    4:55 factory muffler
    8:23 driller through factory muffler
Sound like the drilled through one have slightly louder mechanical sound

Good demonstration , thank you. I think I'll stick with the stock factory exhaust .Noise and pollution, both at minimum level.

I removed my MT03 exhaust system and replaced it with a full stainless system by Delkevic.Sounds really great, its a joy to ride and hear this exhaust.

Instead of going through the baffle you should’ve use a goose saw big enough to fit around the baffle and remove the whole baffle, that’s why there wasn’t any change on the db measurements

It's the one thing about the new Yamaha bikes, majority of the sound reduction is done by the huge integrated catalytic converter. This is why many people just take the muffler off because it literally doesn't do much at all. Just compare a stock ninja 300 pipe to a R3's, the cat is much bigger.

remember increase in dB is logarithmic! 3db increase = doubling of "loudness"

I`ve tried without top and it`s not so bad, and its easy to test. It`s a little bit better sound also you can drive without him

if you get rid of that big box in the middle of the exhaust youll have a stright pipe then you can weld the muffler in the end its gonna sound awesome

Or you could just get a bend pipe which is dirt cheap :3

Did you found another idea after this video to improve the sound level? I'm looking for an idea to be noticed in traffic with a modification on the stock exhaust.

No I didn't try anything else . The aftermarket exhausts are quite expensive . I wanted something that would be slightly louder but not too " in yer face sound"

@@IfItAintBrokeStillFixIt Thats exactly what I search. I meant if you have worked on further modifications but it seems not. Its pity to give lot of money for akrapovic exhaust (non carbon model) which is looking like handmade.

I think the exit exhaust hole needs to be larger. Like removing a db killer

On a side note just noticed you have a top box I can’t find a bracket anywhere for one which did you use?

You need to get rid of the cat if you want it to get louder.
