I think a big part about the controversy about Avenged Sevenfold is always that they grew up playing Metal in a Punk/Hardcore scene and the loud part of the metal fans are elitists and since Avenged hang out with a lot of Punk and Hardcore bands they're not "true". And the Punk/Hardcore kids on the other hand just don't want to get involved with all the drama. The there are some people who don't like M. Shaddows' voice. And then there are the idiots who are jelous of Synyster Gates' guitar skill and can't admit that he's one of the best guitarists ever and so they just hate on them.
Synyster... great but not even close to being one of the best ever. For the love of Rosemary's Baby...stop being biased because you are hardcore 7X fanboys/Girls.
I really didn't know about any drama, I just like what I like and that's usually in the punk/hardcore area. I also like Manson and Soundgarden and he hates them and grunge but am I not going to listen to them anymore after finding out? no, because it really doesn't fucking matter ^^
Toxxed Gaming I just heard and watched this song for the first time and you're right! Damn good video that really makes you think! Killer tune too! I especially loved the drum work in this one! 🤘🤘🤘
Was great to hear them play it live again when I saw them a year ago in May at Carolina Rebellion. Had seen them 2 or 3 times before that and they hadn't played it. And yeah, he definitely should react to it with Sarah. :)
It's in the intro as well, and it's one reason why I love this song so much, because they put melodies from some of their other tracks in here as well. EDIT: I thought you meant 4:04 in the song, not the video. My bad. LOL
Stefanos Paralikidis or blinded in chains, reminissions, chapter four, radiant eclips, clairvoyant disease, and all things will end... the whole album. Probably their best album Waking the Fallen.
Fear of the Dark (Live Rock in Rio) - Iron Maiden Vermillion & Vermillion Pt. 2 - Slipknot Three songs you must listen to. Fear of the Dark is a metalhead must.
Baz Ferreira There are so many other bands out their, but it is nice to see more songs from a band. You can’t just listen to their most popular songs and move on. You have to dive into a band if you like it. We are helping Alex becoming a real Slipknot fan. He likes Slipknot so we are going to show him more.
second to Fear of the dark Alex you have to imagine that at a concert, or even in clubs everyone just get's silent and devotional (not sure if this is the right word) when the intro starts you just NEED to know this song €: Bonus information: i'm pretty sure FoodIt3ms revers to the 2013 live Rio version of Fear Of The Dark
Necro'ing this topic, but I think the biggest thing is, when a band becomes popular or well respected for a specific style and then completely change their sound to become commercially viable.. I feel like A7X gets a pass for a few reasons.. A. They always had the goal to become main stream. B. They started metal core, but didn't really become well known or respected until they switched to a classic metal sound, in which they ended up with a unique sound, after which besides some change up's, they've always had their brand of metal. Artist such as metallica doing a complete 180 in the 90's then claiming that "they were always alternative", is complete shit... 5FDP, had an amazing 1st album, at least on my opinion, then completely switched it up to become commercially viable, is crap(I do support them to a degree still)...
At 60 years old and having seen most of the biggest bands in the rock world l was blown away when l fiirst heard A7X . This was their album 'City of evil' which had been released a year or so earlier. I have followed their career ever since and love em or hate em you can't ignore the effort these guys put into their songwriting and live performances. They are forever improving their craft pushing beyond their current abilities and exploring new areas of music. They are great to their fans unlike a lot of bands l have met in my time. They truly deserve their 'Download headliners' status. I actually said to my friend in 2006 while trying to get him to listen to something other than Zeppelin and Sabbath that these guys would headline Donington one day. He said they'd be flash in the pan and the day they headline Donington he would buy all their albums and get into them for real. Big fan now and grateful for my persistence. Great reaction Alex. You'll be getting a 'deathbat' tatt before long !
There is NO SUBSTITUTE FOR AVENGED SEVENFOLD. By far the most most technical guitar riffs I’ve ever heard from Synister G. N Co. Zach playing next to him on rhythm is priceless. They deserve all the credit in the world for such a masterpiece of a track. They always grip my soul and squeeze lithe shiit out of it!!!!!!
A lot of their stuff is extremely technical. Just because one band is technical doesn't mean another isn't. By that logic everything is simple to play because it isn't some techdeath mathcore or smth.@@Heroo01
fellogoodfella Got mixed feelings about this. I mean, personally, I would say that deftones have different "faces", they've been through some sound changes throughout the time, you know. Passenger is not having the same vibe as Adrenaline or ATF, but definitely it's a good introduction for the White Pony album, my opinion
