They cost a fortune to maintain. They aren’t much fun when the weather is poor. BUT, when the weather is decent and you can get out and play it’s all worth it! Brilliant to see you enjoying SB2!
Marvellous - When I started watching with my Wife 3 years ago, we thought it was all very aesthetically pleasing and plush with all these amazing boats, but more importantly we have grown to enjoy your trips for the journeys of the soul! We have two choices - keep watching you enjoying yourself or secondly get a boat ourselves (One day!!🤔) !!! Thanks for all your insights into a world we may never have considered 5 years ago Nick! All the best and thanks for great video 👍 Thanks to Gregg and his partner too, as the three camerapersons adds to our involvement 😎 HAPPY DAYS! ☀🐬🚤
I don't think I've ever enjoyed myself on the water so much whilst being on land! I felt as though I was right there with you all the way 😃 What an absolutely blissful journey Nick, thanks so much for taking us along! Also massive respect for your excellent taste in music 😁 I was thinking as you were pointing out different boats along the way, about how bad I am at recognising builders/models of boats, and I wondered if you might one day be able to make a video on how you identify different boats. As a pilot I was taught with aircraft recognition to use things like placement of engines, position of wings and shape of fuselage etc to help differentiate aircraft from one another. I assume it's a similar thing with boats but wonder what the telltale features of a princess/sunseeker etc are. I appreciate it's outside of your format, but even if you could include little informative bits in your future videos about typical hallmarks of boat builders I'd be very grateful, considering your expertise in the field. As always I just love your content Nick, you're my absolute (pardon the pun) favourite TH-cam channel. Thanks for your marvellous videos and I'll look forward to catching you on another one again real soon 😃
Just what we need after a crap week get home 55 inch tv cup coffee and biscuits nick Burnham smugglers and dreams making memories enjoying life to the full you are living the dream nick and for us who don't have a boat we are totally enjoying your dream big thank you just what I needed ps loving the new sound system looking forward to the next one
I just love the enthusiasm. As you said boat size cost etc means nothing it seems the water has an effect of making everyone equal in their enjoyment of the day. Thanks
Great video as always Nick, so glad you and greg can now play together in nearly equal machinery 👍I know that the D4 engine in Smugglers is newer. more fuel efficient and you get EDC but i have to say that turbo and supercharged straight 6 in Dreams sounds glorious. Thank you to you, Greg and Sally for bringing us along on your trips. hope you enjoy a season of calm seas and warm breeze.
Ah Nick you posted this up when we were taking our first proper trip out on our new to us boat, an 80km trip along the Bocholt-Herentals Canal, from Kerkhoven to Maasmechlen with the yacht club, 10 boats leaving at various days and times heading east and south. Ours was the oldest boat, a Placom 750, she is 45 years old, and we were last to leave. At a fairly steady 8km/h sog it took us 10 hours of sailing and an overnight stop in Bocholt, then 2 nights in Maasmechlen with BBQ etc and great company, then 2 days traveling back the 80km to Kerkhoven on the Kanal naar Beverlo. Only decision made over the extended weekend was that we want a bigger boat :) Great to see you out and enjoying yourself again Nick. Tomorrow, another day out and a tapas somewhere along the canal side now praying for some better weather.
FANTASTIC boattrip, and thank you so much for letting us be a part of it 😀 Lovely music, the very best of friends and a very beautiful scenery 😊GREAT 😊
Hi , I know how you feel the first good trip of the season , lets us all hope the wind keeps down and the sun stays out . Enjoy the season have fun and do not count the cost until the end , happy days . 😉👍👍💅to all for the day out . Keep them coming Nick and fun is just over the horizon .
I think I speak for many of us when I say how much we enjoy coming with you on your adventures. It is the closest we are ever likely to get to actually taking to the sea and the way you draw us into your world is magical. A great day much enjoyed. Thank you sincerely for sharing it with us.
Really enjoyable video Nick. Great footage taken by both Skippers and First mate. I had the absolute same feeling with my boat on her first trip out this year. All the hard work in the yard anti fouling, polishing, servicing my outboard pays off when you open her up and have the wind in your face! Thanks for the trip out. 👍🏻👏👌

Hello Nick. I’ve not commented before but, after watching this video of your wonderful day out on the water, I just wanted to say thank you. I felt as though I were there on the Smugglers with you. Your joy at being on the water is infectious. I’m sure I was bouncing up and down in my seat as you planed across the waves. 🤣 Thank you so much. I look forward to more of your marvellous tours and days out. Have a wonderful season and take the greatest care. Stan 😀🤓
Great to see you out and about again in smugglers. I think a few people have said this but seeing g you out on the water and living by the coast makes me very envious. Have a great weekend Nick. K
A lovely bit of escapism and genuine envy on a Monday, for those of us without a boat (even if only at present). What a way to while away a day (for you) and an hour or so for us, to join you. Thank you.

