My first ever mosh pit was warped tour 2018 I moshed with my 6'4 300 lbs friend to stitch by wage war (you should check it out) we started the mosh pit bc we both never moshed before The second time I moshed was about a month later to Famous Last Words and I went home with a black eye that lasted 2-3 weeks. It was worth it!
lucky bastard lol. I put mine in my pocket these days. Had mine hit the floor of the moshpit during BMTH one time, only the friendly giant of the pit helped me get em, holding back the entire thing so i could pick em up with my blind ass eyesight. Turned out i went to primary school with the dude and hadnt seen him since. Worlds small, man.
Going up and down the scale with the same bass note was even used in classical music. In metalcore its generally overused to such an extend that almost every metalcore song uses it here or there
I mean it's common thing in Metalcore music. Though this isnt as blatant as Knives and pens from Black veil Brides that one is basically just the Unholy confessions riff.
Just a background for Alex if he checks this out, which is totally up to him! The lead singer for As I Lay Dying tried getting a hitman to kill his wife in front of his children, he spent 3 years in prison and after getting out of prison he apologized and wants to recreate the band with new members.
Ankosow 94 damn, you're right I just looked further into it. I do find it amazing how hard they condemned him for his actions just a few years ago but have now rejoined the band.
I love this, I'm a metal head and I'm super stoked to see someone who comes from different musical backgrounds at least checking out our genre. It's not all about satan and worshiping the devil and shit. Love your content bro 🤘🤘
not my story, but my high school dean's: He was at a show and in the middle of a mosh pit, when he accidentally kicks someone in the face... when he looked over to make sure the guy was fine, it was one of his students
This is how i introduced my dad to Pantera. He referred to them as that screaming band and halfway through he was like who is this this is good and I almost laughed at his face when I told him who it was
The first time I saw Sevendust the crowd pushed into the mosh pit so hard my feet came almost 2 feet off the ground because of the collision. To put that in perspective, I am 6 foot 7 275 pounds and I was completely helpless, absolute riot!!!
The first mosh pit I was in was during a Beartooth set. Got knocked down on my hands and knees 5 seconds into the first song. People immediately surrounded me, picked me up, and made sure I was okay. Just goes to show how cool the metal community is. I moshed hard and crowd surfed 8 times that night. Now I like to go and pick people up in the pit. You should react to some of these: Periphery - Scarlet or Make Total Destroy Thy Art Is Murder - Reign of Darkness or Holy War Oceans Ate Alaska - Vultures and Sharks, The Escapist, or Blood Brothers
Its so weird to see whats considered metal these days. When I was in school and probably because where I live bands like mastodon, five finger death punch, trivium, and slipknot were considered metal and bands like BMTH, Asking Alexandria, crown the empire were considered scremo. not that I'm hating because I like all music, just interesting how things change.
Speaking as a huge BMTH fan I think ANY OTHER track on sempiternal besides shadow moses would be a good way to start out with that band. (Just my opinion)
Love it! The picture in your thumbnail has the wrong singer in it though. Danny, the guy singing in the video you watched isn’t in the thumbnail picture. (He left the band for a year or so)
Your insight at 04:08 is exactly what I think every beginning-metalhead feels tbh. And what every music-listener will feel, assuming they have guidance on how to ease them into it and they start learning the ways of the genre.
Asking Alexandria. Someone somewhere Asking Alexandria. Room 138 Asking Alexandria. Rise up Asking Alexandria. The prophecy These are some good ones to get you on
Asking Alexandra was one of my go to bands when I was like 16. Think Alex would enjoy a band like Shattered Skies. I recommend their song The End and the Rebirth
Mosh pit story: so when I was 16 Rise Against and A Day To Remember we’re touring together, basically shit was getting crazy- which was awesome bc neither band is particularly hard. Anyway I was moshing during Rise Against’s set and suddenly a t-shirt lands in my hand, not even a second later I’m colliding heads with some dude and next thing I know my nose is pouring blood, it’s obviously broken so I start using the random shirt to try and soak up the blood as I walk to the bathroom. When I get to the bathroom my shits all crooked but my adrenaline is still pumping like crazy so I just reset my nose myself (it’s still slightly crooked to this day) then go back to the crowd, crowd surf to where all of my friends are and continue on like nothing happened. I’ve been to a lot of concerts but this one was by far the best
Cameron Archer that is true about their new stuff but they still put on a great show. It was also like four years ago so the set list was mostly older stuff with a little bit of Endgame thrown in
I got the chance to mosh on stage with Asking Alexandria. He said "this is not my f****** stage, this is your f****** stage! Get on your F****** stage" there were like 4 security guards, that got thrown into the crowd as we were rushing the stage to mosh with the band.
This music was my era growing up in middle school and highschool.. this shit is so iconic . Breakdowns, growls , synth and piano, all mashed together will always bring me back to highschool especially . I went to so many crazy fuckin shows . Broke my orbital bone , broke my nose , and twisted my ankle like 50 times going into pits . Such a fun time in my life. This kind of music has definitely gone out of popularity but I’ll always love it . I’ll never forget first hearing this band either .. shit blew my fuckin mind
Greatest mosh pit story is when I launched a fellow person into the opposite wall of the pit and it KOd this guy. He got hit in the jaw with an elbow it was a slayer show what did you expect.
I know I'm a little late on this but my first mosh pit was at the Vans Warped Tour 2010 and I was so hype to see a metal band play that I ran to the first stage my eyes could see. Then my best friend Tyler and I we at the edge of what I learned was a mosh pit and he kept egging me to go in and after the 3rd time he just pushed me in and a new side of me I never knew existed came raging out. That's when I learned about a band called The Word Alive. Also AA has been one of my top favorite bands. REACT TO: Walking In My Shoes by The Fever 333
I suggest looking into Asking Alexandria's song "Into the Fire". it is a more grown up style that i think you would very much appreciate. the guitar is still awesome but Danny has toned down his screams and changed up his singer almost entirely
Chaos in Fallout I only think old asking alexandrias guitar is way worse than it is now. That being sad, his cleans now are incredible, but I wish he still had his old scream tone
A 5 foot 8 61 year old man clothes line my 6 foot 1 buddy during a mosh pit and knock him out and told him and I quote " don't bring that pu**y a** sh*t in my mosh pit son" me and my buddy's still go to concerts with the old man and this happened about 6 years ago the kicker is that it was an asking alexandria concert and they were playing "hey there Mr.Brooks" I highly suggest that song btw
I was there at that concert, that was the small stage they played on. The main stage was on the other side of the venue that Pappa Roach, Five Finger Death Punch & Limp Bizkit played on. AA did play the Hell outta there set tho!!!!

