    This is so dope. I'd do this "accidentally" all the time, and would love the sound, but didn't really have a method to it. Now, I actually "know" what I'm doing, and how to do it on purpose. Super simple how you broke it down too. This is magic! 💯🙏🔥

      The word you want is 'tritone', not 'triton' (sic).
      Two tones that are three (tri) steps apart, hence the name.

      Just rewind the video, or download it to your laptop, or ipad, there is an App called Beat Time, where you can download TH-cam videos to your device. and it can be looped, sped up, slowed down, transposed, loop markers set, export song in video or mp3 format.

    Jamal What if you dont have that vocabulary of chords lest say from a Regular C chord can you execute that same analogy or it doesn't work with regular 3 finger chords? Thank you in advance!

    Examples that are shown here is basic chords construction 101. And what is shown here is what we call suspended voicing. This is not a perfect fourth because more than two notes is considered a cord. But a perfect pair it’s only two notes

    I would say I'm a beginner to intermediate level gospel piano but I've seen many videos by Gospel musicians and basically I learnt to play wrong.     I think a shortcut formula shouldn’t be a substitute for understanding music theory and chords construction. Everything that a musician should do should be billed by a good theoretical structure

    Brother I have one complain.......... when you do tutorials, please slow down. You already know your chord runs. So, you get excited and just start play at your normal speed all these chord inversions and chord progressions after slowing down for a few moments to teach us a chord or two. But, we need to learn everything when you are on camera. The stuff you think that we may not need because you are focusing on something else is also as important to us. in those seconds that you play 5 chords quickly, we would love to learn those runs slowly too on a TH-cam video and not just on a paid lesson.
