    The people commenting clearly have no understanding of the power of suggestion. Being hypnotized isn't what hollywood movies have made it out to be. You are completely aware of everything you are doing at the time, it just feels like a dream afterwards.

    Former skeptic here, if you're a skeptic now just read this.
    My hypnosis experience was very hard to accept. Thats because for me to accept it, I had to realise that one, I was wrong. Two, that it wasnt a trick. And three, and this is the difficult one:
    Your rational, thinking mind isnt in control. The part of your mind that you identify as "you" is just a narrator "doing its best to describe what "might" be happening to you"

    • @eliehaddad4244
      @eliehaddad4244 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Interesting! Would you be so kind to explain further your last idea that includes the narrative thing

    • @xXAlexbXx-hl9nf
      @xXAlexbXx-hl9nf 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@eliehaddad4244 the idea he seems to be expanding on is the eternal battle between the conscious and unconscious mind. Our unconscious mind controls most everything we do and our conscious mind is rationalizing and compartmentalizing this information in ways we can use it later.

    All of you saying hypnosis is for “weak-minded” people have never tried it. It’s just guided meditation and has nothing to do with the “strength” of your mind. Would you say the same thing about people who meditate? Are they weak minded for using a relaxation technique? Hypnosis obviously wouldn’t physically make you a better fighter but it’s perfectly reasonable to think it could put you in a better frame of mind for a fight. I used to have daily panic attacks until a friend had me try self-hypnosis (hypnosis in mp3 form) and after listening to it for a week I stopped having them. It isn't that stage hypnosis nonsense you see in movies where they make a person do stupid shit. People should try it for themselves before completely dismissing it.

    • @ViciousSmitt12
      @ViciousSmitt12 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      M Burrito on point.
      I think we need to stop using the word hypnosis because it automatically makes people think of bullshit out of a movie or fake acts where somebody gets told to do things.
      I no longer crave unhealthy food which has helped me fast and diet much easier.
      I also stopped worrying about things every minute of the day due to another video I listen to every night. It’s so good and the people who choose to dismiss it are silly and sadly that was me because I didn’t understand it.
      First hand experience from a doubter, I love it and will continue to do it due to the happiness and calmness it brings to every day life.

    • @SuperiorityQomplex
      @SuperiorityQomplex 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not entirely true. There is some issue with the strength if your mind. But the opposite of what most people think. The smarter you are, the better it works. If your brain is weak and can't concentrate, it won't work. But ya, hypnosis is very powerful stuff.

    • @SuperiorityQomplex
      @SuperiorityQomplex 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ya, Hypnosis doesn't really work well on weak minded people at all. They can't focus enough. You'll find that self made millionaires and people with the strongest convictions and mindsets are the easiest to hypnotize. They do it every day to themselves in order to focus on the goals that they are creating in their lives.
      The best illustration I've heard for trance was when we were kids. Remember when you were a young lad and you picked up a stick and pretended it was an AK-47? Sure, you knew it was just a stick, but after a few minutes of running around shooting the bad guys, and it all seemed real enough. That's trance, suggestion, hypnosis right there. Or perhaps you were a little girl playing with Barbies. You knew they were just pieces of plastic too, but you still would get lost in the adventures in Barbie's Malibu Beach Yacht and dates with Ken.
      We've all experience hypnosis naturally without realizing it.

    • @thegrumpyhypnotist
      @thegrumpyhypnotist 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it is not important for a person to totally believe it can be done. that idea is propagated by hypnotists to provide an easy excuse for failure, ie. "she didn't believe enough". but it doesnt matter if someone has doubts or not, most people have some level of doubt and uncertainty, healthy skepticism is healthy. BUT its a different thing if someone does not want it to be done... in that case, there is no "overpowering" involved because it is very easy to resist hypnosis, if it is being done overtly.

