A quick tutorial to Basic Synthesis in Dragon Quest Monsters - and how to get powerful Talents and Spells for your party! Thank you so much for the support everyone - it's awesome to be able to make Dragon Quest content
As a long time player of the monsters games, I admit that the "afficianado" skill trees had me stumped, so I greatly appreciate this video clarifying that it's like the "frizz/bang 1/2/3" skill trees of old, but for one spell type now
For anyone who wants to make a team that only spams spells consider applying the talent drain dodger or antimagic avoider. Khalamari Kid (pink squid) has drain dodger, while Capsichum (shish kabob) and Leery lout (green dude with shield) has antimagic avoider. This demo gave me fizzle ptsd (antimagic aoe).
The way i like to think about DQM is that its more about training specific talent trees sorta as a class in classical jrpgs and then slapping them onto your favorite monster. Thats different from other monster games where the focus is on training specific monsters from 0 to hero
whats not yet in the Demo but i expect to be in the full game is Skill Fuision. for example having the Wind Type Woosh and the Thunder Type Friz on max gives u the Friz & Woosh Combo Skill Tree. or maxing out Heal and another different Heal Type Skill Tree to get Heal+
Another important fact that helps leveling talents quickly; if both the parents have 50 points into the same talent. Their offsrping will have the upgraded talent as an option. So you don't have to get a talent starred on a single parent to get the upgraded talent.
@HDHaZmY furthermore (as a long-time DQM series player), I advise to try and combine three "XXXX virtuoso" talents. It will lead to a talent that combines all three Virtuoso talents with a few extra spells. The method for filling maxing out talent points, as mentioned in my previous comment, can be used.
@@furani8560 nice man, i thought was 4 virtuoso spells. I got one called "Impactor", it has 200 points. Its cool this way, like monster Cloud Surfer (who has as trait, zap and whooshmeinster) can use a lot of these skills, open one more space for another skill. Dqm rules!!
Woooow thats awesome! That Game has much more depth than the older Versions from the Nintendo DS! Thats awesome! And i was thinking Like "Fusion and thats all?" Thats really really great that Sounds Like a Game i will enjoy for about 100s of hours! Thanks for that awesome Video! ❤️
I'll try to have my current monster team grow up to my favorite monster designs with stronger sets. Like one of my strongest guys is a larger-than-average Imp with a mean Boom spell after maxing out Bang Afficionado. I hope to synthesize it to a fully grown Archdemon with Bang Virtuoso.
Hi Hazmy, thanks for the DQM content and guides. So excited for the games release in a few days. I have a question about what carries over from the demo. It states that monsters levels and moves won't carry over to the full release, but what about monster types, sizes and rarity (like shiny ones)?
Unless you are maxing out a skill tree to evolve it or getting two identical skill trees to 50% on the two fusion candidates for the same reason, there is no real point in spending points, since 50% of the points get transferred regardless of if it was spent or not.
All right so maybe fusing on my monsters make a super monster might be a good way or simply changing up my team and I like my team the best I thought levelling up with pointless and it sort of is you do you have to disconsolate he’s monsters I was trying to figure out figure that out thank you
Specifically for DQ Monsters? I don't think so - there are lots of Dragon Quest Discords - but you can always join my Server where we have a dedicated channel for it!

I didn't know this - that's great info!

Yes I am already planning on researching how to get Uber Mage and the advanced Skill Trees!

Apparently size will carry over - shiny I am not sure!
@@HDHaZmYThanks! 😊
@@HDHaZmY you think ALL monsters be carried over like it says in the end of the demo or only main/reserves like most forums say?
@@kenjifujimoto815 Only the 8

Thanks for the video, can I reset the talent points?
You can reset it with a synthesis!
Can a monster use both virtuoso and affianado? I have a monster with both but no longer has Zam, only Zammle shows up.
Zammle - Kazammle are straight upgrade , no point in using zam.
Can Mud Mannequin synthesize?
is there a discord or reddit community for this game?
