But when I see how you analyze the songs, I have a feeling that you’d be even more impressed hearing the songs separately in their original form, the way they were supposed to be presented. As I learn more of her music, the appreciation grows. I'm not such a great song writer and as such it takes me a bit more time to understand certain things musically. What I hear from her is consistently awesome.

I love watching you fall in love with Mariah Carey as much as I have. Remember the first time I discovered her I was five years old. Her music has gotten me through the worst times of my life.
I think her whistles sound so good, not just because she’s super skilled, but also because her voice type and condition. She has vocal nodules which are probably the reason she always had this access to the whistle register or vice versa… maybe she overused that register as a child until she developed vocal nodules. Either way, most of the time, her whistles would be more accessible when the rest of her voice is in bad condition/sick/tired. And she would use her whistles less when she uses upper belting more.
Never be another. She is incredibly vocally talented, incredibly artistically creative, and a great lyricist. We rarely get artists who are this multi gifted. I can think of Prince.
