Really great tips Egor! One thing I’ve found that seems to work well recently, is an extra R with STAR - Reflection. I think interviews are often keen to know what you learnt from the experience/project and also what you might do differently if you were to do it again knowing what you know now
I have been doing all of the right work and applied 200+ roles still no luck! Breaking into DS role this year is so much harder than 3 years ago. Would really be helpful if we maybe have a vid interviewing those who break into DS field in 2024 without coding background
Hey, I personally use a mac, doesnt matter if its pro or air, but Macs come with unix like terminal which in my opinion are better to code in. So I would go for that! Don't need to get a super expensive one, but I would recommend getting an M chip if possible.

Oh Thanks a lot! That would be really nice! I think this year getting an interview is extremely hard given the bad market. My location is in Toronto. Lots of layoffs and low new openings in the past year. I find myself having been competing with senior DS for junior DS roles. I’ve applied actually 300+ roles for more than half years but only got 1-2 interviews in the beginning. After that I’ve been practicing more coding interview questions but just no more interviews. Breaking into DS almost feel impossible and very frustrating. Although I didn’t have much real work experience in DS. I’ve worked in banks for 5 years and some are analytical roles. I have finished a DS book camp and also have completed a few good Kaggle projects covering diff type of topics such as unsupervised, supervised learning, recommendation system , hypothesis testing, NNW etc and been active on creating more fun projects. I put my Kaggle profile link in CV. But still no effect at all. I honestly don’t know what I can do more!😢
Hey, sorry to hear that. It sounds like your problem is generally landing the interviews. What's your CV/Resume like? I have a whole video on how to structure one: th-cam.com/video/-qDARm1S-6M/w-d-xo.html If you are interested I also 1:1 advice/mentoring -> calendly.com/egorhowell/consulting

I will think of a video idea thanks. Also, I appreciate it’s difficult now, what’s the main thing you are struggling with?