The reason why it's "commercially successful" is because it's great music. If it was commercial shit, it wouldn't last. 1-2 yrs for bullshit. A7X is the whole deal. AMAZING drums/lyrics/music from the Rev. Amazing vocals/guitars
the song would last for no longer than 3 minutes and it'd be about guns drugs and women with no creativity with the only thing making it popular being everything but the vocals
I mean, this album literally went to number 1 on billboard, taking Recovery's Spot. It stayed on the billboard chart for weeks actually. Nightmare went platinum last year as well. So in a technical sense, they are commercially successful.
There’s a reason they’re commercially successful...they write great songs and they’re stellar musicians. By far the best song I’ve ever seen live, without doubt.
Haven't seen a single comment about this one but hundreds for A Little Piece of Heaven (with your GF) :o Should definitely be the next A7X song :) Done btw! :D
Isn't it a trip? It's such a trip! I remember first time I heard it I was so mad at myself I hadn't heard it before. How could I miss it. Still listening to it on repeat.
The Stage is an odd video... There's nothing in it that's controversial or anything but I still couldn't really finish watching it... The song is great though
Please Alex hear me out bro !!! All of A7x fans would really love "A little piece of heaven" reaction video with your GF !!! So eager for it bro !!! It wont be complete for us without it !! Please!!!!!
I have not seen that amount of people requesting this song. I've seen A little piece of heaven, tbh. I don't mind, it's still A7X and this song is also a killer so it's fine! But I'd heavily suggest you react to Exist. It's the kind of song you love both instrumental (a lot) and makes you have thoughts in the end of it. Also, ABR and Demon Hunter! >_< I'm trying not to just spam the name of a band and song *cough* but leaving a new thoughtful comment each time.
So many good Demon Hunter songs: Fading Away, Sixteen, Coffin Builder, Beauty Through the Eyes of a Predator, I am a Stone, Undying. It's hard to pick a favorite album much less a song, you know?
f7f8e392704bb9 I listen to Gavin all the time but didn't realize he made this collaboration with Aviators, now I have something else to play to death lqtm.
I have it as tier 2 in my spotify. Last one Alive is one of my favorites I guess. The only thing I don't like is that the chorus does not have the base with double pedal. Besides that, the song is great imo.
Your comment at the end was spot on how I feel! I feel like my heart takes on the beat of the drums of every A7X song...which, as a nurse, can't be healthy!!!! BUT I LOVE IT!!!
This is a little list of songs you can react : Avenged sevenfold : So far away Powerwolf : Murder at Midnight Pantera : Cemetery Gates Lost society : Thrash all Over you Super cool video and song, love you
I know this is an older reaction but damn... !!! I had to come back and comment on this one. One of my favorite bands. This song reminds me of a love I lost last year. I miss you Randy and will always love you 💜 A7X is a killer band. RIP Rev. So many memories. Thank you Alex for this. Love your channel!
This is my favorite song off this album. Mike Portnoy did an outstanding job filling in for the Rev and putting in his own progressive metal signature to it. That's what makes it so great to me.
I’m 30, avenged sevenfold has been with me since middle school when I just look toward the aesthetic of music and the voice and not really paying attention to lyrics. Loving your reactions. This band evolves each Cd.
This is my favorite song from Avenged. Every time I hear it, I just blast it loud. You think It's amazing on video. When they played it live back in 2016 I damn near lost it. It's one of the few songs that I can play on my bass, but it also holds a lot of emotions for me. I also love your reaction videos.
Brompton Cocktail is a very underrated song one of my favorites from the self titled album but my 2 all time favorite is the I Won’t See You Tonight 1-2 combo
If I heard correctly they said it was described as it being THEIR stairway. As in their technical, emotional masterpiece. I can get on board with that, even though there are a couple songs I prefer to Buried alive.
Please react to something by Deftones. Anything, but these are a great place to start: Back to School, My Own Summer (Shove It), Diamond Eyes, Rocket Skates, Knife Prty, Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away), Headup (ft. Max Cavalera from old Sepultura, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, etc, etc, etc), and my all-time favorite song Passenger (ft. Maynard James Keenan from Tool)
Dude, I’ve been watching a lot of these videos of you today. First time seeing your videos. You seem like you’d be a cool dude to hang with and also very glad to see that metal has opened your eyes to a whole different side of musicianship. Welcome aboard! 🤘
Dunno why but whenever the song that Alex reacts to is at a really soft and slow part such as the beginning of this song, Alex is just banging his head at like 5 times the tempo and it just irks me. It shouldn’t but it does
