I can’t even tell you how much I appreciate this episode. I’ve been researching this for the past couple years but no where have I found someone to walk me through it like this! You are SO APPRECIATED!!❤
Thanks so much for your kind words! Your lovely comment really made my day 🥰 So happy you found this episode helpful! Wishing you a wonderful weekend and lots of long-lasting bouquets of flowers 💚🤗💚
That is great information as always! I have entered flowers in the county fair, and being able to keep them clean and fresh looking before they were judged and after was so important. I will keep this in mind next time I enter a flower in the fair! Will also be important to know the time of day when to cut the flowers to prevent wilt, that information would also help a lot.
How exciting that you exhibit your beautiful flowers at the county fair! 🥰 I am sure they need to look pristine for the judges, as well as all the onlookers that view them throughout the day 🧐👩⚖🌻 Thanks so much for sharing, and have a fantastic weekend! 💚🤗💚
Question...I was told that you shouldn't use the whole packet of flower food for a vase, that there is enough for at least 3 changes of water. Is this true? I think she said 1/8th to 1/4 teaspoon. Thank you so much. Your show is great.
Hello! I would try checking the back of your flower food packet. Usually, the recommended volume of water for the entire packet is specified there. If you are using less water than that (or if you just want to experiment with using a lower concentration of flower food), you can certainly stretch the use of that packet out. Hope that helps, and have a fantastic day! 💚🤗💚
Oh, thanks so much for the kind words! 🥰 Great point about episode 100 - perhaps we should do something special 🤔 Any ideas?! Thanks again, and have a fantastic weekend! 💚🤗💚
Hello! The bouquet contained strawflowers, statice, bupleurum, craspedia, scabiosa, snapdragons, feverfew, carnations, and 'ProCut Gold Lite' sunflowers, as well as the white flowers you referenced. The look of the white flowers could be achieved using 'Covent Garden' baby's breath or 'White Beauty' soapwort 😊 Hope that helps, and have a great day! 💚🤗💚
Thanks so much for this information. I’ve taken notes, but I do have a question about hydrating Solutions sunflowers. I think I heard Lisa say on a prior seed talk that she does use it also for some sunflowers. Could you elaborate?
Dave also said the snapdragon buds that open on a vase without flower food will be all white! I paid attention and tested two vases of snaps with and without flower food and the bud color was all white without. Why didn’t I notice this before?!
That is so true! The immature buds will often not fully develop, color up, or open without flower food ☹ So happy to hear you conducted an experiment to confirm this! 👩🔬 Thanks so much for sharing this great information, and have a fabulous weekend! 💚🤗💚
Great point! Yes, these are available for purchase, and the product page for the CVBN tablets lists the "Dirty Dozen" flowers ☺ Thanks so much, and have a wonderful day 💚🤗💚
Thank you so much for that informative video. I’ve been waiting for that one lol. Just wondering if you can comment on dahlias. Would you harvest them with just the tablet or hydrating solution. Thanks.
You are so welcome! ☺️ Glad to hear we covered a topic you were looking forward to 🥰 Regarding the dahlias (or any flower, really), I would try harvesting without the hydrating treatment / solution first and only add that to your protocol if you experience issues (after doing everything else properly harvest-wise). No need to waste product and money unnecessarily! 😊. Best of luck with your flowers, and have a lovely day! 💚🤗💚
I wonder if this explains why I picked a huge bouquet of clarkia, put them n a vase with flower food and within an hour they were beginning to wilt! What should I have done?
How do you deal with pests..earwigs and thrips as I am making bouquets pop out of flowers and foliage.. I would be mortified if that happened at my customer's home😮
Thank you. This makes perfect sense.
As always, I’m so grateful to the both of you. You explain things so clearly and always seem to anticipate my every question. THANK YOU!

As a basic backyard flower dude I learn so much from you ladies, thank you. ST 100 is on the near horizon, any hints on something special happening?

@@LayneAngelo Two words: blooper reel!
Could you list the flowers in Lisa’s favorite bouquet (pink yellow, white bouquet? More specifically - what are the lacy white flowers?

Good info, do you sell these items on your website? Also can you list the “dirty dozen” - Marigolds, rudbeckia, sunflowers, zinnias, ??? Thanks
