  • What do you need to expect when starting work at one of the FAANG companies. FAANG stands for Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Netflix, and Google. These companies have almost legendary status among software developers and other IT Professionals. In this video I will talk more about the the role of a software developer at one of these prestigious companies.

I've worked with all of the FAANG companies funnily enough, I can't say anything really besides that all the topics mentioned in this video overlap perfectly. Thank you for sharing these clips, they make sure not keep anyone disillusioned on the structures within.
All of them do have quite unique complex culture structures that do allow for those voids to slip in sometimes, however it's usually seen miles away before that happens, to any proper analysts eye at least.
I'd be most interested in the creative analyst part, as I've been struggling to find anyone that actually even knows how that looks likes?
As I do suffer from mild hypersensitivity, on the all spectrum, that could prove useful to some.

I had an interview with Amazon recruiter and they said I needed to learn Linux more in an admin setting. Using bash scripting etc. He recommended studying for Linux+. But my question to you is do you have a recommendation to grasp Linux in an more hands on learning environment?

Interesting. One thing I did when I was growing through the ranks is that I setup a web hosting business. Linux, networking, DNS, and so on - I picked up skills very quickly and that experience has helped a lot in jobs where I was. I learned how to install software, configure firewall and other security related as well.
So, maybe get a virtual machine or two and build something that forces you to use hands-on Linux.
