You guys realize that everything she purchases goes back into her business- she uses the macbook to edit and her cameras to film! it’s her own money and she is allowed to spend it in whatever way she would like. it really bothers me when people don’t understand that justine has worked extremely hard for everything she has 💗 keep up the great videos! :)

@@spencerc.3473 yeah some features you need other company products for. Kind of glad about that because knowing Apple one day they may make them incompatible and then you’re forced to buy only their products. Hopefully not though.
I wanted to upgrade my wife’s MacBook she has to this one for her graphics and video stuff for Christmas , buuuuut I’m going to have to work a bit harder on getting her one and one for my mobile music studio. Great review and thank you!!!

@@GhosteTH-cam yeah lol the price tag is fat and it's not really too great of an improvement (from my limited knowledge)... Just pointing out that Justine does that with every product. Even with her Switch review, she mentioned her iPhone and how great it was for about a minute.

@@TorqueCP plus the 64gb ram upgrade on macbook is +800 dollars but 128gb ram top quality is worth like 700$ and if you wanna get 64 gb ram you can get it for less than 400$. pure overprice.
VC_Ghost I think the extra cost isn’t as much about the price of the extra RAM as much as it is a cost you are paying for a version of the product that is in a non-standard configuration. Given you are already paying a premium if you choose to go with an Apple product, it would be nice to see Apple engineer more modularity into their design so their machines could be more upgradable and repairable. I’m not entirely opposed to the idea of integrating components into the motherboard for something like a cellphone or a laptop, but if even the manufacturer doesn’t have the capability to upgrade or repair those components in a cost effective way, it just doesn’t seem worth it.

Face ID and a inbuilt 4/5G digital sim capability would be good. Some laptops have this now so surprised how this new laptop doesn’t have it at all especially for the price

Still... I edit video too, quite seriously.... A PC costing half of that will do the same and more. Even with one PC machine costing 1/3 of that, you're good.

@@albertwang3536 Oh, I've used them.... (and several Linux distros + great apps, at work and home... ).. And certainly... I won't switch! :) ...from Windows... :D. Long time graphic designer, illustrator and 3D artist. _Extremely_ happy with my workflows. But also, for basic computer productivity, there are gazillions of apps in Windows (most Linux and Mac users telling me Windows is bad, typically don't know those), of all kind of flavors. I currently use quite a few. (BTW, Notion is in Windows, too). I prefer computer parts affordability (yay, RAM prices in Apple... :-o ) , the larger variety of choice of those, freedom in building my machine for my purposes (which vary through time or even project), etc. But thank you for the advice.
@@3polygons the RAM prices are insensibly high... I work on a Macbook Pro 13, along with my self-built Gaming PC (it does the heavy lifting). Ive got Alfred, Fantastical and Notion, setup in a workflow and its really hard to ditch Alfred.... I see how Windows can be good though. Notion is magic.
The fact that you can walk with a MacBook Pro in your hands without the fear of getting robbed speaks a lot about the quality life in the U.S.A

I'm still using a 15" MBP 2008 which is the same model that you showed in your video with the silver keyboard. Best laptop Apple ever made except for the crappy Nvidia GPU that kept failing and caused me to get numerous logic board replacements.

Merc in the world of a professional. I’m not rich but every machine I use (including this 16” MBP) has 64GB of RAM. Very helpful for multitasking professionals. And $400 more isn’t that much.

linkerSocke it’s not as cheap as going third party in an iMac or putting 64 in a PC build, but if you’re a creator who uses Apple and you have to be mobile (thus using a MBP), $400 really isn’t much. If you’re working on projects worth thousands of dollars, $400 to help you do that is very reasonable. If you’re NOT getting paid to create things, then you A) certainly don’t need the upgrade and 2) probably don’t even need a MBP.