Hey everyones entitled to their opinion. I personally grew up with them as one of the bands i enjoyed, Hail to the king i wasn't an album that i was a fan of but i wouldn't go as far to say that they suck. I actually like their newer album You can be critical and not like something but a comment like yours is just salt dude.
Defiantly one of my all-time fav A7X songs. Love the shift in tone halfway through. Not to mention the lyric video is killer. If this is what the afterlife looks like, I wouldn't mind. lol
im seeing alot of good A7X song requests, but i would like to see you reacted to something old school, something like Unholy Confessions or better yet Darkness Surrounding !
I wouldn’t recommend anything off Sounding the Seventh Trumpet to anyone except for A7X diehards. Except for maybe Streets and Warmness on the Soul. Warmness is kinda cheesy though. Still love it.
This is definitely one of my favorite songs by them. Also i totally agree with your take on their songs. They give me a lot of energy always the best for working out and i always listened before my hockey games
True I've been listening to metal since my childhood and I love them.
He is an incredibly skilled and technical soloist. Not my fav guitarist but undeniable talent
Synyster... great but not even close to being one of the best ever.
For the love of Rosemary's Baby...stop being biased because you are hardcore 7X fanboys/Girls.
I really didn't know about any drama, I just like what I like and that's usually in the punk/hardcore area. I also like Manson and Soundgarden and he hates them and grunge but am I not going to listen to them anymore after finding out? no, because it really doesn't fucking matter ^^
synyster gates uses extremly hard techniques which are very hard to learn and did you know that he is a very good country player ?
Syns solos are so clean even live they sound clear as hell
you can tell he plans all his solos out
This song was written by jimmy the drummer that passed away and one of his last songs he wrote
foREVer R.I.P. Jimmy "the rev" Sullivan.
No he did not
Never mind he did love you rev
@@christiangrantham521 props to you bro for admitting a mistake on the internet
Jimmy will be missed.
People who don't like Avenged Sevenfold are just jealous of their success. Will always love A7X.
Agreed, people just cant accept the fact they are one of the most successful bands of this generation.
🤘🤘
That's the only thing I can think of.... listen to literally any A7X song and tell me what there is to hate! You Can't!!
I Stan Monsta X accept for now, they fell off to me
Or you know, people just don't like the band. It has nothing to do with jealousy.
A7X - The Stage. Its from their newest album and its an amazing song you have to listen to it, need more sevenfold up in this channel.
eduardo vargas x2
Official video! Best metal band music video around imo
eduardo vargas That whole album is badass.
Toxxed Gaming I just heard and watched this song for the first time and you're right! Damn good video that really makes you think! Killer tune too! I especially loved the drum work in this one! 🤘🤘🤘
That is my favorite ever Avenged Sevenfold song and the music video was incredible
A little piece of heaven (with your gf)
Haha! We don't want to get him in trouble. But I would LOVE to see 2 reactions for one very effed up video.
YES
Yes
Yes please¡
Was great to hear them play it live again when I saw them a year ago in May at Carolina Rebellion. Had seen them 2 or 3 times before that and they hadn't played it. And yeah, he definitely should react to it with Sarah. :)
Alex! A Little Piece of Heaven with Sarah! Come on maaan
andrew beatty Yup, they have to react to this together 😂
Cmonnn we have asked little piece of heaven more that buried alive o.o
totally
Count me in
yes i said this last vid yes they need to react to this
4:04 you can hear the same melody as "So far away" and damn that shit hurts me so bad. But I love it.
I had just finished listening to “So far away” before this vid. When I heard that riff, I had a cold chill go down my spine and goosebumps. 🖤
Me too bro😍😍😍
It's in the intro as well, and it's one reason why I love this song so much, because they put melodies from some of their other tracks in here as well. EDIT: I thought you meant 4:04 in the song, not the video. My bad. LOL
Bro I just watched his reaction for so far away 😢
EDIT: I didn't check the timestamp, but I'm really glad someone else noticed it! I noticed it on my first listen of the song a few years back.
Why is Nobody requesting "second Heartbeat" by Avenged Sevenfold? Favorite by Them
Moin Moin people only know coe to the stage
I love the solo of Second Heartbeat soooo much. One of my all time favourites
I'd really like to watch him react to Eternal Rest or And all things will end
Stefanos Paralikidis or blinded in chains, reminissions, chapter four, radiant eclips, clairvoyant disease, and all things will end... the whole album. Probably their best album Waking the Fallen.
waking the fallen is literally their best album
Fear of the Dark (Live Rock in Rio) - Iron Maiden
Vermillion & Vermillion Pt. 2 - Slipknot