What a nice video, Nick! I am at my office in Argentina and cannot concentrate to get into my work for watching it! Very glad to see you back in the water and enjoying the Smugglers once again!
Glad to see you in your element, back on the water where you belong. Very uplifting to see you so happy, Nick, and so well deserved what with the enormous amount of work you do to bring us such enjoyment and to enable yourself to snatch a few moments of pure joy. Good on you mate and thanks for taking us along with you. All the best
Couple of English lads out tooling along, boat slicing thru the water, wind in the hair but I was surprised you weren’t blasting Mick and the Stones wailing to “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”. I’d save the oldies classics for the way home. But you had a good run and you clearly enjoyed every minute of it.
What a spectacular day you had! Seeing Brixham and Torquay built up around their harbours reminded me of my visit to Bournemouth several years ago, and then I checked the map and realized that it's just a little further around the coast from where you were. And cheers on your choice of music - my playlist would have been very similar on a day like that. 🥂
Reminds me of my friend and I on lake Michigan cruising around and venturing up the Milwaukee river to the pub! I know that feeling Nick top of the world!!!
Perked me right up after sitting in hot sweaty traffic in good old landlocked Brum all day the boat looks and sounds fantastic Nick well worth all your hard work thanks for taking us along 👍
That was stunning , what a lovely part of the world and how nice was the weather , even the music sounded like it was lifted off my music library , truly exceptional, many thanks for sharing it , you are a lucky man indeed
Sir Nick, I finished working and of course my Friday night entertainment was this... many, like myself, wait all year for a fabulous video, like this...Greg and Sally, beautiful views, learning a little bit here and there, and safe return. Nothing better. Cheers, my friend, Jeff, from Pennsylvania 🇬🇧 🚢
Really enjoyed that Nick, thank you. Love your choice of music and I especially like the fact that unlike a lot of Vloggers you don’t drown out the wonderful sounds of the sea with loud inappropriate music. Boat is looking fabulous xx
Well my visiting Nurse yesterday recommended that I listen to Rolling Stones Music to get bits of me moving, and then Bob Marley songs to get them moving differently , feet, ankles, and toes are already back to normal colour and the swelling has reduced. It was kind of recommended as a joke tbh, but bloody heck ? 🤔Since hospitalised with Respiratory Failure, doing things like walking have been excruciatingly painful, but I think playing the Music of the best R & B Dance Band of all time, somehow has kick started muscle memory? Then a bit of Bob Marley to ease back down to. 🤔Best Wishes. Bob.🌟🌟🌟👍🏴🇬🇧⛵️
I've watched plenty of your videos, but this one compelled me to leave my first comment. It's such a wonderfully wholesome video-I absolutely loved it!
Great to see you out on the water again and I'm thoroughly enjoying your vlogs. As a small boy - 70 odd years ago - I remember the upper chain ferry as paddle driven and an exciting thing for a child to see!! Keep up the great work please!
🦘🇦🇺 Thank you Nick for such a wonderful day on the bays. So good of you to take us out. It looks so realistic on the big screen. Smugglers II just rides so well & sits beautifully in the water on these new stabilisers. What a joy. 🛟🙏
Loving this video Took my boat down to the club for the season after taking a few days off work. Just getting ready to launch and noted the steering was not working, so trip over before it even started I then watched all the other boats launch So nice to live the experience through your video Welcome back
Wow, what a boat trip. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. You can't beat Devon, especially love the River Dart and Estuary, Dartmouth and Kingswear. Great choice, At the River by Groove Armada, one of my favourite songs. Looking forward to your next boat trip. Thanks Nick 🌳 👍 😃 🌳
Bloody brilliant! The ultimate relaxation - turn on, enjoy you grinning like a child at Christmas, steadily relax and I’m nodded off only half way in. Perfect! I’ll watch the other half tomorrow. Thanks for sharing, these are the best!!
Going home what a lovely sky, the sun across the water as it sets and the lovely deep nlue of the sea. The land rising up from the sea. Its dark at first then the green appears as you get closer into the Dart Estuary. Then the run up the river, the evening light on the buildings, the river and the sky. Thanks for sharing.
What a lovely day out. Thanks so much for sharing it Nick, probably appreciated far more than you imagine tbh. Best Wishes. Bob still landlocked in Wales, but bouncing back from Respiratory Failure and Heart Failure Really fast now, I pleased to be able to say. 👍🌟🌟🌟❤️⛵️🏴🇬🇧
@@AQUAHOLIC Thanks Nick. Luckily I stuck with Meditative Deep Breathing constantly, which was very exhausting, and frankly didn’t seem to be doing any good, plus the Nebuliser they were giving everyone - the ICU was full of us all basically just Dying, so luckily my kid sister brought in lots of packets of Fisherman’s Friend lozenges which worked brilliantly as effective Nebulisers, as the hospital ones just didn’t have any active ingredients in them, they were just steam. One of the ICU Burses was going downhill really fast, so I had a doctor take a packet of Fisherman’s Friends over to her, and they got her through the shift, she was off work for three days then I don’t know what she’d been given, but she was right as rain when she returned ? Anyway, thanks to deep breathing, when the heart attack hit, it was only a very mild one, otherwise, I’d have checked out. There’s a lot of this antibiotic resistant bacteria around, and my best friend in Somerset was in a Coma for a couple of weeks with it. Thankfully he’d had long Covid so bad, he’d had to be fitted with a Pacemaker, and it’s pretty clear that Pacemaker is what pulled him through. He’s a few weeks behind me, but is now Recovering at the same accelerated pace that I am thankfully. Have a great Summer Boating mate, seeing you on the water is a great help in cheering a lot of us up. By this time next year, I may have one of the new Dufour 44 sailboats, and I’ve even found a Custom Wing Keel maker, who can make the shallow Draft Keel that I need for it, so things look up. Best Wishes. Bob. 👍🌟🌟🌟❤️⛵️🏴🇬🇧
Hi Nick, so nice to see both yourself and the boat come alive, I must have been a little nostalgic for you, so it was great that you had company. Please could we have a video about the new “toys”. Thank you for a lovely trip, Peter
Absolutely brilliant video Nick, in my opinion one of the best you have done. So relaxing to watch, I'll be waching it again many times. I've been following you since you started, this year I will be launching my boat for the first time (1990 bayliner 2556 which I have done a lot of work on over the year) and will be looking forward to having her on her Hamble mooring and expoloring the Solent. Thanks for what you do!
Love these video’s, Nick! Your passion shows thru so clearly. I am also always amazed at the beauty of your country! Thanks for sharing a have a great weekend!
Yeyhey Nick, floating and boating once again! The Smuggler looks in top form and you picked a lovely day for it. Even Maggie had a smile on her face!! 😊👍
Besides the views, the Unique landscape and joy can be driving it, one of the best reasons I see this its because of the peaceful location, Avoid the excessive sound of society. I would prefer this to a 4 week in the 5 star hotel.. I envy you in a good way. keep bringing this videos when possible. Thanks
It’s always good to see a grown man enjoying himself like a child! Your joy came across and was infectious, thank-you
I'm glad that you enjoyed it 🙂
Of all of your videos its these that make me the most envious, your own boat, great weather, friends and cruising around, bliss.
They cost a fortune to maintain.
They aren’t much fun when the weather is poor.
BUT, when the weather is decent and you can get out and play it’s all worth it!

