We are at the beginning of December already. I work for a construction management company, and as such, I know that the two weeks around Christmas and new year are slow. Even if guys are physically onsite, their focus and speed are not there. This year’s Opening day for the park was May 3rd. So they have about 4 1/2 months. To complete everything. Including landscaping, testing, certification and staff training. They really need to get moving here …
@@kylesouthworth4963 I know a few guys who helped build Yukon, Leviathan and Snoopys and even they’re like this is not a possible place to be in to finish on time
@@AmusementInsiders first, I love that you interact so much in the comments. Second.. that’s disappointing to hear rumblings from others that they may be behind. Thank you for all the videos. I mean it, they’re a welcome distraction
R u joking....this is not ready in 4.5 months.....no way no way!!! They would have to have the best 8 weeks of any coaster construction job on the planet for that to be reality!!!
My guess is that vertical construction will start sometime next year, maybe in January should the weather cooperate. This will definitely be delayed atlest until july because 5 months to do construction, landscaping, and testing isn't enough, especially with snow on the ground.
How many pieces of track will thier be for the coaster? 115- 125? probably 100 left to be delivered...4 pieces a week? That put just track delivery at 6 months!!! That's june just to get the stuff delivered... 2nd if it's that slow, no company will have cranes, crews just standing around for weeks/months on end putting in that many pieces a week
All the way back when you had the construction tour with everything, they said they needed to do and still design I was thinking that opening day seemed optimistic. Now I'm thinking at best June or July with how complicated the mountain construction will be. I figured with all the footings they did back in June that they would have gotten an early start on the station. The fact that they haven't every started the footings for that or gone vertical is alarming. Just so much to do.... BTW not only does Behemoth need a paint job it needs a new look that's not stealing Talon's colors!!!!!!
Thank you for the detailed update! It's hard to say, is the slow work because the track is coming in slow so they aren't in a rush or vice versa. In any case, the fact Wonderland also announced the silver pass after the passes went on sale in August and upgraded all regular season pass owners to Gold make me wonder if they already have a feeling this ride will be opening later in the year, as insentive. Even on their website they are advertising the Gold Pass to ride AlpenFury. I believe some of the other parks also announced the silver pass, so could be just coincidence though. Also I thought I recall in the walkthrough of the mountain earlier in the year, that they mentioned the new thunder run exit would go towards basically where the new Tiny Tom's is, which is where you are seeing the markings now 🤔
Furthermore...look at footings, mountian work...they r NOT in any rush whatsoever, why would they...they know track will be a while. Station is a little different, I almost bet all that was rush produced so they could start the station. U said yourself they r still bidding on vertical construction...of course, they don't need to start it yet, materials. Haven't arrived
I said this when they didn't go full throttle after labor day that they would be late. They are going too slow to make opening day. Its December folks.
I've been hearing a bunch of enthusiasts say this coaster would be late. But I didnt believe them because you still had faith, Brendon. Now, since you're getting worried, im starting to question myself... I really hope they get Alpenfury open on time 🙏
@@hogle25 it's an example of how much more difficult it is to work in Canada vs most of the USA right now. All shipping is also at a higher cost than the USA all partially related to how the national service is run.
They can work in the mountain all winter. Makes sense to get the outside stuff done first

I’m just out here anxiously awaiting an opening date for Alpen Fury so I can book a flight lol
It will probably be in April for the season pass preview

July or August at best!!!

U need to wait until 2025 when wonderland opens lol
If Behemoth doesn't get repainted by 2026, we riot.
I hope Ride of Steel at Darien Lake gets a new paint job by then too, it hasn't been painted (except the bunny hills) since it was built in 1999.

Thank you for all you do to keep us coaster nerds entertained during the cold season 🎢
Hope they get the outside stuff done for AlpenFury before the ground freezes. Love the track color, nice. Cant wait to ride it. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
YES a 10 minute update holy crap
Very nice.
That was a very thorough up date. Probably the first time that I've seen a close up of a rebar tag on TH-cam.

The lack of track on site is absolutely concerning for the ride opening with the park lol
“It’s a little late” took me out 😭

Vertical construction should've started last month. If it did, they would've had the first inversion completed by now or last week.

I'm definitely hitting up Wonderland next summer. 5 hour drive but it'll be worth it!
hope alpenfury it goes vertical soon for you guys, wrath of rakshasa just went vertical yesterday
That coaster was completed a while ago. It even began testing a week or two ago

@@marcussorenson3380 omg I'm sorry! I was thinking of rapterra. My bad, two completely different coasters!!
@dreamy.reader52 that's alright rapterra has gotten faster now since the first launch
👍
Its soo pretty 🤩
I LOVR that color blue wow
Nice video
The only thing weird is the blue on those supports .. lol
Amazing if they fix Riptide's water!
Ask wonderland if u can write smthing on the roller coaster track 😂😂😂 like a signature or smthing lol
Gearbox = transmission on coasters
Thank you thank you 🙏
I think that this will probably open on may 24 weekend because there is not way they can get this done in time I hope I am wrong though.
I think that it is likely now that it will get delayed for a month.
At this rate, they should immediately start our next coaster, so it might open on time for that year!!!! Lol lol lol
Technically, they're not late with the 10 year maintenance because of covid.
Valid point
Covid didn't delay anything. It was the reaction to covid that messed everything up. Your government is as corrupt as ours here in the states.
Let's go
Brendok more poles more poles excited
Brendok ride soon go up like Rake go down Thudie Run exit
Hi
I can’t see them getting this done in time at the rate things are going. Mid summer may mean hotter temperatures and faster trains at least
When did backlot get renamed cornerstone?
When will vertical construction start?
1:46 don’t take medicine it screws of your mind
Leviathan needs a paint job bad. On behemoth a paint job wouldn't be as beneficial.
That’s the other way around , behemoth is not even its original colour
@@David51295exactly… it is the coaster that needs a paint job the most
Interesting comment about action zone at the end of the video. What do you think they should do with Action Zone? Could they make it a DC Universe?
I hope alpin fury will open opening weekend but I’m worried
Same here 😞

We don't even have a national postal service right now, they are on strike. No doubt this ride will be delayed......
Canada Post isn’t involved - private shipping companies only.
Lol lol they don't ship 1000lb coaster track throught canada post

You need to relax lol. They can start in March and have that thing done in 2 months lol

This will not be ready by opening day. I'd say sometime in early to mid July.
