Hi, no, quite the contrary...I understand why you ask based on my previous comment, though...let's just say that my interpretation of the teachings and pointers attributed to Jesus most likely differ from a more common mainstream interpretation. I can assure you, wholeheartedly, that my advice to you is sound, having applied it to my own life. I'm as broken as they come in many ways, but I've found true, honest to goodness healing by applying those simple techniques constantly, every day, every moment I remember too. Take attention from what is unreal (thoughts, fantasies, past or future events, etc.) And apply attention to the only sure reality, that you exist, that you "are". I believe Jesus said "be still and know that 'I am' God". He was saying that "I am" is the place where God dwells within all of us.

I had not heard of the Jesus Prayer as a Catholic, but using it helps prayer immensely. Not only is it potent as a prayer in and of itself, but its repetitive nature serves as a sort of "mantra" to meditate on anything: mysteries of the Rosary, stations of the Cross, personal prayers. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Father Lazarus.
yes the Roman Catholics MONKS often pray Jesus Prayer on these orthodox prayer rope. I was in Poland last year, stayed a day in men monastery in Krakow, and received (chotki) a prayer rope with a book about Jesus Prayer. One of the monk says they do practice daily the prayer and its common in monasteries. I believe rosary is more popular amongs lay peope and generally around nuns too.

Yes, I saw it just now. I have also heard a little about St. Therese of Lisieux and could appreciate that one could learn from her writings. Would anyone know the story behind the icon of St. Therese in the cave? I am continuously wondering about the apostolic churches and what it means for all apostolic churches to allegedly have Saints, for example, the implications of what is the "True Church" in light of the many Saints and miracles in all three branches (Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Oriental/Afro-Asiatic Orthodox). I have been impacted by Roman Catholic Saints like St. Therese of Lisieux, Padre Pio, & St. Francis, and also Eastern Orthodox Saints like St. Paisios, St. Theophan and St. Nectarios. Somehow I wish for unity among the churches, although it is not possible.

I have found the cave inside myself...where i always was, i am in this world, but not of this world, i do not feel part of this world.. and although i had a family, ( now my kids are grown up) i gave my life to Jesus when i was young.
But i have always belonged to Him and to that cave, and in this cave is the only place i find solace in my Saviour Jesus Christ. I had the desire to physically also live in a cave physically because it would be the total fulfillment of my communion with my Lord. I still have the longing, and if it would please Him to one day give me that fulfillment, then i would know that it would be His doing.

13:30........When very deep in prayer and feeling true oneness with God, I to hear voices and also have come to the conclusion that they are demonic attempts to distract me away from God. Though they are often successful, they also acknowledge to me that I am on the "right path" and that the spiritual intimacy I'm experiencing is for real and a threat to the powers of darkness.

This is a great series and well made, but the watermark over the video is extremely disorienting and totally unnecessary.
Its a tune by a Serbian artist called Bora Dugic. I think the tune is from a song called Zaydi zaydi.

Question is how much people do you need around you to love.

So so true. I have had the blessings of knowing a hermit here from Spencer Massachusetts. He had to have special permission from his! Abbott to live separately. He also said Mass with his brothers but mostly he did mass at is Hermitage and made trappist! jams to help out his community of Brothers. My husband and I belonged to a lay cistercians cloistered nuns here in Wrentham Massachusetts, and periodically he would come and have talks with permission from is Abbott of course and I had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times God Rest his soul. One time we had the most wonderful conversation.. it's engraved in my soul. I said father Eddie I don't know why people some of my Protestant friends have a problem with purgatory or Mary for that matter.. of course Purgatory is only a state of being purified until we see our Lord we must be brilliant and shine until we see him. My patron saint saint faustina prayed for the souls in purgatory and I always do ..
He had the most amazing sense of humor.. he laughed and he said my dearest Terrie of course of course if we both end up in purgatory that's a good thing and he's laughing some more.. and points his thumb up the only way to go is up and it's a good thing and we are laughing and laughing as long as we don't end up in he other place".. meaning hell.. exactly father Eddie that's what I tell people.
