Also I only ever ride or operate this motorcycle in clear sunny summer warm weather perhaps 25-100 days per year maximum, only if I feel sharp mentally, physically strong with a focus on safety since there exists locally many motor vehicle drivers of low skill who are bad a driving cars making it more dangerous to ride a motorcycle in traffic with other vehicles.

the “heat sink” is a regulator rectifier. it converts ac to dc.
Why would they bother putting an AC generator on a bike put a DC generator ?? No
That heatsink, I believe is for the rectifier.