I’m tired of hearing the “commercially successful” cliche. How else do bands make it if they don’t produce music that people want to hear.
The issue is in finding success early through your own style of music and then changing that style to appeal to the masses
@@BongRipski What about if that is what you want to do? If you don't it, you are doing it just to appeal other masse

It’s like nickelback people hate them because of how successful they were and that their songs were on the radio constantly

Heather Jay let’s not scare him away now lol
YES AVENGED SEVENFOLD, GREAT CHOICE ALEX THIS SONG IS AMAZING!!!!!! And Alex, I love how much energy you have it lifts my spirits, never change!!!
Gunslinger is one of the most underrated A7X songs... you'd like that one too.
YES YES!!!!! Please react to that :)
Gunslinger is probably in my top 5 from A7X, and I've been a fan since Sounding the Seventh Trumpet.
Sidewinder likes this...
I LOVE GUNSLINGERRRR!!!
It’s not underrated it’s just that it sound like a ford f-150 ads
I recommend you "A little Piece of heaven" and "M.I.A"
Samuel Nascimento M.I.A!!!!!!!!!
A Little Piece of Heaven video might be a bit much for showing hahaha but definitely my most favorite A7X song.
MIA is so underrated
For me M.I.A is overrated
The solo in M.I.A. ❤❤❤
A little piece of heaven with Sarah sounds dope
Kristopher Wasnidge I bump this

YES! The song is so much different than anything else they have, in a good way!
Spagettivuoka Also the storyline is... well... Interesting
its Graaze YES!
How about he reacts to some other bands too. Same with slipknot..
I honestly though A little piece of heaven was more of their "Stairway" than any of there other stuff

DEFTONES - Passenger.. The voices of Chino (of Deftones) and Maynard (of Tool) blend so well together
Vladi Catuna ❤❤❤❤

Thats a good song, and one of my favorites from deftones but it is a terrible intro song to deftones.
fellogoodfella Got mixed feelings about this. I mean, personally, I would say that deftones have different "faces", they've been through some sound changes throughout the time, you know. Passenger is not having the same vibe as Adrenaline or ATF, but definitely it's a good introduction for the White Pony album, my opinion
Please... Play.. A Little Piece Of Heaven AVENGED SEVENFOLD😘
That one will freak him out. He should def listen to it...lol
I would love to see that so much!!!
Yeesssssss!!
Head first into the deep end, I love it 😈😈
I only show that video to people when I can see their reaction. Immediately they question my well being.
The reason why it's "commercially successful" is because it's great music. If it was commercial shit, it wouldn't last. 1-2 yrs for bullshit. A7X is the whole deal. AMAZING drums/lyrics/music from the Rev. Amazing vocals/guitars

So far away is the saddest song on the earth you have to listen to it its dedicated to their dead drummer The Rev. you WILL cry
ToneZZ saddest song on Earth? Try Daddy from Korn
My King, its dedicated do Sinyster's Grandpa I Guess... Maybe Im Fuckin Crazy And Wrong!! HAIL TO THE KINGS!! 🙏🤘🔯🌟🔯🤘🙏
Diesel 33 i believe it was originally meant for his grandpa, but then the rev died so they dedicated it to him
Saddest song ever is Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton, that’s just fact, but So Far Away is still a very sad song

Buried alive is too good Alex. Do the stage of this band please. Or actually any other song from this band to be honest.
The Stage is an odd video... There's nothing in it that's controversial or anything but I still couldn't really finish watching it... The song is great though
true. It's not controversial. It's just another take on current world situation. A little piece of heaven would be a far more controversial stuff.
Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name Of

