    The eyes on that second head were so freaking realistic it was creeping me out

    Great review! This figure is a must have for me. I love the sculpt of this fig and the tailoring is outstanding. As for me, I have a whole attic dedicated to storing my HT boxes/brown shippers. I even keep the plastic wraps around head, arms and feet. I don't throw away anything lol. Thx for sharing, peace!

    Thanks Danoby! To answer your question on what is saved, I keep everything except the shipper.

    Yeees diecast arm would be amazing

    Oh, and I save everything that comes with the figure.... sleeves, tabs and bags. I would not have hated if this also had rooted hair for some reason, i feel the sculpt Doo isn't "fine" enough.

    If hot toys made the arm diecast, it would offset the balance of the whole figure. It would then be difficult to pose as it would be top heavy without the right side balanced.
    It is probably something the RnD team discussed but decided not to do.
    Nice in depth video. 👍

      Hmm,.. Your probably right. But that plastic arm is no match for a plastic cap shield,.. Oh wait😜

    • @humanbeingill2628
      @humanbeingill2628 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Left arm being Diecast on such a small piece would add an inconsequential amount of weight I think in terms of balance. To offset that sturdy ankle joints would be the trick. Also, the single joint is a bummer, a double joint similar to the latest designed knees on the ironman such as Centurion for example would be awesome. I'd take function SLIGHTLY over aesthetics any day.... Your thoughts?

    • @AnthonyBudgetStarkTsang
      @AnthonyBudgetStarkTsang 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the left arm was die cast, due to the high pivotal point and depending how much diecast is used, the weight could be around 20 - 30% of the overall body weight on 1 extremity.
      Stabilising the ankle joint won't be enough as we are talking about mass on pivotal points (judo throw is simple example) as the weight is high up.

    Great format on this review. But I like the flow of all your videos anyway but this was was really informative. And it was interesting to see you take the plastic off. I keep the protective plastic for the head sculpt and extra head sculpt. The arms too if they just slip off but most times I destroy the plastic around the legs.

      TheWolvesblood6 Every keeps the plastic except me. :-(

    Nice look at the Winter Soldier figure! I definitely want to get this guy, the film was kickass! As for the plastic bags, I tend to keep the ones that slip off easily but the tough ones I gotta rip off or cut, I toss. I recycle my shipper boxes once I see the figure's condition is good.

      VengefulCanadian It would seem like I'm the only one that throws away the plastic sleeves! :-)

    Enjoyed the review! I keep the plastic until the figure has been displayed then toss it. I buy used figures as well and others have a similar style. Thanks.

    good remark about hot toys rising prices. In their case you can at least see that every single figure is unique, uses different body, etc. Now look at Sideshow. Theior pricing policy is ridiculous and they don't even bother to change anything about their figures. They are using exactly the same molds for clone troopers for example that they have used for the first one ever released. The only thing that has changed is the jumpsuit. If I was ever to collect any figures, I'd definitely go for Hot Toys. Unfortunately I had to give up on collecting as things here in Poland are simply too expensive and I could not afford all that I'd like to have and still be able to continue with other hobbies.

    • @Danoby2
      @Danoby2  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Verithiell Not allot of folks notice or say anything about Sideshow's recyclement of figures throughout most of their lines. Good point.

    loving your reviews more and more. And for the sketch at the end, you actually put work into it and it made me laugh :D (something we can't say from a certain man named sean long...) As for your question I kept the wrappers a while for my first hot toys but after switching parts for the fourth time (just a guess) I said to myself "The hell with it" and threw them away.

    Having a metal arm would raise the figure price a fair bit.

    Good stuff Danoby, I really like this figure, but with what has come out lately this one didn't take priority. I may pick this up with some rewards points at sideshow to help cut the cost a bit.
    Yes I keep all the plastic bags and shipper boxes too:p

    • @Danoby2
      @Danoby2  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      TheSkullReviews It would seem due to the flooded market and high discounted figures on sale right now at Sideshow, folks like yourself and including me are creating a secondary priority market. Meaning in the past most of us simply took the preorder at face value not really thinking the figure would be available or much less on sale. But because the market took a swing were being more picky. This market that we thrive on doesn't exist in Hong Kong.

  • @humanbeingill2628
    @humanbeingill2628 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Agreed! Make the left arm DIECAST. To produce would cost them what, $.45? Charge us the extra $10 and make it Happen! Masked head should also have the eye make-up too. Solid figure though....

    I'm curious about the shoulder sculpt - did they continue the metal around the shoulder and onto the chest the way we see in the film with the scaring around the edge on the chest?

    • @Danoby2
      @Danoby2  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Naw, just the attached arm is painted silver.

    • @Leathurkatt
      @Leathurkatt 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well that's just lame... You'd think with the extreme attention to detail on their figures (just look at the scars on Doctor Strange's hands, omg!), they would do that part too... O.o

      We seem to be going through a new age of mass releases from Hot Toys. So I'm in the same boat with you. Gotta be picky as to what ends up in my collection.

    Nice German accent. Cool! The sculpt of The Winter Soldier is dead on the actor. The females always are a little difficult for HT, but some of the men they get exactly right like this 1. I save all the packaging material, so it can attract sellers in the event I possibly sell $$$ them.
