I am not sure the definition of 'light and fluffy' in this recipe... and I don't want to under-beat the egg-sugar mixture... many thanks... Edit: I rewatched the video several times, and I don't think the egg-sugar mixture needs to be beaten to ribbon stage... however, my original question was due to some failed attempts reported by some viewers here, hence I wonder... if the eggs-sugar mixture needs to be beaten longer (hence not very runny anymore). Mango or any fruit juice is acidic, I think a mix of baking powder and baking soda will fix the issue, I’ll try it and let you know if you are still interested ❤

I tried this recipe on 03/08/2024 . Cake not fluffy, sponge...... bottom (half) side is raw , very thick , not fluffy. I follow your all instructions..........but got bad result ......why 🤔. And taste bad, due to smell of raw egg 🤮🤢 . In the end of each video You should tell your audience some points like---- 1. Don't make these mistakes/ common mistake people do 2. Avoid these things 3 if you don't have these things, instead of you should use those things . Etc.
The process is wrong... Beat the egg white with sugar until fluffy.... Then add one by one the yolks.... Then add the other ingredients..... Then it will comes out soft
Switch the oil and milk for it... I will try my best tomorrow with the cake itself, today is just the butter process between oven and merge it into water with butter, wait 8h until it solidifies and I believe u to know the rest😂😂😂

Another way would be to beat the egg whites separately and fold them together later im pretty sure that way you get more air into the batter
