rides like Flash Vertical Velocity and Rapterra are already finishing and testing, but other rides like Wrath of Rakshasa and AlpenFury are just starting construction on ride
It might be delayed but I would never see it pushed back to 2026 at this point in Georgia surfers construction(that ride got pushed back) they hadn’t even broken ground yet.
@@deletedaccountdnd Flash certainly could have opened in time for Fright Fest. For whatever reason they didn't expedite the construction to aim for it though. AlpenFury is further along than any rides that were delayed an entire operating season. Wrath of Rakshasa was only 2 weeks behind Iron Menace for start of vertical construction - it went vertical at the start of December and Iron Menace went vertical 11/17/2023.
@@deletedaccountdnd Flash was YOUR comparison. AlpenFury is ahead of Flash's progress at this point last year. Flash didn't even have footers going in until FEBRUARY. I find it far more appropriate to compare it to rides that actually did start construction during the previous calendar year. Iron Menace opened with the park and went vertical in November. Wrath went vertical within two weeks of that date - it's possible it can still open by Memorial Day if built at the same rate. AlpenFury isn't vertical yet - which is a bad sign for it to open before June, but to discuss any possibility of missing 2025 is just plain ridiculous.
