Today we're reviewing a watch from my own country, Croatia. Perun is named after the Slavic pagan god Perun and the model is named Veles after the god of underworld and nature. They are constantly at war between each other and the watch, beside the name, also oozes with details revealing it's slavic origins. From the horns at 12 o clock marker, thru the crown that has a thunder symbol used to protect households from lightning and down to the caseback with a symbol for the sun.
As a watch, this one is powered by a Sellita SW221 with a pointer date function. and 40mm in diameter it is a handsome watch that can be worn by anyone, while the highly legible markers and hands make it easily readable in all conditions.

Both watches looks nice however I would prefer rectangular indexes. Overall design is OK, clean and quite classy.

I didn’t think I was going to like this watch. I worried it would be too gimmicky. But it’s really well done with a truly unique and super legible dial.

Amazing looking air king inspired watch❤ I really love that they didnt go all the way "homaging" as they have put a lot of own accents. Also inspiration in mythology is awesome..

Croatia is one of the nicest countries I have ever visited. I was there when it was still part of Yugoslavia. The watch looks great but I think it's a little overpriced. With a screw down crown why couldn't they achieve 200m water resistance ? Very odd 🤔

I had the privilege to collaborate with the company and experience both models on my wrist for two weeks. The Perun wristwatch is truly worth every cent. The construction and legibility are superb, but the biggest surprise is how comfortable the watch is. The bracelet is nothing short of fantastic.

It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. AMZWATCH watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?

Nice review, I don’t think 12.5 is all that “thin” though. I would consider it as it’s unusual but at that price there’s too many other options with some pedigree.
Great video as always and nice watches. I like the date idea. As I get older I can't see date windows making them useless even with a cyclops. Once you get used to where the numbers are, a visual pointer is a good idea. Price point high though imo
Lovely watch! 1200 even on sale is a bit steep but overall a great looking watch...wish the watch was entirely brushed but that's a personal preference.

nice idea but price is crazy
Looks like a high quality piece. As somebody who likes watches with pointer date function, it's nice to see it here. You don't see many of those, especially not on microbrands. I'm not a fan of some of the elements on the dial, but that's just my personal preference. If they're going with Slavic theme, the thing that doesn't make sense is a combination of two opposing worlds - Slavic mythology, Perun and Veles with Glagolitic script. Knowing that Glagolitic script was invented in Christian context by a missionary in a period when Croatia was Christianized. Glagolitic script is almost exclusively known from church texts or documents developed in that context in a period when literacy was very low. Also, the shape of the Glagolitic letters on the watch is a latter variant of the script. Anyway, good luck to Perun watches.
Zanimljiv sat, ali malo tržište. Vjerovatno če se ipak pokriti troškovi, ako uzmemo u obzir, da je Kineske proizvodnje, što je očito, kad vidimo poznati San Martin clasp, s onim ružnim sistemom, gdje se vide šraufovi sa strane.
