Got to admit at first a C5 looks intimidating to work on. But research and patience and you come to realize they are not that complex. Really digging into these videos to learn all I can. One major tool I need is a lift. BIG BIG help having a lift.
Heads up if you try to do the Oil Pressure Sensor change make sure the socket will fit in the spot before you unplug it. My Dad fought and finally got it unplugged and tried to get the socket in there to take the sensor out and it will not fit. There is a hose in the way and it's not a flexible line so no way to squeeze by it. Now he's stuck and can't get the pug snapped back on the sensor.
Are the carbon fiber flares better as far as installation vs fiberglass? I know fiberglass needs work but didn't know if the carbon fiber would need as much work.
Aren't the Carbon Creations still a lot lighter though? FWIW my friend with an '02 ZO6 ordered the same rear quarters and his comment was "After-market items suck!" 😉 Ultimately he gave up in fitting them and went to a high-end body shop. They are true pros and the fitment now exceeds factory. Man, I can't wait to see that Vette of your friend's totally painted AND with those new wheels! Save the Wave🙋🏼♂️
I think in previous videos he mentioned he was going without them, but a body shop could do cutouts for it. Maybe someone else said it, I can't recall.
Nice article but I don't think it is a good idea to put the fiberglass 1/4 panel on that baby crib. New fiberglass parts often have a lot of glass dust on them. Not good for a babies health nor ours. @@mycorvettelife my mother had a few vets. I never noticed. so they are generic like Shelby stripes🤷♂️good to know. I really never noticed. The carbon fenders where pretty cool even with the angle hair glass. Honestly if your not worried about weight, the glass make it more resilient adding ductility.
Good to see you back Chris still praying for you
Very Nice looking panels! That guy installing them is a fast worker. Sometimes aftermarket items are a box of chocolates. LoL
So good to see you back! Hoping 2020 starts to look up for you.
as a C5 owner your videos always helpful to me
thank you Chris
Thanks Chris for info on the carbon fiber panels.
Did they need the underside quarter panel rim cut down as not to rub the tires like mine needs??
Any updates on if they fixed the issue of them fitting properly?
What size wheel spacers I should go with when going rear wide body on my 1999 C5?

Thanks Chris. Keep going. You're making it just fine!
Thanks chris for the heads up on the fit and finish of those rear quarter panels👍
Good to see you back Chris!!
Ohhh shit! Mine actually come in tomorrow! Great timing
Nothing can stop Chris not even a bad fender fit!
Can you do a full video of his car and build??? Looks and sounds amazing
Awesome video bro! Always good fun and quality. Would love to someday meet up when everything gets better. Keep working hard brotha
Great vid Chris, thanks for the content!
Awesome 👍
Got a quote for around $400 from a local shop to install a set of the carbon zr1 style fenders. Thoughts?
Will these fit on c5 convertible
I had no idea those panels were that easy to remove, it’s too bad about the fit but glad they are working with you to fix it
I wish you was my neighbor had a stroke 9 years ago I can do that stuff anymore PT

Sounds nice!😎👍🏿
Like popcorn poppin😋

They are the same. The carbon ones are also fiberglass. It’s just carbon overlay.

I almost bought those Forgestar m14's for my C6z. That step lip 2 piece is a killer look on vettes. Not sure why they're not more popular.
I’m sure I missed this but what’s the deal with the RX-7? Yours?
A friends car. Been working on various things.
What’s the gas door made of ?
Man I hope mine don't have too issues with fitment. I also didn't get the tpe style. 🤞🏾
That carbon fiber looks so sick. Great video.
What do you do with the marker light that no longer has a place on the new quarter?
I think in previous videos he mentioned he was going without them, but a body shop could do cutouts for it. Maybe someone else said it, I can't recall.
Just tied it up behind the panel. Not required in AZ.
Chris . Sounds like you get to do it all over again. Hope the new ones fit better,
Corvette creations is just the middle man they don't actually make them extreme dimensions actually makes them
Manufactured in China
Anyone have old school fast 78 intake for sale?
That FD😍
Any chance you can do a C8 review?
It already wrecked or not yet? It's so beautiful!
What? No it’s not wrecked.
@@mycorvettelife because the torsion. I thought that but I'm glad that its no happened (sorry, my english is bad).
Killer video...
Man do you ever work fast! LOL

If you got these parts from carbon creations or carid or something like them; they almost always get fitment atrociously wrong.
Carbon fiber overlay? Well then that's stupid.... lol

When I was an adjuster they used to say "a good fiberglass repairman doesn't live that long"
That’s why I had it on a blanket, but whatever. 🙄
My Corvette Life I enjoy you series, safety first.
Shipping parts that don't fit and with no quality control isn't stepping up.
Chopped Matted fiberglass is the least strength of any fiber glass and is heavy
Never use after market body panels....will never fit like OEM!
If you want custom you have no choice!
Procharged with stock brakes and rotors smh
Seems like a crappy product.
What’s up with the Mopar stripes on your chubby 🤷♂️
Lol, Corvettes have had them since 1963.
