    Been wheeling my 4.5 RC kit since 2015, i had to replace the tires, shocks, and steering stabalizer immediately (death wobble) bilstein shocks fixed the ride. ive also added a 6' drop pitman and some 6" leaf spring shackles; ive also replaced the rear spring bushings with some poly eurethane ones when they started chattering - the sway bar bushings are also overdue for a replacement. I think i'm on my 3rd tie rod they break at the nut post if you wheel them too hard (good part to keep on hand for $130 or so) i've also broken a control arm mount (not sure how it happened). I do pretty light wheeling these days mostly grocerry runs alot of this stuff is just regular wear and tear but it does add up.

    Nice video Ronnie! If someone wants a great modest lift (2" lift with 30" tires) I'd recommend Old Man Emu springs & shocks that will provide an excellent ride and are durable enough for moderate trails ( about 70% of the trails in California are rated moderate)- worth the money over the long hall. in addition, Rubicon Express control arms and moog suspension parts: tie rods and ball joints will complete a 1st class build

    I got a rough country lift on my jeep and I got 10,000 miles on it. The only problem I got is that it's getting rusty in the Minnesota winters. I think it's the installers and the operator.

    I went with Quadratec and got their 3 1/2” Rubicon express kit for Chrysler 8.25 . Everything in one package kit. Just purchased my 2001 XJ the guy before me addded pucks up front and add a leave in rear. Rear springs are about ready to break. So I went with Quadratec Rubicon super ride no shocks I purchased Rubicon 3 1/2”-4” shocks alone then the kit. Haven’t installed it yet cuz delivered today on a Sunday ordered Friday super fast shipping. Only thing missing is coils they are in Syracuse 30 minutes away. Raining today anyways. I will start install as soon as it is no rain for three days I will start.

    I started junk yard...my main spring on the cherokee was broke, so we shoved the full s10 leaf spring in with poly bushings and 3" silverado drop shackles. I bought Crown brake lines and SYE. My front has cut down JK lowers, and core 4x4 adjustable uppers. My buddy is a bronco guy, and said bronco coils are taller than f150 coils. I got some stock bronco coils from him and then he gave me some bronco coils for a 3" lift, thats what i ended up using. Im running a WJ front drive shaftand a custom rear, Rubicon Express sway bar disconnects. JKS track bar, and skayjacker shocks. And i just bought cav fabs high clearence steering. Its sitting on 35s.
    I'm thinking about going 3 link now though.

    I just installed a full 3.5” Rancho lift kit for my 2000 xj with the Chrysler rear end. After the lift has been installed it no longer sags but I’m getting horrible vibrations from 15 mph to around 50mph. I’m assuming it’s DS issues but figured I’d ask if that is too much lift for my Jeep. Running 31x10.5x15 tires.

  • @1598hi

    So heres my build. It's not on the truck yet just sitting in boxes. Installing it next week. Rubicon express 3.5 superflex with monotube shocks, iro track bar with drop kit, advance adaptors sye and once the lift is on and I can measure, a custom Adam's drive shaft. I chose these parts to ride soft and comfortable on the road, last many years and not worry about breaking anything off road. What do you think about my choice?

      Unibody means the frame is basically molded to the body. You’re not putting a shell on a frame and bolting it together. That is when you can space the body from the frame.

      I had this issue a few years ago. A relative drove it over a fallen tree on the highway on accident. I literally had to keep on the gas even when stopped. Turned out to be that working harness for the fuel pump. I'd check that for damage and clean the connector. Also make sure your iac is set properly. Early model jeeps had ones that were adjustable. Ho jeeps have ones that dont adjust so its just plug and play

    • @andrewwinchel4659
      @andrewwinchel4659 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had similar issue, especially when going up hill. It was the catalytic converter. The insides broke brown and shifted, blocking the flow.
      I changed the fuel filter, O2, and Map. Now I have extras I guess.
