A great band who set the way for others i.e jamiroquai being one to name a few. Very underestimated in my opinion and made some wonderful tracks, including this and Starchild and Children Say. So glad to have been part of this scene when I was younger!

Level 42 - The Chinese Way:
Take a journey back in time
    Leave the western world behind
    Cross the mountains to Peking
Where the paper laterns gently swing
    The Chinese way
    Who knows what they know
    The Chinese legend grows
    The Chinese way
    Who knows what they know
    The Chinese legend grows
    My eyes wide open
    I feel a breeze
    Words softly spoken
    In Cantonese
    Standing at the master's side
    Then with patience he confides
    Secret knowledge, sacred ways
Pearls of wisdom from the dragon days
    I could never lie
    For honor I would die
    Following the Chinese way
    So many years ago
    Heroes ruled the world
(Some died for love in a cruel world)
They were the only ones in a cruel world
    I could never lie
    For honor I would die
    Following the Chinese way
    From the mountains to Peking
Where the paper lanterns gently swing

What a shame they dudn't use the original audio from the BBC broadcast. I know they'd be miming to the same thing but still! Whoever created this doesn't remember the Thursday night studio sound of TOTP.

Interesting, thanks for the notification. The Copyright page has no regional restrictions however it states the following:
"Viewing restrictions • Unavailable on some devices

softladification thanks for the reply. Yes possibly that. I just thought it odd as a few days ago it was playing fine on my phone and ps4 but now it's not allowed. Noticed the same thing on a couple of your other videos. But maybe it's just an issue my end.

    • @TopOfThePopsRedubbed
      @TopOfThePopsRedubbed  7 ปีที่แล้ว

It's particularly odd as I've checked the original file and it's codec details are identical to all the other files I've uploaded. I suspect it may be filesize related though (this is a particularly large file) so something I'll have to watch out for in future. Cheers.
