Very nice build, looks cozy. With the insane prices for campers I have been thinking about building my own from a cargo trailer, your layout is a great blueprint - thanks for sharing.
Great job. I just wanted to mention on the tongue jack. I heard you say you put the nut on the top to use an impact wrench. Be sure to use only a cordless drill. As an impact wrench will eventually destroy the threads inside of the tongue jack. It’s also much quieter.😂
Nice, this is really all that is needed for the weekend camper...I am curious on how well the 2007 Jeep tows this trailer. I own a 2007 Rubicon, did you upgrade the brakes?? How much weight savings with All Aluminum?
We bought it at a dealer in North Georgia that has since decided to carry only RV's. It's a lightning trailer made by Forrest River. If you google their website you can locate a dealer near you! Thanks so much for watching!!!
RVs are required to have emergency windows to comply with fire codes. The NFPA 1192 code of standards for recreational vehicle safety requires that RVs have at least two emergency exits: one across from the main entry door and one in the sleeping quarters. RVs must also have smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, LP sensors, and CO alarms.
I was just going to ask if it was possible to open the rear doors from the inside, I have been thinking about a project like this and I it occurred to me that if the windows were smaller a 2nd way of exiting the camper would be necessary.
My Wife and I watched all of the videos, some of them several times over. Thank you for all of the detailed help. We ordered the same brand trailer, only a 6x12, and took it out on it's maiden voyage last weekend. We have only installed the insulation, floor, windows and bed so far but it rained 4-5" one day and having an escape was a game changer from a roof top tent. Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for your kind words!!! This is exactly why we film these videos. I am so glad we were able to help. We hope you have many days of happy camping!!!
Approximately 1900 pounds fully loaded (based on calculations). We will eventually try to get it on a scale... Tows great, really no different from the 5X8 we use to tow! Thanks so much for watching!!!
Great question! The towing capacity on my Honda CRV is 1500…what size trailer do you recommend that I get? Love the trailer, by the way, and appreciate all of the videos!
I think we did a total of 14 for walls, ceiling, and floor. This is the best that I can remember (which isn't always accurate)... Thanks for watching!!!
Really love this! But the best tricks and tips I’ve seen yet! Great job
Thank you so much for your kind words, it really means a lot!!! Thank you so much for watching!!!

Thanks for the tip!!! We definitely don't want that! Thanks for watching!!!

Pulls it great! No brake upgrades. Eventually it would be good to add trailer brakes, but not absolutely necessary. Thanks so much for watching!!!
That’s really cute. My family is tall so we would do that floorplan in a 7’ wide 🤣
Love it!🤣 This is one time being shorter is works!
Great build! You did a really nice job. What is your cost ballpark on this project? Under 10k? Again, nice job!
Right at $10k =/-...
Thanks for your kind words, and thanks for watching!!!
Love the cargo net cabinet covers with the envelope function make them a extra step up, NICE!!!
Thanks! It really does help with extra storage space!
@@befreebensondiysaves weight as well. Definitely ingenious 👍

For a light weight cargo trailer camper, this is the best one I have ever seen. Awesome! I may try to do one myself. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you so much for your kind words and thank you for watching!!!
What did the weight end up being and how does it tow behind the 2door? Looks awesome btw