It's also a bomb track 😂
A7x-not ready to die

YOU MUST REACT TO AVENGED SEVENFOLD - THE STAGE OR BAT COUNTRY
Ghost - Cirice!
Nicholas Herman I think he already did that
Cheeser He did Square Hammer, that's the only one from Ghost he's done so far. :)
Nicholas Herman oh, my mistake
Should do Beast and the Harlot. Cause its hype af.
Hell yeah! A7X! Please react to “A Little Piece of Heaven” by Avenged Sevenfold
Trivium Silence in the Snow!!!
More sevenfold!! Bat country pllleease
Alex Barie Yessssss!!!
Reacting to my favorite band ever. God bless you Alex. You’ve earned my sub and likes.
same
No wonder why I still love this song since the first time Avenged announced it
Brompton Cocktail is a very underrated song one of my favorites from the self titled album but my 2 all time favorite is the I Won’t See You Tonight 1-2 combo
FIRE FROM THE GODS!!! Come on Alex
They compared it to stairway. I think the more fair comparison would be metallica - one, and pantera - cemetery gates.
But both of those can be compared to Stairway. Stairway may seem "mild" now, but imagine listening to it when it was new.
If I heard correctly they said it was described as it being THEIR stairway. As in their technical, emotional masterpiece. I can get on board with that, even though there are a couple songs I prefer to Buried alive.
I think they mean in the sense that the whole song changes into a “different” song, like stairway
You got it confused bud they weren’t comparing
Please react to something by Deftones. Anything, but these are a great place to start: Back to School, My Own Summer (Shove It), Diamond Eyes, Rocket Skates, Knife Prty, Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away), Headup (ft. Max Cavalera from old Sepultura, Soulfly, Cavalera Conspiracy, etc, etc, etc), and my all-time favorite song Passenger (ft. Maynard James Keenan from Tool)
This is one of their most underrated songs. It is fantastic live
Dio- Holy Diver
Dude, I’ve been watching a lot of these videos of you today. First time seeing your videos. You seem like you’d be a cool dude to hang with and also very glad to see that metal has opened your eyes to a whole different side of musicianship. Welcome aboard! 🤘
Dunno why but whenever the song that Alex reacts to is at a really soft and slow part such as the beginning of this song, Alex is just banging his head at like 5 times the tempo and it just irks me. It shouldn’t but it does
King Scrobble I was thinking the same thing. Alex is so hyped about it i don't think he can help it.
Lol, he is learning how to headbang bro, give him some time.
He is banging always at 4x, at least is not random headbanging
You can't headbang to A7X. They suck.
If this is what the afterlife looks like, I wouldn't mind. lol
Bruh vermillion pt1 and 2 by slipknot!!
This so much. I've suggested this loads. If he did a double dip but in ONE vid where he reacts to both that would be fucking sick.
christian almli that would be tight af
Vermillion Part 1 is arguably their best song imo
Well put, the energy of their songs is extremely contagious, ESPECIALLY when they change tempos like that. So amazing 🤩
Ne Obliviscaris - And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope
After the Burial - Lost in the Static
im seeing alot of good A7X song requests, but i would like to see you reacted to something old school, something like Unholy Confessions or better yet Darkness Surrounding !
Ryudo Gaming waking the fallen is the best metal core album in my opinion
I wouldn’t recommend anything off Sounding the Seventh Trumpet to anyone except for A7X diehards. Except for maybe Streets and Warmness on the Soul. Warmness is kinda cheesy though. Still love it.
Yessss! Take it back to the beginning!
To end the rapture
How about some good ol bat country 😎 that shit was my first fave from them
This is definitely one of my favorite songs by them. Also i totally agree with your take on their songs. They give me a lot of energy always the best for working out and i always listened before my hockey games
Another avenged song... save me is ten minutes long and it gives me a lot of the same vibes that this song does but is still a whole other beast.
Parkway Drive Crushed please
Why don't you react to Afterlife by A7X
OH YES
Yesss
Cause buried alive is way better
yyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssss
fuck yeah
i like your reaction 😁 Alex and all your say about A7XFold is all right 👏👏👏 and that's how we listened to their songs oohh yeaaahhhh
This was my reaction to the entire album when it came out, and I’m a long time A7X fan. Real musicians
Victim and Tension are great songs too!
Love your Channel!
C'mon Cemetery Gates Pantera
This song is a masterpiece. Thanks for the reaction video.