Or maybe Nemesis or No More Regrets, I just say No More Regrets because he seems to always be impressed by flashy guitar solos (nothing wrong with that) but honestly you can't really go wrong with Arch enemy, Angela or Alissa.
My mosh pit story - while she sleeps at Reading festival last year. They played the intro to "this is the six" (pls react to this, another British metalcore band you might like), and just within that 10 second intro I had gone from the left side of the stage all the way to the right. A mosh pit is a great way to get from A to B. I timed my entry so well that I was able to evade every push and shove around me in the mosh pit and went from 20 rows back to second row. So worth it.
His face at 7:05 is hilarious. And dude mosh pits are the best. As long as people aren’t douchey, if someone falls everyone picks them up. It’s like a family letting all their emotions out it’s an amazing feeling for sure
React to their newest video Alone in a room by Asking Alexandria, then into the fire by Asking Alexandria. Like this if you agree if he should react to this next.
I was at a show one time slam dancing and the lead singer of spite said "find someone and take them the f*** out". At a chelsea grin show o saw 2 people get knocked out cold. And slughter to prevail still holds the scariest pit ive ever been in and seen to their song called hell.
Mosh pit story, during a concert I attended for a band called After the Burial, the song Lost in the Static came on and i saw the people get stepped on and a dude had his leg snapped in half. Such a heavy badass song
Welcome to the Asking Alexandria Family man. I am definitely a constant member of the family and I will always be part of this family. Next up, I suggest Asking Alexandria - The Final Episode, Room 138, Empire, A Lesson Never Learned, Circled By The Wolves. Black Veil Brides - Lost It All, Wake Up, When They Call My Name. Peirce The Veil - King For A Day, Bulls In The Bronx. Bring Me The Horizon - Happy Song, True Friends, Drown, Can You Feel My Heart. Falling In Reverse - I'm Not A Vampire, Good Girls Bad Guys, Drug In Me Is You, Pick Up The Phone, Tragic Magic, Raised By Wolves. Hope you enjoy these songs

OMG thats the best line ive ever heard i hope Danny hears that one lol
I love how he reacts to an old AA song with Danny literally in the music video as the lead vocalist but puts a band pic with Dennis lol 😂
That's literally what I said 😂😂😂
AHAHHAHAAH
Lmao 🤣
They all looked the same at one point with the side bang swoop
The fact that he used a picture of band with Denis for thumbnail makes me really uncomfortable

She was a nimpho, dude. You should have nailed that.
Mosh pit story:
I've been in hundreds of mosh pits wearing my glasses and they haven't been knocked off of my face a single time
Same & wall of deaths 🤷♀️
When I violent dancing sometimes my glass run away from me 👀
I've been in plenty and I've had em knocked off maybe 5 or 6 times. It all depends I guess.

Ankosow 94 it’s the original lineup pre Tim’s jail time

As I Lay Dying - My Own Grave. It's their first new song in years and they are an infinitely better metalcore band than Asking Alexandria.
Daniel Godfrey like every other Core Band aswell, i saw them Opening for Parkway Drive last Year and it was just awful. They got booed
I've been try to get him to listen to Parallels by them
Daniel Godfrey yus

React to Square Hammer by Ghost. They are a modern band, but they have a very classic 80s rock sound.

As I Lay Dying : My Own Grave and do the normal research the song has quite a lot of the emotion and purpose you’re looking for a metal song
You should listen to Moving On or Someone Somewhere by Asking Alexandria
Nightwish - Ghost Love Score (Wacken)
Epica - Consign to Oblivion (Zenith)
Amorphis - The Bee
Parkway drive - bottom feeder
Your insight at 04:08 is exactly what I think every beginning-metalhead feels tbh. And what every music-listener will feel, assuming they have guidance on how to ease them into it and they start learning the ways of the genre.

Falling In Reverse - I'm Not A Vampire, Good Girls Bad Guys, Drug In Me Is You, Pick Up The Phone, Tragic Magic, Raised By Wolves. Hope you enjoy these songs
