This generation D:5 are affordable too, The El Cheapo in me refuses to put big $$ into my cars. Currently have an 09 3.5L Kluger but I think the D:5 is better in almost every single dept.
Yes mate it is really great wagon and it is worth the price you pay. Never had any single problem with it. Modern car inside and outside, very comfortable and economical. Really like to drive it and no matter what terrain. It is no a real and proper 4x4 but does the job very well:)
stephan burgess you right mate, usually as im going 4wd, people around in shock , sometimes they warning me as this car cant go this way or that way...but it's going and pretty easy. ..
It actually 2.4l and 170hp...it is enough power for all occasions...CVT is only weak thing in this car...it is not really like to much "pushing". Diesel model got more torque and proper gearbox, which make tham more reliable cars for 4x4. I personally didn't liked wired throttle from very begining and fitted Apexi throttle when bought car...
@@cengizkhan6567 driveline is different to L400, it us more like Outlander, Dodge Freemont, Jeep Patriot etc. All of them coming from one GS platform. It is still got two subframes at front and rear. I will recomend diesel if you planning a lot offroading or carry a lot of stuff. If you looking more for big family car and just sometimes take it on beach with family petrol will suit you well:)
Hi. Can you tell me how you got your roof rack bars on? Rhino Rack doesn't offer a foot that connects to the type of fixed mount on D5s. Would love to know your solution. Thanks Greg
Hi mate, yes unfortunately Rhino rack do not have installation packages for D5s. What I did I bought 3 heavy duty Pro Racks (1.35m) bars and 2 K332 installation packages.
And later just fitted roof rack on top of bars. Really like this solution as it gives a lot of combinations to fit all 4wd stuff you need. And Pro Rack actually got a lot accessories for this bars.

Hi again. Just a question about putting 3 cross bars on top. Did you find the middle one was higher and therefore front and back needed to be packed up so the tray fitted and was level? I have the pro rack heavy bought and ready to go. Some Intel on what you found would be useful.

1love JDM для семьи машина супер, на бездорожье она также неплоха, если ее чуть чуть доработать, резину побольше слегка поднять... а так даже в стоке сколько раз выезжал на бездорожье проблем особо небыло. Единственная проблема это небольшой ход подвески и частые вывесы на диагоналке. Эту проблему легко решить блокировкой в задний диф. А так езжу и радуюсь, даже скучновато так все хорошо:)
1love JDM трудно сказать если честно, по разным источникам по разному, но в среднем моторесурс около 250т.км до серьезной поломки....но как известно у каждого своя история, если вовремя обслуживать ее качественными зап/частями, и жидкостями то думаю в умеренных руках она долго пробегает...:)
Я бы рекомендовал если финансы позволяют взять дизельную 2.2, они вроде как с 2012 года пошли, там хорошая простая коробка и она довольна приемистая около 360 nm и экономичная. Если нет тогда тут выбор небольшой, как у меня 2.4 бензин на вариаторе. Тут многие могут вас запугать вариатором и т.д но поверьте я свою гонял и по болотам и по грязям и в песках в 37° жару с полным обмундированием и 4 людьми и все в порядке ни муфта не грелась не вариатор в защиту не уходил. На трассе мощности хоть отбавляй да и по городу она впереди потока если надо, вариатор очень отзывчивый и довольно четкий по ускорениям если нужно.

@@moogii0126 Diesel D5 got more torque, proper gearbox (not CVT) and lows. Which is perfect combination for offroading and cruising around.

Yes it s possible to is switch off ESP. And it helps especially in dunes.

Yes it is a 40mm+ heavy duty springs front and back, 40mm spacers for back shocks, and adjustable camber bolts at front.

We do import them in I'm looking at getting one next year my only concern is that I can only find a tow bar rated for it at 1000kg to tow a boat

i have daytona 17s with at tires and it does the job for beach driving whitch is what i wanted it for
16inch is the best match for d5. i,m using bf on mk-46 sized 235/70 16inch. best match.
How's the power? the diesels sell for twice the price but if the petrol isn't too bad wld look at getting one. Useful ere in W.A.
