Great video. I bought a Marantz 60DAB. I am in 5.1.2
I put my Dali oberon c1 Atmos in lateral. So on my left in height and on my right. In the options at the startup of Marantz I have to put what as configuration for my speakers Atmos? thank you for your help

I received my cinema 40.
It doesn't have the speaker configuration option to set the speakers to small.
It just doesn't exist on the list.
Any ideas why it's not on mine but it is on yours??.
Mine reads.

advanced.

Hello !I just ordered one for a 5.1 configuration, and plan to buy a 2nd sub. My question is : for a room in U shape with a 4.5 m depth in the center (7m on the sides and a 8m width, the wc are on the back of my sofa), would it be relevant to make in the future a 6 atmos configuration (with an obligation of an extra power amplifier), either a 5.2.6 configuration, or a 5.2.4 is enough ? I precise that the atmos will be in the ceiling. Thanks !

hey Zac, I have marantz 40 all set up , however just realized my surrounds are unlike rest of speakers are 6 ohms, there is explanation about ohms in owners manual page 42, however unsure if this settings for speakers with all 6 ohms or valid for me as well , i.e. mixed of ohms.

How do you switch to IMAX enhanced audio mode even with a compatible device and content? Is DTSX neural x the same thing as iMax enhanced? I'm using an Xbox series X with Disney Plus. Is it just not possible with streaming services?

If you have four subwoofers…. Do they all need to be same type / brand or does Dirac sort that that out?
Please do a real time test of the directional feature for the subs using 2 subs also. You do not need four subs to take advantage of this feature. The difference is incredible.

Excellent tutorial! I will admit I am a little overwhelmed with the Cinema 40. So many features. I will not pay extra for Dirac, for me Audessy will be good enough.
For many people the audessy is more than enough! It’s a solid calibration software. The dirac is just for taking it over the top. We will do a video for it soon to show the process and let you know if it makes that big of a difference. Thanks for watching!
How do I turn off the synchronization of the Marantz Cinema 40 with the TV? Usually I just want to listen to the sound of the TV and don't want to turn on the amplifier. But when I turn on the TV, the AV amplifier automatically turns on. Can you help me? I'll be grateful.
Are those HDMI cables with the little circle, do they face up, to see the colored circle?

Hi. I have an LG OLEDCX10 with "auto unit detection", SIMPLINK (hdmi-CEC) and Auto Power sync activated so when I power on the TV my Marantz Cinema 40 power up and via the trigger my NAD C275BEE running front speakers in set to on. Same thing when I turn off the tv, everything is shut down. Great but is there a way, a setting on the Marantz NOT telling the TV to power up if I only want to listen to music? I have read the manual several time and tested different settings but have not solved the "issue" yet
Christian, I just unboxed mine yesterday. So far I've been able to remotely turn on the Cinema 40 through the mobile remote app, and listen to Spotify with just the AVR on, but not the TV.

How does the Cinema 40 compare to the 50 in sound and power? Can you justify the extra $$$$ for sound and power alone?
Every review I've watched on 50 vs. 40 (if I could even find any) were very cagey on 50 vs. 40 sound. Even in this video he is very careful not to say that basically they sound the same! 13:38 he is talking about the Cinema 50, and notice how careful he is NOT to say how similar the sound of the 40 is vs. the 50. BOTH the 40 and 50 are "sound tuned". Save for speakers and get the 50 - that is what I did and don't regret it for a minute. Only get the 40 if you REALLY need 7 vs. 6 HDMI inputs, or one of the other inputs that the 50 lacks (but this is very unlikely).
@@paradoxicalcat7173 Couple differences I've noticed between the 40 and 50.. The 40 has an LED status screen and additional buttons, 40 has component video inputs, 40 has 15watts per channel more than the 50, 40 has 1 additional HDMI input, 40 has an additional zone, 40 has front panel ambient LED lighting, and it appears the 40 is made in Japan and the 50 is made in Vietnam. Of course the 40 costs $1k more than the 50 too.

Not a full setup guide, you skipped over Speaker Presets. I wanted to see that one.
Flagship = the best product in the line! For Marantz this would be the AV 10 and AMP 10. Not anything in the Cinema series
The title says flagship AVR (audio video receiver). The AV10 and AMP10 are the flagship separates meaning individual processor and amplifier vs an all in one unit. Hope that helps. Thanks for commenting!
