So I've had this DVD for 24 hours now. Two words....THANK YOU! I've learned so much already. If anyone is considering buying this, do it. But if you're a beginner, I recommend, practicing your scales, major and minor. Once you can play those fluently, this video will be even easier. Thanks again guys.

Thanks dude I will take your advice. My problem with learning new things is I want to just dive in and feel things straight away. I mean look how much fun this guy is having. Gotta put the work in first though hey :-)

Haha I love black people's reaction when a musician hits that super fat sexy chord, they hit you with the Rick Flair "WOOOOOOO" and then proceed to relocate, sometimes walking out of the room entirely, priceless. Gospel musicians are always incredible

I tried reaching out to Hudson and Hal Leaonard on several occasions. No response, I even saw them at the NAMM show. No response and no love. I guess I'm suppose to do this on my own :). Which is fine, because the Lord has been blessing and we have a huge following now.

I like that groove in the beginning of the video! You can add one more chord before going back to C. Left hand chord would be: F-B-Eflat....Right hand chord would be: Aflat-C#-F....and the bass player would hit G.

@vowarrior1 All of the MIDI is there and the sheet music. You just go to the chapter and choose which chapter and which movement and all of the MIDI and the sheet music is there. It's just not on the screen, because it's very hard to find a MIDI Rhodes and you can't quite do a Neo-Soul DVD without a real Rhodes.

I bought the DVD/Download its worth it! The other neo soul tutorials don't get as detailed. You'll need to practice but he shows you exactly what to work on. Im on video 3 of the series and anyone with very basic music theory can learn it. Unsure if he dives into improvisation but the way he shows you to create chords can easily allow you to improvise. I don't think youll find a better tutorial online thats as detailed. I'm a classical pianist thats been playing since i was 10 he knows his stuff. Unsure if he gets detailed about neo soul funk grooves the way Jaime Foxx improvises. None the less its worth buying

Sorry for my rant, but I just want you to knnow as I'm sure so many others would agree, your music is a gift,, and for any pianist out there that can't afford to study at a university, or have ever thought of going, I strongly encourage you to study Jamals videos first.
