i've watched the full analysis . thank you sooo much for more Mariah analysis. And thank you for pointing out her musicianship and artistry, and if you want to know she didn't only write the lyrics, the melodies, arranged her vocals, background singers and produced for her songs but she said in interview she also sang the melodies for guitar/bass lines to the instrumentalists, so yess credit to both (Mariah and her musicians). But you miss the last part of the songs where the background singers sing the chorus one more time, it's freaking good! Thanks again!

This Tokyo Dome _Daydream Tour_ is her best live show vocally. Agility & transition were crazy as usual when the consistency in support was great. Consistency & head voice are her biggest weaknesses.
MSG has better performances
Music Box Tour show in New York and MSG 1995 Special are very beyond Tokyo Dome…

She hates or hated this song. Last time she performed it was in 96. Then she was forced to add it to the setlist of her #1 to Infinity residency in Las Vegas where she chronologically sang all of her at the time 18 #1's. She must have made up with the song, because she sang it here and there in some shows after Vegas.

Actually she didn’t hate this song. But she hated how the song was produced in her 1st album, it wasn’t the way she want this song to be. In Daydream Tour, she rearranged it like the way it should be. That’s why she put it into setlist.
@@juliocesarfernandezcampuza8760 she actually doesn't hate this song...she just doesn't care about it...she said that she can't relate to it like how she relate to her other songs..she just wrote it cause sony manager ask her to wrote song based on ballad...so since writing ballad songs was easy for her so she just wrote it to not to mention she doesn't like how this song was produced

I think MC in early 1990s was straightforward with powerful whistles & belts before she added more tricks (resonance, agility & transition) to her enriched technique library in mid-1990s.
we gotta get outta 'early Mariah', it's current Mariah yall gotta get into. It's a 30 year career, lets flesh it out more. 90s Mariah isn't the best Mariah.
It's more interesting to see him analyze her flawless technique when her voice starts to change.

Love the analysis, Lasage. I’ve heard that Mariah’s true voice is a lower-ish voice, but she taught herself to sing really really whigh. Lower i.e., more in line with her talking voice. Now, Mariah has so much power in her lows. What are your thoughts?

Wow learned something about snare manipulation using reverb and gate. I had just seen the drummer of a different artist producing two different snare sounds on the same song using an acoustic drum kit and was wracking my brain trying to figure out how this was possible. Thanks for that info! On another note...how do you do a cricoid tilt...what exercise can help one experience this sensation?
calmly exhale everything and then, without inhaling, make believe that you are calling out to a friend. it's a bit weird at first because it's anxiety provoking to try and do that after an exhale, but it's a very safe way to practice.
