Great demos of what this amp is capable of. I've got a Betty combo that has become my main gigging amp over the last year. I need great clean tones and an amp that sounds fantastic with drive pedals-- the Betty was made for me!
I have a combo as well and is the best amp for use with drive pedals. The cabinet has a great big sound, not boxy like some other combos I’ve tried. I did swap the 65 Creamback for a 75 Creamback and really liked the change. Gave it a little more body and a little more control of the high end for my taste. The 65 Creamback also sounds great though. Becoming my favourite amp. Sounds great with all guitars, single coil or humbuckers.
WOW....I had NO idea how good that amp sounded. And, that amp pushed with a pedal sounds spectacular. Glad I watched this, or I never would've known how good of an amp this was. Very well done!
Unbelievable tones, nice work. This has sold me on the Synergy module as far as that goes (probably not as good, hopefully more than good enough though).
That les paul lead tone is just perfect. Great tasteful playing, reminds me of Charlie Starr (and that's high praise). Edit - also loved the strat tones, and expected it to be brighter and more scooped. It was really nice that it had more mids and warmth though.
Does the EQ respond like a Fender, where cranking the treble gets you more gain? Curious how it sounds cranked with high treble, presence and low to taste bass, especially with a Gibson. My favorite Fenders were all firebreathers with a Gibson.
Man, that sounds amazing- never thought about it but I guess research for something like building a new tube amp could be very expensive- these amps cost a small fortune, when you can find them. And I'm not talking about just this particular amp- you guys talk like you have a room full of these babies. Even the most basic, bottom end tube amps are out of my reach. Well- actually I just found the Kustom 5H mod- it's affordable, for now anyway. If don't move soon it won't be much longer. Once they're no longer made, they just start gaining value apparently. They're already up to like 200 bucks- I hear they went for about 100 new. But it's the best I can do for now so- get one and try to find a decent 5 watt speaker to build a cab. I wanted a higher end Celestion but I can't find any 5 watt Celestions. I guess I could go with a higher wattage but won't it sound underpowered?
Yeah for sure, the tube bill has been pretty brutal! No need to be concerned about underpowering a speaker really - the rating is the maximum power it can handle and not a reflection of its ideal operating range. E..g. there's no reason a 5W amp into a 25W Celestion can't sound superb. If the budget is tight a nice used one will do the job well.

Wow, that Betty sure takes off nice with a simple OD pedal. Outstanding speaker & cab selections. You showcased this amp in the best ways.

Not sure how successful it's been for Friedman seeing as they're known for high gain Marshall tones, but Betty is a fantastic amp indeed.
@@zenamplification I agree... It's strange that Friedman hans't marketed that amp a bit better. Great sounding amp though.
Nice to hear a few boutique amps that I'd never likely experience otherwise. The Tele's all sound so great.
Agreed, Tele's really are the workhorse guitar for so many styles.
Nice!!!❤

LT is a legend but the guy who he plays with on the full mix demo is a hell of a player!
That's our buddy Ryan ‘Tastee Licks’ Thomas, absolutely fantastic player!
It was nice to hear something other than pentatonic licks. Very melodic sounding.

Blackberry Smoke? Yeah I can hear that, he's great. And yes that Yaron through a good amp with someone like Ryan is just superb.

Seems pretty Marshally, but with more range.
Who knew one of the best Fender style amps out there was made by a company obsessed with Marshalls!
Not much into clean tones.....but that sounds heavenly.
Yep we love overdriven tones, but sometimes cleaning up your act is required!

They do have a room full of these amps. That backdrop isn't a greenscreen, those are amps in the room.
@@zenamplification Thanks- I appreciate the info. That simplifies things greatly.
I own one of these and damn, i hope i get to rent a rehersal room soon again - This amp is loud af 😅
What? Speak up!
