    I did something similar using polypropylene and 100 micron mesh. The first problem I had was the mesh soon clogged and because the water couldn't get through it overflowed. You maybe okay with 300 micron mesh and not have the same problem. Otherwise you will have to make the device so it's doesn't fill the whole space. You could make it 2 or 3 inches shorter and then if the mesh is clogged the water would just overflow down the gap. Time will tell. Keep up doing the videos. I always look forward to seeing them.

      Hi Phil and thanks for your input Sir. With the 300 microns I will be fine. Just wanted to get rid of the sponges mate. 👍🙏⛩️🈂️KC

    I thought the sponges added for more filtration and beneficial bacteria growth? (Im still trying to learn so excuse me if this is a stupid question)

    • @KoiChronicles
      @KoiChronicles  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To be far on this set-up the sponges was my mechanical filtration, as I have my bio media below it. So I've swapped mechanical for a new mechanical. Sponges will also hold bacteria as you say. Great question Madam. Thanks for dropping in on us! 👌🙏⛩🈂KC