    • @thegrumpyhypnotist
      @thegrumpyhypnotist 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      sure, if you modify the statement to be "some" people.. but not many people can learn to respond that way so easily and quickly, esp. in an entertainment setting.. and people who can learn to bark or cluck nonvoluntarily still might not be able to easily "do" other hypnotic phenomena like amnesia, hallucination, catalepsy, anesthesia, etc. and vice versa.. would not put a whole lot of weight on what's shown on TV in general

    In college there was a welcoming party and there was a hypnotist who was on stage entertaining everyone in the pub/bar. I volunteered to go up because I was interested on what happened but in the end, nothing I happened and I was just staring at him.
    I think most people who think they are hypnotized are acting. Especially those at shows, they do for the fun or get paid. My classmates said that they did it for the fun and acted like that.... either he was telling the truth or he was embarrassed for pretending to drive a harley.

    • @Jorbz150
      @Jorbz150 6 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Stage hypnosis is usually recognized as a different phenomenon from hypnosis. It's probably mostly people getting stage fright and acting weird/ doing what they are told.
      Hypnosis itself has been found to have very real effects on the brain.
      Hypnosis can be used, in many individuals, for massive pain relief. Now how much is just a placebo type thing is something people will always wonder, but even placebos can have a massive effect on the brain.
      Of course there is always the issue with the movies and the stage shows which make most people ignore real, practical applications, which are less entertaining and exciting and so get less attention.

      Here’s my take on chiropractic, not that anyone gives a shit but I’m alone right now, drank too much coffee, and am bored. Chiropractic is not a long term fix. The long term fix, in most cases, is correcting muscle imbalances (which can happen for any number of reasons). Muscles move bones. The great thing about chiropractic work is that if imbalances get to the point where you’re experiencing substantial pain, you’re probably so misaligned and your muscles are so stretched and/or weak you may not even be able to rehab them properly. Chiropractors can help tremendously by realigning you to a point where you can actually start to rehab yourself properly, potentially knocking weeks or even months off of the time needed to fix the actual issues. Thing is, many don’t actually explain this, as they want you to keep coming back for obvious reasons. And yes of course there are great ones and really bad ones (who can actually make matters worse) but, by definition, most of them are just average. Ok, I’m gonna go try to find myself a life now.

    it's horse shit, people that claim to have been hypnotized made themselves think it, nobody can force your thoughts, you do it yourself from a want to do it and then think it was some magic power.

      JUSES CHIRST here is what it is, hypnosis is in no way when a person tells you to act a certain way and then magically on the spot you are a monkey or an elephant or a child.
      It’s just a deep form of meditation and will relax you so much, you can really focus on nothing and feel so great and almost weightless. It’s just to get something in your mind and it will keep it there, trust me.
      Try it and you will understand what it actually is, you are thinking too much of those fake stage acts or things in movies. It’s literally just to get something into your brain and have it there subconsciously throughout the day which will deeply change the way you are.
      The hypnotist doesn’t change you, it’s yourself that does it but the hypnotist just guides you easily into the trance like state you need to be in.

      That's literally what hypnosis is, hypnotists themselves will tell you they can't make you do something you don't want to.

      Hypnosis is really self-hypnosis. Once you stop resisting, you'll start feeling its effects. I was skeptical too until I tried it just recently. And it actually worked.

    wheres the proof that it worked??? so this guy should be unbeatable then??

    • @hypnodelica
      @hypnodelica 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's nonsense - hypnosis can't make someone an unbeatable fighter, it can just help them to be the best, most focused fighter they can be - there will still always be someone out there who is a better natural athlete, a more skilled fighter, a much harder puncher etc...
      Hypnosis can help people master their mind by focussing their thoughts - it is a guided meditation that involves steering the subconscious to positive desired outcomes - it's not magic....
      imagine two versions of the same fighter - one who gets hit hard and dropped and then thinks 'fuck this, this guy is killing me', and another who thinks 'right you cunt you're going to have it now' - which version of that fighter is more likely to recover and win?
