Thank you for the resources. I'm currently a biomedical engineering freshgraduate but I have a deep interest in data science and machine learning. Currently following Jose Portilla's Machine Learning & Data Science course on udemy and he's the best. I also already finished his SQL course too.
I really appreciate you talking about the importance of mathematics and recommending resources. I've watched quite a few TH-camrs who are telling people all they need to do to become a data scientist is to learn tools (python, SQL, etc).I'd love your opinion: I studied mechanical engineering 20 years ago (I'm 42 now), never worked as an engineer as I later did my Master's degree in teaching and became a secondary school math teacher. Then I transitioned to instructional design. Fair to say my math is at intermediate level. What are my chances of transitioning to data science without doing a university degree? Also, what are your thoughts on DataCamp? Thanks
Greatings from Brasil! love your videos. Do you ever considered to make vlogs about your rotine as a data scientist? I would love to see that, cheers! 🥂
Hi Egor! Could u make a video on the tech/laptop u use at ur work, and recommendations for people looking into getting to ai/ml and data science? Love your videos man, keep it up!
Brother if i would start now ,Will i be able to get a job in few years i e 2026-2030 Can we get a Data science job by self learning from free resources with certificates? Please reply... Love from Nepal🇳🇵🇳🇵
You probably can, but I would be lying if no formal eduction in a STEM subject wouldn't be advantageous. Doing a BSc in something like maths and cs would be ideal.
If you're being completely honest, what do you think your skill levels were before getting your first job? The job market is terrible and I feel like I'm being gaslit into being an expert in everything in order to get an entry-level job.
It's hard. It seems easier to apply for a entry level role like IT helpdesk just to get your foot in the door and then work your way up in hopes that you get the DS role within that company
Hey, hard to give you a concrete answer about my skill level. I knew python, sql, supervised learning and did some basic projects before getting my first role. I had a background in physics which helped with the maths and stats side. I am not under any illusion that it was easier a few years ago, but there still opportunities out there atm.
Hey Egor , really nice video ! I was wondering if I could help you with more Quality Editing in your videos and also make a highly engaging Thumbnail and also help you with the overall youtube strategy and growth ! Pls let me know what do you think ?