Surely nothing could go wrong
I love the music that Nick plays
But wish he wouldn't sing along
He's easy like a Sunday morning
Each and every day of the week
A blessed life he has got
The same that all us doth seek
Yes, I'm Holding Back The Years
To give me time to cruise the sea
I would have gone aship with him
But he forgot to invite me
Some day I'll get to my heavenly berth
And get to sail Paradise sea

Bob. 👍🌟🌟🌟❤️⛵️🏴🇬🇧
Thank you AQUAHOLIC compliment video brilliant.
Glad you liked it! 🙂
Hi Nick, so nice to see both yourself and the boat come alive, I must have been a little nostalgic for you, so it was great that you had company.
Please could we have a video about the new “toys”. Thank you for a lovely trip, Peter
Glad you enjoyed it, and coming soon I hope! (Not had the time and weather to film it yet)
Love this Nick, please have lots more little adventures like this over the summer.
Get out there, have fun... but take us along for the ride 😊
That's fantastic, enjoy! 😃
Love these video’s, Nick! Your passion shows thru so clearly. I am also always amazed at the beauty of your country! Thanks for sharing a have a great weekend!
My pleasure!
Thank you Nick 😊

Yeyhey Nick, floating and boating once again! The Smuggler looks in top form and you picked a lovely day for it. Even Maggie had a smile on her face!! 😊👍
Besides the views, the Unique landscape and joy can be driving it, one of the best reasons I see this its because of the peaceful location, Avoid the excessive sound of society. I would prefer this to a 4 week in the 5 star hotel.. I envy you in a good way. keep bringing this videos when possible. Thanks
Couldn't agree more!
