Built this and bingo it works. I am taking 10 Lts of water a day which when poured around the garden is very foamy will try reducing the air to reduce the foam/collection. Excellent.

Thanks for the video. I've just been building a similar device today and it's almost exactly like this! I'm using 110 mm drainage pipe rather than your 2". Also I put the airline in through a hole that I made in the side of the pipe. I've started with just a straight length of pipe in my moving bed with a plastic funnel on top and an airstone at the bottom. However I have bought a T-piece and a stop end in case I needed them. Is the T-piece at the top critical?
Im going to have a go at building this at the weekend. But I'm having difficulty tracking down a place to purchase the foldable silicone form. Can anyone please share a link? thank you in advance.

I only have a simple pond set up with a submerged pump and a black box filter--I have made up device very similar to this one- I have put it directly in the pond-and absolutely nothing is happening--there is a glugging noise from the outlet pipe but nothing coming out.
Hi does the airstone sit slightly outside of the pipe or does it have to be inside of the pipe. My 2 inch airstone is slightly bigger than the 2 inch pipe? Thanks
@@KoiChronicles Thanks. With regards to the silicon funnel. Is the small end of the funnel opening .6 and it stretches so that you can put a 1 inch hose snuggly? All the products online seem to have a .6 opening.
Made mine today but I only seem to get clear water drops and no foam...need to playa round with it a bit more I think. I seem to have air coming out of the t piece so many that’s the issue

Copied this exactly on my Easypod and nothing works. Have it exactly the same height, air stone 2cm from the bottom as in your video and if I turn the air up I get water squirting out and if I slowly reduce back until the water stops squirting, I can hear bubbling but no foam being produced. Very strange, my setup is identical and just not doing anything.
Could be same issue that affects marine skimmers... they take time to start working and won't skim if the water is already very clean or if chemicals etc are added that affect surface tension
